AWESOME!
Finished the first one, loved it. Perfect.
The English release of the JRPG Guide Fate Paradox hit recently and now NIS has announced that there will be a sequel to the game. It will still feature the character designs from the first game and have similar features. It will have a full 3D dungeon to navigate that is still randomized.
The story is set a few years after the first game with the theme being the "Ultimate Choice". In the case for the story, the main character will have to chose who he saves and who will die. He will be unable to save everyone, the choices made will alter the endings and the way the main character thinks and feels.

I haven't been able to finish it since I loaned it to someone. But I got it back. So I'm going to finishing it at some point. But next week on is going to be bonkers. >< Either way, looking forward to this.

Judging by the info you've given out here it seems like the sequel would be considerably more darker than the first. Choosing who lives is essentially the same as choosing who dies, and if the choose is between 2 characters you've become invested in, I really cant see this being bright and colourful like the first.
Yeah, that's why I'm really interested in seeing how it plays out. A darker tone will make it a fun departure from what I'm used to getting from NIS. I just hope there isn't a perfect ending where you're able to not sacrifice anyone. As sad as it is, I want the consequence of someone living and someone dying to be in all of the endings. It gives more weight to things rather than feeling like you can cheat death if you play right.
