I want to play a game.

Yeah, we've both enjoyed them for a while, but not really collected much. I just recently got into that and I have quite a few consecutive Mighty Thor and others from comic shops in the area. She has a more eclectic taste though I think when it comes to comics. Most people pick one of the Marvel or DC mainstays as their favorite, but she likes some Third Party comics like Shi and Vampirella and their crossovers. She loves a good marvel or DC movie, but those are mainly the one's she collects. Who's your favorite as far as superheroes go?

As to the Laserquest, it's been a casual hobby for a while, but my brothers (23 and 15) started playing more often and got memberships while I was at college this last semester. They started bringing me along again and I bought the membership as well. We do the Ironman missions pretty much every weekend, with my younger brother pretty much always winning by a large margin. He's pretty intense about it, almost too much sometimes, but it is really fun.

I saw Thor at midnight release just because it's the comics I've always been into. Kinda that mythology comic tie-in that brings two of my big interests together. Anyway I thought that one was pretty good, but I can't wait for Avengers. I haven't gotten the chance for either of the other 2 yet, but I'll have an opinion after this week. My gf's coming down from Leesburg up in NOVA for my birthday and we have four movie passes so we'll probably see both of them together.

Can you tell me what exactly Rampart Aura is supposed to be doing? It says it "halts enemy movement". I assumed it meant it would work like a trap -- forcing units to engage with my Knight, by not being able to move away. But it doesn't do that at all, and I'm starting to think that it doesn't do anything.

Why not just look up Gamefaqs? Aside from pretty pictures, actually purchasing a guide seems pretty redundant. I just look up one online to check the consequences of my decisions.

Good point about the archers I suppose; but if a battle become difficult because of the incompatibility between the terrain and my units, it's not really a failure of my strategic ability (well, not entirely, as you say -- balance is key).

That's also true; I've made sure to do some optional battles this time. In my last game I wasn't, and literally had to use 5 of those phoenix-down equivalent items every battle. Which basically meant I was running most battles at low or even negative profit.

What strategy guide are you using?

A big qualm I have is that you can't see the map or the enemies when placing units. It's irritating when I put in some archers only to be put at the bottom of a cliff.

Oh, and another thing I need clarifying; what happens when a unit loses all three lives? I gather that you can sort of harvest their skills... so couldn't you just hire a new unit, and give your skills to them? I'd imagine it would suck for unique characters... but otherwise is there no penalty?

I started a new game the other day. I've just reached chapter two (doing Law first). So, how exactly does the World System work? I can go back and take a different route, with my characters as they are currently (i.e. their skills and levels don't regress)?

What of doing the same route again, like if you accidentally kill someone the first time around (for example, Arcyelle)? I've made sure to do better this time around. I saved Cistina (then told her I seek peace throughout Valeria), and managed to debuff [man I'm terrible with names] and put her to sleep. Although the latter wasn't aided by Catuia; I should have never taught her Spirtsurge. I ended up having to KO my own sister, right after burning a town full of old people

And that you can buy a lot of the base ingredients? I've crafted heaps already; and the only thing stopping me from doing more is the occasional shortage of one item, and avaialble funds vis-à-vis buying entirely new weapons, as well as lack of motivation, because it's so repetitive, and is just an iterative process of turning money into upgraded weapons (when you should just be able to fork over cash...).

But still, I think this game is awesome. Better than Tactics, even.

You know that most of the ingredients themselves require crafting, right? It's kind of irritating to be honest, buying the simple ingredients just so you can make a higher-tier ingredient -- why can't they just offer the higher-tier ingredient for sale?

The issue of failing is also irritating. I'm sure everyone with half a brain would work out they can just save and try again -- so why have a fail rate at all? It's just time-consuming, especially given the game is already time-consuming by its very nature.

Yeah, I tried a few debuffs, but I don't think I used sleep. Seems pretty simple actually haha. There was some other level, rescuing a dragoon I think? I tried a lot, taking the flying guy, not giving him any equipment unless it made him faster, and even using a slinger (...or whatever it is; the 'weapon' that lets you fling items at range), but they just overpowered her.

You didn't answer my question about weapon-upgrading and recipes

I struggled in that battle with Ravness, and ended up killing her out of frustration. Turns out that has meant I have lost the opportunity to recruit her later on. I think I may start a new game once I get gaming time back.

I'll be trying out ninja as soon as possible, though the idea of having to purchase items in order to use their special abilities is rather annoying.

I'm a big fan of the weapon upgrading system. Have you been using the recipes much? I find that the bows get pretty powerful really fast, and their special effects are useful. I use two archers (well, one archer, and that winged guy (forgot his name), with a one-handed bow and an axe) for that reason.

Well , I believe that there are twons and villages in my country that I never heard of so I don't blame you .But I did read something about this twon and it was like cursed or something that it became hard to live in . I don't believe in a curse but I do believe in the existence of invisible folks (jinn) which probably are haunting that place .Things like these happen specially when the place is abandoned long ago.
