Scariest videogame character/s

Which videogame character/s has scared the s*** out of you in the past and maybe still does to this day? It isnt always necessarily a villain, for example the Bazaar's Fortune Teller in Skyward Sword I found HIGHLY DISTURBING. Nemesis and Pyramid Head look 'attractive' next to THAT..THING. Well to me anyway. Resident Evil games had a few memorable scary characters such as Nemesis..when you suddenly heard "STARS" in that growling, deep mutant voice..Then it was time to RUN..and hopefully not straight into the fker. Even through the doors i was shit scared but real excited at the same timeXD Ill never understand why people find Dead space the scariest game ever I know everyone's entitled to their opinion but..FK THAT!! HAVE THEY NOT PLAYED AMNESIA: DARK DESCENT, SIREN:BLOOD CURSE, PROJECT ZERO 3: THE TORMENTED, CLOCKTOWER OR FATAL FRAME?!?!!!~ PUSSIES. Lets leave Scariest Game for another thread. Other guys for me on the scariest list are Scissorman from Clocktower, Pyramid Head, those crazy W(B)itches from Left 4 Dead2 and pretty much anything that moves in the games I mentioned..

Mr. X from Resident Evil 2 in the B Scenario. When he is initially dropped down on you, you're like, OH, a boss for later! Then, he's right there in front of you, and if you run, this mofo breaks down the wall to come get you. That is the scariest moment in any video game ever. Also, there's a part where a Licker breaks through the glass and it makes me jump and freak out because they're tough if you're not equipped right.

Pyramid Head battle in the labyrinth is also intense because you have to see him multiple times if you don't know where you're going. It just adds to the intensity.

Easily the most disturbing and creepy boss I have faced in my entire life. I think it's the fact that Earthbound is reasonably light hearted game, and then BAM! This guy scares the shit out of you.

I also think it is the theory that comes along with him, and what the boss fight is actually based on.

Pyramid Head/The Boogeyman is still named the scariest video game character out there. Even today he's probably the scariest and most iconic character in the Silent Hill series. I can't really think of any thing that can come close to him.

Amnesia:The Dark Descent makes for a good aid if you're constipated. /ZeroPunctuation The Milky Way video somewhat lessens the intensity though, because it's hilarious watching people freak out.

I used to be afraid of the Big Daddies from Bioshock, but they don't hurt you if you leave the Little Sisters alone, so...that takes away some of the fear too.

The Floormasters in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker scared me pretty badly when I played it. Skinny, black hands on arms that pop up when you walk close, latch onto your head, and drag you into a black abyss while making some kind of inhuman screeching sound. Terrifying when it happens and you least expect it.

This game was scary as ****. Not only because the monsters looked so freaky and so was the hideous/disfigured man you were chasing, but monsters were very tough which gave you a reason to fear them.

I played siren blood curse, I thought that was pretty freaky, especially how you hijack vision of the enemy. That added a whole new sense of anticipation to the game.

lol was going to say this guy too. What scares me the most is that he doesn't RUN but he always seem to be able to keep up with you. Like those villains in serial killer movies that are all cool because they know they are going to get you.

Nemesis is also scary.....

Also in Silent Hill..those little burned baby things at the hospital.,NVM, f*ck that, EVERYTHING about Silent Hill was scary. Even the human characters...with their seemingly blank stare and really pale complexion.

Mr. Friend from Rugrats: Search for Reptar. The "lovable" toy that tries to scare Tommy Pickles AND teach him good hygiene. Not only is there a level strictly about this demonic toy of death, but then he makes an appearance in a darkened toy store to chase you again. I am not scared of him now, but back when I was <10 years old he was a bit scary.

Nowadays, if it is something that falls from a ceiling, or pops out from around a corner, I can get frightened by it while gaming.

I actually liked the movie. In fact, it may be the best video game movie adaptation I've seen. It felt like I was playing the game but then it may not be the same for those who have not played it.

Yeah RE has zombies and SH has god knows what, but this is ALIEN zombies seriously aliens.
When you have read the book it really makes you appreciate the movies and games much more, and if you have kudos to you.

Holy shit talk about ghosts of the past I remember this game mang, at least with this game most of the mutants gave you time to react, and you had to hack em apart piece by piece and yet the buggers would still attack you.

I loved the movies of RE and SH and since these other games have been mentioned I like the looks of Amnesia and Siren Blood curse, but if I went back and played the other ones I think it would do my head in with the old graphics.

Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth and Silent Hill 2 are by far the scariest games I ever played, Pyramid Head though is definitely the scariest opponent I ever encountered in a video game.

One foe that also creeps shit outta me is Cherub from Doom 3, it's design and voice is hauntingly sick.

Haha jk if you look at the concept of the games put together as a whole then yes Amnesia looks more scary because you have nothing to defend yourself, the foreboding music and aesthetics of the environment and anxiety and suspense, whereas Dead space you just have the music and suspense with Dead space oh and the ALIEN Zombies.
But I would not like to face a necromorph, an Alien zombie that operates like an ant scares the shit out of me, actually ants scare me by themselves.

Just bought dead space 2 a few days ago, completed it a few days ago. That is probably one of the scariest games I've played in a while. The monsters are really freaky.

Dead Space 2 was kind of a let down for me compared to the first in terms of scariness. It had some scenes that made me jump a little, but the fear wasn't really.

Though the children/babies and his dead girlfriend creeped me out at times.

Coming face to face with these is scary as hell. AND they can kill you in one shot.

I second... third... or whatever number we're at (too lazy to check) Giygas. That final battle was rather distressing. I remember staying awake, thinking about it. Dunno if he'd have the same effect if I played the game today, but back then...

As far as Bioshock goes, the Big Sisters are designed to be pretty scary. Once you save too many little sisters, the Big Sisters come to kill you, and the game gives you warnings: "A Big Sister is on its way!" "The Big Sister is almost here!" And then they kick your ass. Doesn't really scare me though; just kinda frustrates me due to how much of my ammo and health packs I'd use up fighting them. (Although nothing's quite as bad as protecting a harvesting little sister... but that's another topic.) Still, I appreciate the effort they took to make the Big Sisters scary. Oh, and I didn't find Big Daddies scary. Dodie's just a chicken wuss

Spoiler: It could be said that many monsters while playing Dante's Inferno. Medusa is creepy as hell and I can never look at my wife's boobs the same way again. Too creepy when she pulls out those baby monsters from the nipples.

Those fireball-throwing "imps"(although they looked more like wolfmen) from the original Doom still scare me. There's just something about that hissing noise they make and the gross sizzling sound when you get too close and they start frying you at pointblank range.

The split-face dogs and nurses in Silent Hill 3 were terrifying for different reasons. The dogs could just leap from the darkness and take a bite out of you. You always knew when the nurses were there because you can hear them breathing, but don't see them until they're almost on top of you.

And I liked the SH movie. It was easily the least bad VG flick I've ever seen. The acting isn't perfect, but they captured the look and feel of the series extremely well.

When I was little, I kinda developed Arachnophobia because of this game called Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. They had these real ugly spiders-pitch black and huge.
I'm still scared of them to this day.

There was also Darkside from Kingdom Hearts. I was seven years old when I was first playing Kingdom Hearts, and was like "OH MY GOD TURN IT OFF TURN IT OFF" when I first saw it. First couple of days, I had nightmares, and left the game alone for quite a while--more than 2 years--until I looked at the game again and thought to myself, "okay bro I can take you on you evil abomination of a devil". I'm no longer scared of it, but the sight of it does invoke some pretty bad memories...

Last one-this one time I went to my friend's house for a party and she was playing a pretty scary game on her Wii. I can't remember the title for my life, but the ghost at Chapter 1 was pretty freaky. @_@
