It's been what, 4 months since I updated this? I've been meaning to since the start of the new year but I kept putting if off for a variety of reasons.

Had a pretty awesome few days of gaming. I beat The Emperor for the first time on Final Fantasy II, and completed Metal Gear Rising Revengence on Easy Mode.

Whenever I'd step foot into Pandemonium i'd get jumped by a group of Dark Knights, or Death Riders, or whatever they're called, and my party would get picked off one ...

Mom accidentally woke me up this morning by turning on the light in the room I was in. She wasn't used to the house, so she was turning on lights to find her way through the house. It was almost the time I usually get up at, so I just stayed awake. We talked as she drank actual coffee for the first time in four years. Then after the third cup, she said that it was too weak, and that she'd make it stronger tomorrow. She couldn't help it, since she hasn't made anything other than instant coffee ...

I had trouble getting to sleep last night. I wasn't the only one, both of my siblings were up throughout the night as well. Then, at about 4:45am, my brother and sister started getting ready for their drive to the prison. At 5:30am, the two of the climbed in the truck and started on their way. And then they slid into the car that was parked next to the truck because there was so much ice on the driveway, and the 4-Wheel Drive wasn't on. They finally got out of the driveway, and were out of ...

I worked so hard today on getting everything ready for tomorrow. I swept and mopped the kitchen, washed the dishes, ran the vacuum, and a whole bunch of other things so Mom would think that I live in a clean house. Not that it will do any good, since she will end up cleaning it to her satisfaction when she gets the greetings out of the way. Mom is like that. Anyway, the point is that I did all of this stuff; and my brother couldn't find the time in his busy life to help out.

My brother and I were talking about how Mom is probably counting down the minutes until she gets to come home. I know I am counting down the hours. 29 hours!

Today was a super cold and snowy day. My brother started the day out by shoveling the snow off of the porch.
