I've been having quite a bit of Symphonic Black Metal period lately where I've been playing nothing but Norwegian shit like Old Man's Child, Emperor, Immortal (even though the latter is less Symphonic) anyway I want to get more into Doom, been listening to Nortt some times and I enjoy that so I kinda hoped someone would be so Doomish to recommend me some bands in said genre. \m/

METAL IST KRIEG!!!
Doom, probably my third favorite metal subgenre outside of black and folk. Here's a decent sized list of death doom.

First off the four classic death/doom bands that everyone must know so they can understand the roots of the style.

Anathema:
Crestfallen
Serenades
Pentecost III
The Silent Enigma
Eternity (Okay so this release isn't death/doom but it is by FAR their best release.)

My Dying Bride:
As The Flowers Wither
Turn Lose The Swans
The Angel and the Dark River

Paradise Lost:
Gothic
Icon
Shades of God
Draconian Times

Katatonia:
Jhva Elohim Meth... the Revival
Dance of December Souls
Brave Murder Day

Now onto my personal picks for genre essentials.

Black Forest:
Sadness

Catherdal:
Forest of Equilibrium

Daylight Dies
No Reply
Idle
Dismantling Devotion

diSEMBOWELMENT
Transcendence Into The Peripheral

Evoken:
Embrace The Emptiness
Quietus

Veronika Decides To Die

Whispering Forest:
