rap nowerdays just makes no sence lets give you a snippit.

1, here comes the 2 to the 3 to the 4,
Everybody drunk out on the dance floor,
Babygirl ass jiggle like she want more,
Like she a groupie and I aint even on tour,
Maybe cause she heard that I rhyme hardcore,
Or maybe cause she heard that I buy out the stores,
Bottom of the 9th and a ***** gotta score,
I literally laughed when reading this. I agree with you. A lot of it has gotten stupid and we need the good shit back already. I'm no sick of hearing Soulja Boy or "Thick like sneakers". But I have a sister who likes it which I hear it nearly everyday. I still don't see how we're related. ><

50!!!! I like 50 and also the Kottonmouth Kings . Didn't 50 retire by the way? He lost to Kanye West and they made a deal or something like that I heard a while back. Eh, honestly I'm tired of Akon. I've been hearing him all year long along with T-Pain and its just gotten boring.

For old Hip-Hop/Rap, Wu Tang Clan is good to listen to. GOOD lyrics with the whole Shaolin style of rap, the metaphors that these guys come up are just insanely good.

For more current stuff, I love listening to Young Jeezy, he's currently my favorite rapper. All of his CDs are outstandingly good, and yet he doesnt get a lot of airtime, but I could keep all of his stuff to myself if I needed to lol. His newest CD he worked on with his entourage group is called "Cold Summer," and if you like rap even the tiniest bit, you need to go find that CD now!

    Man........

Is this 2008 cause clicking on this thread makes me feel like I'm in a Impala 64' low rider. I can understand how some of yall feel about OLD skool but we in a whole other century.

Really who I think NOW is making their mark, is my nig Juelz Santana. He entertains his audience by spitting punchlines, what MANY others do. I mean his consistency, delivery, and swag is all what he brings on each and every track. ESPECIALLY when he is with Lil Wayne. To me, him, Wayne, and Fabulous is running this game as far as lyrics. Not to mention the slogan, AY!!!!!!!

Most of yall who posted on here stating that some rappers rap or think too high of themselves, right NOW, that's what it's all about. You get no rep just making videos w/ sexy women and a flashy lifestyle. You gotta emphasize it into a message. I mean yeah, the old skool paved the way, but it's a whole new era NOW. Even some of the old rappers yall speak on thats still rapping changed they swagger. Where are the west coast rappers at now ? I only give respect to 2 Pac(West side legend), Game(soon 2 B legend), Warren G, Nate Dogg, Ice Cube, Eazy-E(where is his love?), Outlawz, and Snoop Dogg.

As far as the mainstream of hip-hop, I hate it. All these damn weak ass club songs and female songs making rap seem soft. Gucci Mane, Diplomats, Fabulous, Lil Wayne, Webbie, Lil Boosie, Yo Gotti, Styles P, and Ludacris is in my list of who's holding it down. Especially the Dips. Man nobody as a whole is better than the Diplomats. They got Cam of course, J.R Writer, Juelz, Hell Rell, and many others. Them alone is killing anybody in a diss .

Most of TFF members here don't appreciate hip-hop currently like I do but I will say this. All of yall have to stop timetraveling and learn to fit in to someone you know your comfortable with because mainstream rap does SUCK AZZ ! I stick to the mixtape/ up in coming cds + people who spits punchlines(metaphors to dumb it down for yall). I don't know about yall but, I like FIGURING my rappers meanings instead of it PLAINLY rapped.

I think if Game still stuck with the Shady/Aftermath label, he would have been up there right now with Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana and everyone else that is killing the beats right now. I mean yeah, I have his Doctors Advocate CD and its very good, but my God, The Documentary just lit up the whole rap scene when that hit the stores. You know hes got the talent too, after being dropped from the label that was making a killing in the sales at that time to doing his own thing, and it hardly affected him. Plus, his 300 bars and running song is the most insane genius I have heard in ages! I get all giddy just listening to puting his emotions in the microphone on that song..

You got to admit right now, the rappers from the south have pretty much all the control in the game right now, I mean do they really have any artists that are less then simply great?
