You're all gonna love me once I get inked.

The NES controller shall live in infamy. On my arm. But without the infamy.

You know, since it's not a bad thing.

Problem is, if I get surgery for my shoulder, I can't get the tattoo for another six months. Health reasons and all of that. Bugger.

Zelda: Master Quest is really good, it just what peopl whoare tired of how easy Zelda is have been waiting for. All of the dungeons have been changed so that you normally have to take a competely different route through all the different rooms and locked doors, keys and switches are all in different places. So even though the rooms look the same, the puzzles have completely change and are some are really obscure. Another thing is that they have increased the number of enemies so that many fights are thrilling and make you fear death and now keeping a supply of fearies and potions is vital.

I'm planning on getting a tatoo as well, but it's a bit controversial so I'll leave it at that.
Quotes from South Park. Jimbo: "If we don't kill animals, they'll die!" from The Mexican Staring Frog of Sri Lanka. Mephisto: "The Father of Eric Cartman is, Mrs. Cartman" from Cartman's mum is still a dirty slut. Scientist Guy: "Global Warming will happen two days before, the day after tomorrow" from Two Days before the day after tomorrow. Kyle: “Kenny just died 8 hours ago from that monster, how could he have died back then too” Cartman: “Oh yeah I guess that doesn’t make sense” from City on the edge of Forever. Cartman: "Attention shoppers! Outside today, we have a cripple fight. Cripple fight, outside!" from Cripple Fight. Goth Kid: "To be a non-conformist, you have to dress in black, and listen to the same music we do" from Raisins. Priest: "Maybe if more of us attended church on sundays the lord wouldn't have felt it necessary to punish us by takething this little boy" Mr. Garrison: "Oh here comes the guilt trip again" from Spontaneous Combustion. Doctor: "That kid's got as much hope as Steve Irwin in a tank full of stingrays" from Stanley's cup.

Hello there. Just read a bit into your club and it sounds ace.
    Think I can join?
My fave FF will always be FF:VI(III), and I do tend to prefer the old to the new, especially after such FFs as FF:X-2 and FFXII...

As for evil, I'm a drunkard who fights solely for the thrill of fighting. I do it on whim and as I find it fun...
I act on impulse and while I can seem righteous at times, often it's just so I can appear to be claiming the higher moral ground.

And then, I have just started playing FFIV(II) again on the snes, and I have a renewed appreciation for it. Mainly due to seeing Dawezy's site and gaining a renewed appreciation for a game I didn't give enough time to those years before...

About the evil thing, don't take that too seriously. We aren't the BOD. You don't have to be a total poser and pretend you rape babies. Just come on in and relax. You have my vote, whatever that's worth

Gaming, gaming. Haven't had much time for it lately. I finally have finished my 6 essays due this term though, so other than studying for exams I should have a lot more time now for it. I've been playing a little Kotor here and there and some AOE3: Asian Dyansties, but nothing extreme. Good to see everyone's still alive. Although Dawezy and Zro are always on the respirator that is FFXI, but alive none the less.

    CP:
    Kotor
    AOE2: Asian Dynasties

    Until now!

It says "prefer the old to the new" you nub.

Get your eyes checked, old man.

I'mma lettin' yousa test the young whippersnapper simply because I'm leaving for work in a few minutes. Be gentle and toss in one or two S/NES questions as well. And something FFVI-related, as this IS still one-half Cult of Kefka, after all.

My browser's auto-spellcheck recognizes "whippersnapper" as a real word. Awesome.

I've been playing handhelds for the moment. Can't properly grip a controller, so it's easy to set the DS on the table and play touch-screen games.

FFXII: Revenant Wings and LOZ: Phantom Hourglass are my games of choice for the moment. The fact that FFXII:RW is a legitimate RTS-RPG makes me incredibly happy. It works out really well.

Im starting to get this horrible feeling that once they delete your acct, your out... however, i could never leave you darling boys alone, and honnestly Loco, scorp, dawez, zro, jin did you miss me? Before you all go get your boxes in a twist, i used to go by Juice, but heaven forbid, that name is now dead. So i thought i'd come harass you in a new name, with about 2 more years to my name. oh and life experience... and all that crap. Anyway, thats my bit, give me your good graces again to be in this here cult, (dawez i expect at least one vote from you on this one, and ZRo, you too!) And i'd be blessed.

Come now, why on Earth would anyone not vote to have you in, Juice, Zoe, Vixen, whichever. It's not even up for debate. Welcome back, we missed you. ^_^

Poor Celtic_silver though. Wasn't someone supposed to give him a test or some sort of initiation about a month ago? I guess that's what happens when a club is stocked full of procrastinators with bad memories.

Gaming. Ummm, not much lately. I've been playing random strategy games like Imperial Glory and Civ4 when I feel up to it, but not too much to report, really. I did manage to play through Valve's 'Portal' though. Anyone who hasn't played that yet really should, it's fantastic, especially considering it's a side game. There was cake!

    Yay for procrastination....wait, was I supposed to be doing something? <.<;

    As for questions... eh, I'm slacking on keeping my trivial knowledge up to date. ;;

    And I'm slacking on playing anything other than FFXI anyway. <.<;;

Happy new year and stuff? Sure.

Holy Buddha cakes! I've just come back from playing the original 1992 DOS Alone in the Dark! How's that for old skool? I'm so glad I kept that old Windows 95 133 Mhz former-beast. Bwahaha. I freaking loved/still love that game. Resident Evil can suck its zombie balls when compared to this game. the graphics make me laugh. I swear to god they look almost as good (bad) as FFVII graphics, but were made in 1992, before 3D graphic cards. Oh the memories.

Cheers to a new year of Cult, mates.

    cheers my fellow old schoolers!

WTF has been going on?!?! man I'm out of the loop. 40 hours week and school on the side isn't so fun but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

not much old schoolin as of late..the only thing I seem to play these days is online shooters like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and DoD: Source..though my friend who just recently purchased an xbox360 gave me his gamecube and games to play since I've never owned one. So Resident Evil 4/Eternal Darkness/Pikmin 2 has kept me busy on the side.

hopefully everyone is having an old school tastic new year!

I haven't thought about that game in ages.....

I need to play that. Is it in that "so old it's free" catagory yet?

Heeey there. As usual, it's been awhile. Oddly enough, I was old-schooling it not that long ago as I pulled out the original LoZ and subsequently owned. It's funny how we remember certain things. The dungeons were not lost on me. Apart from that, gaming just hasn't been a major part of life right now. Mind you, I get the urge every now and again to whip out either Chrono Trigger, FF6, or the likes of those. The obsessive compulsive in me craves an RPG...

Wow, we've had a good 4 posts since the new year. That's pretty sad guys. What's happened to you all?

Good to see you alive and about, Dau. I feel your pain on the lack of time thing. I've been playing FFVI and FFVIII lately, but when I do have free time, it's never for long enough to warrent playing an RPG. I hate playing them patchily. And I rarely have the energy anyways these days. I've been reading more than gaming lately. Oh god, education! Run!

Now I know you aren't all giving in to higher education, so no excuses. Get yer asses on and post at least once a month...or year.

Oh, right. Something to post. Um, Rogue Galaxy is pretty nice, it's very generous considering it's a dungeon crawler RPG. You can teleport between savepoints on the same world. Pretty nice if you run out of stock. And the savepoints replenish all your HP/SP. But yeah. Melty Blood is really nice, been playing it online. Saiyuki is one hell of an anime, too.

I'm sure I've been lurking long enough that people forgot I was a member of this particular club.

    CP:
Caesar III (Can't get past the first scenario with an earthquake)
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (Is this old school yet?)
Final Fantasy XII (Got the Zodiac Spear, hell yeah!)

I honestly can't stand the AI in Caesar III sometimes. People who live directly next to a market are starving to death. I can't please all the gods for shit. I can't produce enough pottery fast enough to keep those damned houses from devolving.

I am currently in the middle of my tradition of beating FFT at least once per year. Cid is still overpowered, and the Dark Knight job is insanely difficult to unlock.

FFXII is stuck in limbo until I can find my PS2 memory card. Whoops.

Rasler needs to play me in MTG, too.
Morningtide has come out, so there are new possibilities. Have to modify my elf deck.
Still have to test my Yubel theme deck that I transferred from Yugioh to MTG. xD

    Soooooo...

I know a post full of links probably isn't a very good one, so here are the links anyway, and then I actually have something relevant to add to it.

    FFIV DS OST
    Xenogears OST
    Digital Devil Saga 1/2 OST(s)
    Lost Odyssey OST

I'm a soundtrack nut. I have most of the OSTs, and the recent release of Lost Odyssey made me want to splurge again, so of course, one OST turned into two, which quickly turned into four...

Also, I'm FINALLY getting around to completing my FF collection and picking up a copy of FFVIII while I'm at it. Also, Chrono Cross for good measure. Having never had a PSX, I missed out on those two, and they're really hard to come by. I don't mind that they're Greatest Hits... and they're new, so I'm not complaining, either.

Oh hell, here's a screencap. Also note the stuff in my "saved items" section.

Don't forget to add $30 onto that for FedEx. Total? US$213.30

    So then, the relevant topic?

Videogame OSTs. Do you (legitimately) own any? If so, which?

edit: Oh shit, right, currently playing.

    DOUBLE POST FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!

Mostly because I want to make sure everyone sees my last post, and partially because this post has absolutely nothing to do with it. Forever and a day ago, a young lad named Nathan expressed interest in joining the OSCoK. Then I went AFK for a few months and Dawezy never tested out his game knowledge either.

That said, I'm just gonna let the young whippersnapper in.

You get a free pass because we're all old and lazy and senile. Welcome to the Cult. We reserve the right to kick you out if... well... umm... if you bash on old school stuff?

Yeah that's fine. I'd have to kick my own ass myself if I bashed the classics...
    Good to be a member.

On to videogame soundtracks, the ones I can see on my shelf are mostly fairly new as video game music is a more recent thing I've begun to collect. I have most Final Fantasy soundtracks as I've been a big collector and felt the desire to own all I could regardless of how they had to be imported, and I do have a lot of chip music I'd consider questionably legal due to me ripping them from my own games I plan on keeping with third party hardware and applications.

Apart from that, Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 2 original soundtrack, the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess soundtrack, Unreal Tournament soundtrack (via that last anthology), Baldur's Gate soundtrack, Baldur's Gate 2 soundtrack, Icewind Dale soundtrack, Blue Dragon (I know, I know, I liked the music. And I got it cheap) ><, Chocobo Racing OST, Chrono Trigger - The Brink of Time, Chrono Cross OST, Dragon Quest Symphonic Suite and Kingdom Hearts OST.

I also have several of those overclocked remix ones that are free to download. My favourites being the Chrono Trigger one, and the Final Fantasy VII one. I think there were some nice Sonic ones too, if I remember correctly.

I've been trying to see if any legit looking Final Fantasy VI soundtracks are floating around as it is my favourite, but so far they elude me. I do have most of the soundtracks though.

Currently Playing: For now, Ring of Fates and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, both of which I purchased today.
And the NES Classics LoZ on gba, which I've been playing for the last couple of days again. Once I play it a good deal, I'll be back to Tales of Phantasia to work on as complete a game as I can without a guide. So far I think I've clocked up 180 hours or so playing on and off.

    Loco ftw~

And yes, my long absence from posting on TFF and doing like erm.. anything, has a legit excuse behind it for a change! You see I just happen to move house again where-in my room now is quite sorted out and sexy, but, rest of the house is in shambles and still a HELL of alot of work to be had. Then on the side of that I have my work to attend to (you know, money, and stuff, keeps me alive and what have you.) aswell as my forever-growing hentai/pornography collection and FF11 addiction. As casual as my hours of work are I really get beat up from the nature of my position ~ I usually have a couple hour nap when I get home on most days :3

My hat off to the young lad tho, I probably had a heap of questions in the field of SEGAry to toss at you but I likely forgot no big though, welcome \^_^/ a little note I should add along side your joining our ranks. We dont always post *every single day* but we DO post when the topic arises/not feeling lazy/wantz to socialize, etc.

On ze topic that Loco has presented, I cannot contribute any legitamite title as 100.1% of the OST's I have were downloaded/written to CD. Fore I have no shame in my piracy work as I have no shame in my hentai addiction~

    In recent times my keyboard has been mashed by these titles;
    = FF6A/5A
= FF11 (There would be something wrong, if this wasnt listed surely)
= Oblivion (For our resident Jin <3)
= A hell of alot of SEGA Genesis ROMs
    = C&C The First Decade
.\= more specifically, C&C Tiberian Sun / Generals Zero Hour

Also, for shits and giggles I been getting into Robot Chicken lately.

    Enjoy!

There is no shame in enjoying hentai and beer; it makes the world go round and keeps the evil ones busy yet they bring the Apocalypse. I do have a few legit soundtracks but mostly I download them. What I do have is mostly anime and a few games.

I haven’t gotten anything new recently except for mass effect but that was a disappointment, for an RPG is was really short. Oh well I still have the mana series for the SNES and those are always fun to play.

Oh yeah, you know that FFIV-DS soundtrack I bought? It came in the other day and I just thought to take pictures. Dawezy, this is the badass shit you miss out on by not actually buying anything.

I've got nine, and since you can only have three pictures per post... rather than postwhore, I'll just make all of you click links. Screw off and quit being lazy, chaps.

GAAAAARRRRR I WANT IT! I WANT IT! I WANT IT!
And I'll be having to pay back a loan for a while...
It will be mine eventually though.
May I ask what treasures the DVD holds exactly?
I heard an interview, but I'm guessing there'd be more.

The DVD menu brings us to three options, none of which I can understand as I've only got (very) rudimentary understanding of Japanese; however, based on the content of each section, here's what I'm thinking:

    1. Introduction
-- This seems to be the intro to the game. It is GORGEOUS. I'm talking early-PS2 quality here, which is badass for a DS game. I assume this is the video that will play when you first start up the game. If, for any reason, it isn't... well, it must be some pre-launch video I never saw before. I'm assuming it's the opener. I'll check YouTube to confirm. *Yes, yes it is, and it's the full size rather than split between screens. DVD quality is, of course, MUCH higher than YouTube rip quality. Kain is still a badass.

    2. Preview Content
-- As best I can tell, it's got the text from the second picture in my previous post (spoken, of course, I can only assume). There are video clips from pre-launch and voiceovers from the characters telling parts of the story. Some of the various in-game cutscenes and such. I wish I knew more Japanese so I could give you a better idea of what's going on. I can sort of tell what most of the scenes are, but it's been a while since I did a full playthrough of the game. In-game graphics are similar to those of FFIII-DS; somewhat N64/PSX quality. Not too shabby.

    3. Developer Interviews!
    -- Sweet. Shame I can't understand it. I bet there's a translation online somewhere.

The only game soundtrack I own is that one that comes with Final Fantasy Anthology and I haven't listened to it more than once. Oh well.

Anyways, I've been playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 lately. I freaking love that game. I was orginially playing the 4th installment of the series for SNES, but strategy games like that take long enough without the lack of flow that comes from old skool gaming, so that's the one genre I prefer to be modestly updated. Dong Zhou is a twat. I'm also looking quite diligently for a Wii, so hopefully I'll be able to land one soon. Good to see you back, Grimm. Stick around, El Hentai Officionato.

Forgive the double post, but you guys should probably stop wanking it long enough to post at least once a month.

So, as for me, I got myself a Wii and I couldn't be happier with it. I don't really even care about the Wii games, save a few titles, but the Virtual Console makes me wet. So I'm old schooling it more than usual now.

    My VC downloads:
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SNES)
    Super Mario Bros. (NES)
    Star Fox 64 (N64)
    Phantasy Star II (SEGA)
    Super Mario World (SNES)
    Shining in the Darkness (SEGA)
Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
    Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
    Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
    Sonic 2 (SEGA)
    Shining Force (SEGA)
    Shinobi III (SEGA)
    Donky Kong Country (SNES)
    Breath of Fire II (SNES)
    F-Zero (SNES)
    Harvest Moon (SNES)
    Bomberman 93 (Turbo Grafx)
    Phantasy Star III (SEGA)
    Castlevania (NES)
Street Fighter II: Turbo Hyper Fighter (SNES)

Okay, so in retrospect, I didn't really need the bracketed consoles as everyone should know these, but oh well. To reiterate: there's nothing more enjoyable than playing with my wii.

    Post!

    Until now!

I just hit the jackpot. On my day off I went shopping and wound up at Best Buy right as they were clearencing a bunch of their games. I grabbed quit a few and they were all $9.99 and under.

    360:
    Viva Pinata
    Shadowrun
    Prey
    Lost Planet
    Dead or Alive extreme 2
    Raving Rabids

    PS3:
    Dark Kingdom
    Gengji

All those games for under $50. So I have plenty to do for a while plus finishing my other games that I had started. Other than those I had also picked up Appleseed for Blu-ray Im still eagerly awaiting for more anime to be released on blu-ray.

    CP:
    Lost Planet
    Eternal Sonata
