Well, I was only in ad sales for a month. By the end of it, I was comfortable with my voice, but I didn't like asking people to give me their money. I still get nervous when I get a call, a little. Only when it is a number I don't know. I had to tell my friends and coworkers to give me there numbers. I don't answer if I don't know the number.

But it does get easier.

As for the whole sink or swim. I say just float. A boat will come to help eventually. Unless you are in the Ohio River, and then you are on your own. People have mutated after swimming in that, or so I've heard.
