So..... who's got it?

Since my hubby and I played the ever lovin' SHIT out of the first one we've been pretty stoked for this one to come out. I looked for another thread like this but didn't see one? Sorry if there is (still getting adjusted to this new look ha ha ha).

We have two copies, so both of us can game on our respective consoles upstairs and downstairs and not have to do split screen. So far, I'm lovin' it!

I played it on my laptop last night, im installing it into my desktop machine as I type this. I was having fun from what I played last night on my laptop, but much prefer to play on my desktop as its far more suitable for gaming. Im playing as a siren because I like the special move and in borderlands 1, phase walk was my favorite move. Im hoping to smash out the game over the weekend =D

I just got Borderlands 1 finally because I'm that hip.

I'm just so broke I can't purchase it and I really really wanted to get through on Borderlands 1 so I'm playing it. Although I have been in a huge Dead Island itch. All my friends are saying get Borderlands 2, I will one day.

There's been 1 tiny hitch that has irked me thus far however, my ability to join other matches from people on Friend's List seem to be not there.. like, every attempt has been unsuccessful (times out). It's good to get some solo experience sure but doing it with a full team? sounds alot easier - not to mention fun. So which did you choose for your first playthrough? went straight for Zer0 .. that Deception ability he has is crazy. Very handy to get behind those pesky Badass Nomads and their massive Shields. My bud ZRO4285 has been rather vexed about these said Nomads but I don't have any issues with them due to Deception.

I just got Borderlands 1 finally because I'm that hip.

I too got my hands on Borderlands recently... I on the other hand couldn't get into it at all. Looting just doesn't feel satisfying, quests are repetitive and dull, and as far as shooting goes, honestly it appears to be broken. No damage whatsoever even though I aimed perfectly at his head, the pistol accuracy is over 90%, and to make things worse he's almost next to me, this happens way too often to be a mere coincidence. It has it's positive sides of course, love the RPG aspect of it, and the overall art style is not something you see often.

Nevertheless, I might look into Borderlands 2 as it appears to be a lot better game.

Dawzey - We have that problem as well, its friggin' annoying. Not exactly sure what the problem is other than will have to wait for a patch I suppose. I'm playing as a Siren. I did Siren in the first one and leveled that one up to cap and then started out a Soldier and maxed out his level as well. The Phaselock as opposed to Phasewalk is pretty neat. My hubby plays as Zero as well and their two abilities really work well together

Although I'm not playing on Steam . I'm on the 360. Boooooooooo to not being able to co op. Yes, the game is meant to be played with others, ideally 4 people. The more people the stronger the enemies which means better LOOT!

I've had no issues with the Nomads so far... mainly because on my literal first pull at the slot machines in Sanctuary I got 3 of the Borderlands symbol and got an Elite gun (yeehaw!) that deals corrosive damage. I've got a corrosive Mod on so they literally melt in front of me in seconds. ****in' eh!

Bought it yesterday pulled an all nighter on it currently Lvl 25 Commando. Was gonna go with a Assassin, but my 3 friends are Gunzerker, Assassin, and Siren so I picked Commando to fill up the group.

Ok i know nothing about this game and I'm intrigued. What kind of gameplay does this offer exactly?

Is it co-op vs comp? or a team based? Weapons look a bit mad, what does it offer than other fps games dont? Is it traditonal fps? or does it have other features which make it something more?

Siren's a beast! Just beat it last weekend on PC but taking a good break because I know a lot of people are picking it up when it goes on sale during the holidays. Incredible game, just don't want to get too burnt out on it just yet plus the dl content and the other character coming out eventually. What's the deal with the berserker guy? No one likes him and they say he's boring to play? I'll have to try him out this weekend. Also, grabbing some friends to play this with you is a fantastic idea. DO IT!

There's a guy on my friends list that I met while obsessed with ME3's multi player that has been online non-stop since the game released. Ha ha ha! Wish I had the time to game like that!

This is more or less my experience with borderlands. I don't see why it got the praise it got.
I'll probably pick up number 2 when the price drops.

Learn 2 aim? Because I just was playing it last night intoxicated and when my cross hair was on the head, and he was stationary, it hit the head...they were running, I had to adjust. I honestly think you were lagging or not actually hitting the head. It's not Counter Strike or Call of Duty, if your cross hair is a fraction of a millimeter from the head, it's not going to hit. I was actually messing with it last nite on a Psycho being stuck to a wall. Borderlands 1.

I'm not a fool loaf, you speak to me as if I never played FPS/RPG games before. Perhaps it has something to do with me turning off aim assist, why the hell do we need aim assist on PC in the first place?

I am a level 44 Commando and solo smashed Terramorpheous he didn't stand a chance. His tentacles were a bitch but throw down a turret, and unload on him nonstop with my rapid infinity no prob.

Hitboxes on the head aren't that small, especially in Call of Duty. The problem is ping, what you see isn't what everyone else is seeing. The game collects all if it at once and makes its judgement. Thats why if you go back in theater and watch it over again it will usually show something different than what you experienced. I say usually because there are always exceptions.

I just learned that Borderlands isn't hitscan, so that might have been my problem.

Phil and I are always up for Co Op he's got a maxxed out Assassin and Berzerker (sp?), I've got a maxxed Siren and (almost) maxxed out soldier.

Loving it so far, although I haven't really played an awful lot of it. I'm playing on PC, picked the Assassin, and because I have the first game, he looks like a Xenomorph. Which is cool.

He is lv. 6 at the moment. I really like the game in general, I think it has improved in every aspect of the first game. Especially the visuals. On my PC, it looks stunning.
