I would love to participate in a gaming tournament. Unfortunately, the area where I live does not have a big gaming community. People may have consoles to play, but the activities that interest a lot of residents is more of the outside variety. Hunting, fishing, off-road vehicles, and things similar to those are big around here.
On top of that, I don't play games that tournaments feature. I am no good at sports games, and most shooters are unable to hold my interest (I'm decent at the actual shooting aspect of the games though). I do enjoy playing multiplayer Grand Theft Auto IV deathmatches. I am horrible at driving, but the shooting is fun.
There is a tournament at the end of the month in Centerville, Ohio. But...
a) I have never played Black Ops II.
b) Centerville is 70 miles away, and it's a two-day event.
c) Entry fee costs as much as a new video game.
So my chances of playing in a tournament are low. For now.
