    t.A.t.U you mean?

The "lesbian" russian pop girls? I think the question is who hasn't heard of them. They were pretty good, but they weren't really lesbian. If anything they were bi. The lesbianism was used for marketing. And I don't think they made their own KH theme because they broke up long before KH came out.

On behalf of the Music moderator, please don't two-line. Give a more indepth explanation when at TFF, please.

Anyway, yes, I have heard of TATU, and I like them a lot.

(Although Bjork owns them in my personal opinion.)

Just for the record, TATU aren't Japanese (well, not the one I know of.)
I do know of another Australian small -time band known as TATY, but that's almost completely irrelevent.

TATU are Russian (not even lesbians, so before anyone goes off the band-wagon saying 'DERE HAWT CUZ DERE LESBIANS", you'd be making a fool of yourself), singers who were told by their agent to "pretend" to be lesbians because they'd sell more.

Anyway, though, my favourite tracks by them is "All About Us". I also like...

    All The Things She Said.
    Loves Me Not.
    They're Not Gunna Get Us.

I personally don't care that they sound strangely like castrated chimpunks, I like their beats.

The person in my avatar is me.

Yeah, I like their beats as well, and no, they're nowhere near Japanese. My favorite songs are pretty much the songs that have music videos to them. See, I had always thought they were lesbians until I discovered that they weren't. Kinda sucked, but they were still hot anyway.

Too bad they disappeared, though. I heard they broke up because they were cheating on their boyfriends with.. the other's boyfriend. Soap Opera, much?

DERE HAWT CUZ DERE HOT GRLS, WHY R U SO CRAYZY?

Anyways, yes, I've heard of these... good vocals powered by almost completely pop music. Bjork does indeed slay them with a spork.

Their not even les dude. They're bi like Great Writer Fuji had stated earlier. There an alright band though. I like a few songs they had made. "All the things she said" and "They're not gonna get us" are one of my favorites. A long time ago when they were talked about on TV, the girls have dated guys during the time when their music was out though. So the lesbain gig is sadly, but just a marketing thing to sell their music, but who cares.

Just like nearly every girl on the internet claims they are bi.

I have heard of them, I like Russians, I like Russian Music, however I do not like this Russian Music.

*Plays some Branikald (I don't have much else from Russia )

And like an ammount of those that claim to be are actually bi. Yes, it happens.

I like a few of their songs. Okay, that's an overstatement as the only one I remember is Loves Me Not...or something along those lines and that one in which they dressed as gay lovers. Even then, like most popish music, it's more of an "I've been humming it for days" kind of like.

    Until now!

Tatu? Of course I know them. I think I have "All the things she said" permanently ingrained into my brain from watching that videoclip so much...

Yes, I know the whole lesbian thing was fake, but it was rather well faked >.>
Nah, I really liked their music. I really like alot of the lyric, too, because I can [could?] relate to it. It's not usually my sort of music, but I kinda got caught up in it's catchiness, and then really started listening to it.

    Lyrics-ness:

    All the things she said
    All the things she said
    Running through my head
    All the things she said
    All the things she said
    Running through my head
    This is not enough

Im in serious shit, I feel totally lost
If Im asking for help its only because
Being with you has opened my eyes
Could I ever believe such a perfect surprise?

I keep asking myself, wondering how
I keep closing my eyes but I cant block you out
Wanna fly to a place where its just you and me
Nobody else so we can be free

    All the things she said
    All the things she said
    Running through my head
    All the things she said
    All the things she said
    Running through my head
    This is not enough
    This is not enough

    All the things she said
    All the things she said

And Im all mixed up, feeling cornered and rushed
They say its my fault but I want her so much
Wanna fly her away where the sun and rain
Come in over my face, wash away all the shame
When they stop and stare - dont worry me
cause Im feeling for her what shes feeling for me
I can try to pretend, I can try to forget
But its driving me mad, going out of my head

    Mother looking at me
Tell me what do you see?
    Yes, Ive lost my mind

    Daddy looking at me
    Will I ever be free?
    Have I crossed the line?
I've been on this site since 2006 woah

Yeah I definitely remember them and their whole craze a few years back (eh can't remember when). I swear they won some kind of music awards or something which amazed me. My older brother actually gave into the craze and got their album saying that they are the best new band of the year . I never once took them or their music seriously, so they're not lesbian? Eh I can atleast use my imagination. *hmmm..sexy russians*

..and if you want to compare them to Bjork, then Bjork DEFINITELY pwns them like n00bs!

    Bjork ftw.

I remember that song All the Things She Said. I quite like it. I haven't heard anything else by them, apart from a song, the video for which involves a red cadillac and something that looked like attempted rape (one girl saves the other from a man); that song irritated me.

I remember the big hooha about the lesbian music video, the one with the rain and the fence and all the umbrellas. I felt sorry for the girls when I saw that; they looked a bit on the young side.

^Aye, they were seventeen and eighteen.

Not "too young" persay, but that seventeen year old was seriously getting molested by that curly haired craddle robber!!

I joke, although that's how old they were at the time.

Although, there was something cool about that video. I don't know what it was, but I liked it. I even have it somewhere on the single when I bought it.

Lesbian talk... I'll only do that with one or two of my female friends at best -- and it's all jokes. Obabilol.

    Liking TATU, though.

They once performed a song with massively famous German metal band Rammstein, although I haven't heard it.

of course, I have their first cd...bought it when "All the Things She Said" was popular 4 or so years ago. Like stated above, and just to add: they aren't Japanese at all? And their manager was a creep who marketed them like that. I believe I read that he was a psychologist, which may explain why he knew that the act would be a hit (although it's not rocket science.) They actually stated in an interview around the time that they were getting popular here in the US that they both had boyfriends. I haven't heard their new stuff though, and I don't plan on it: I heard it wasn't very good.

I read a review in Blender magazine that they had a new cd coming out, and this was like a year or two ago...

    Dangerous and Moving

    October '05

And I also see on Amazong that they have a greatest hits album, released September '06? Ironic seeing as how they've only had two studio albums

Oh yea, that's right. Interesting. I didn't think there were any new CDs considering they broke up around what.. '03, 04'?

  18. #18
You'd think that once the word about them actually being straight got around, that they'd know their 15 minutes of fame was over.

But nope, B-list celebrities (including B-list musicians) feel the need to milk it for all it's worth. well, they all do.

Yeah they actually had a 05 release, "Dangerous and Moving". It was long after the turmoil and controversy (and after one of the members had a baby ), I think they tried to ditch the whole schoolgirl lesbian image and mature their sound a little bit (they even had Sting play bass on a track), but eh I don't think it worked to well.

Greatest hits though? hah, what a joke.

Yeah why bother with a greates hits CD when they only made one album or possible another one? I don't think its record would sell good in the charts though. Who knows though. As for one of them having a baby......wow. I wouldn't be surprised though. Life goes on.

yeah... if u like tatu , there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....

Wow, this topic is pretty old but yes I have heard of TaTu or however it is spelt haha. I have their first album from a few years ago, they're not too bad either. I don't think they're together anymore.. are they? I heard that one of them was pregnant or something but that was ages ago so if that was true than she would have had that baby by now. Then again, you don't believe everything you hear from those stupid tabloids.

They have a few good songs that I enjoy, one of their newer ones is good too, can't remember the name. ><

I don't mean to bring up old forms but T.A.T.U. never broke up really, they took a break. Kinda like what Green Day does in between albums. They have a new release out and one of there songs is on the Top 10 Countdown on a Euro channel. It's quite the interesting song, stays in your head forever (even though I have no idea what they're saying...
So now you’re suffering the fallacy of what you said
When you uncover the depression from where you’ve tread
Breathe over the glass you wrote on
Swallow all that you waste your throat on
You wear the mark and wave the banner they made with sin
Revealing every single lie that you’ve been breeding within
Wash over the skin you’ve broken
Think over the tone you spoke in
