Spoilers ahead kiddies, dont read this post if you haven't beaten ff8 yet.

So even though I beat the game, I haven't replayed it in awhile and my memory might be foggy so bear with me. The game starts with Squall, a student at Garden, training and getting ready for some missions that he is deployed to do. Get sent out to fight some country, do some crazy assassination mission on a train, cool. Then the whole Sorceress Edea storyarc appears. Failed assassination attempt on her, Squall is seen in bad condition at the cliffhanger ending of disc one. Not bad, let's continue.

Disc two. Squall and crew escape prison with the help of some ginger Sonic the hedgehog characters that apparently know him. After escaping, one of the Gardens get missiled into charcoal, so while one team attempts to stop the ICBM's, Squall has to battle Garden's main shareholder/accountant aka NORG. wtf is this I dont even After the battle though, everything is okay because NORG's people apologize on his behalf for trying to overthrow the school. Its all gravy. Unfortunately the missiles were not stopped but it's k because Squall accidently caused the Garden to sprout wings and fly away from the disaster. I'm not kidding. After that, some forces invade the flying circus in search for a girl that has been sending Squall back in time via flashbacks to change the present. The oddities continue when upon going through the wreckage of the old garden that got blasted, everyone all realizes at once that they were all raised in an orphanage together by the Sorceress who Squall was told to assassinate.

Do you really want me to continue explaining why this story is dumb, or have you not figured it out for yourself yet?
Ok, i'm with you on the flying garden, that was a little over the top. But i'm not going pretend that every other final fantasy game didn't have over the top moments. You named all the events, but you should have payed attention to the character development in this game, it was good. Rather you liked the love story or not, i thought it was put in this game without sacrificing or taking from the main plot of the game. Sorry, but I can't take what you just posted and just write off the rest of the story as dumb.
