First English Trailer for Tales of Xillia 2

Namco Bandai took time at TGS to release the first English trailer for their sequel to Tales of Xillia, only recently released in August. This is a sign that they have already started localizing the game preparing it for their 2014 release. No further details were given on when to expect it next year, but with the release of Tales of Symphonia HD in the early part of 2014, it is best to expect Xillia 2 out later and possibly in a similar time of the year as Xillia.

I never played the first (or any of the tales games for that matter), but based on what I'm seeing from this trailer I'm going to have to reconsider that. As long as the voice actor's live up to that trailer's voice over I can see myself getting the game. After the first, of course.

I have a couple of the trailers up in the forum for Tales of Xillia, if you want to see them. It is a very good game and if you've played any of the Tales games it is one of the best of the series.

I have not played a single Tales game. xD I've always wanted to, but I've never managed to work that series into my list of games to play. :C

Tales of Xillia would be a great place to start. It has all of the standard trappings of a Tales game with even more of it dubbed than past Tales games back on the PS2 and Gamecube. Tales games have a lot of content and plenty to see and do. This game is very accessible for new players to the series and can be a good gateway into other games in the series.

I'm glad it's like that and now that you mention gamecube, I think I've played one on the game cube. It wasn't something that I got too into, however given that it wasn't my game cube or game, but I still played it. It had a kid with a red jacket and two swords and on the cover his arms are crossed. At least I believe that's what it looked like, I could be completely wrong and could be making a fool of myself. I'll make a stop at my local game store and see if there are any copies there to purchase.

You're thinking of Tales of Symphonia, which will be getting a HD version come next year for the PS3. Tales of Symphonia is wildly considered one of the best Tales games by fans, and a lot place it as the peak of the series. Though Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Xillia end up near the top as well by just as many fans.

I will be picking that up on release day then, because I really enjoyed playing that game. It was a helluva lot more fun than a lot of the games that I've been trying to play in recent years (I'm looking at you Infinite Undiscovery).

Wow, Infinite Undiscovery, haven't heard that name in a while. Well, there is a lot of great RPGs on the PS3 to try out and the library only continues to get better with each passing month. The Tales games are going to be adding to that list.
