I wouldn't say it's hard, but the game can throw you an unexpected curveball of death. It really comes down to the tactic setup and how much attention you're paying to each battle. For example, if i'm not paying attention when my healer runs low on mana it usually ends in a characters death, quickly, sometimes i can salvage it but sometimes the others are just a short bit behind. Character spread is also pretty important as it leaves you open to DoA attacks which can be very painful. It's not that I can't do the stratergy it's just that I don't like micro-managing very much and that's the only way to fully utilise your party... especially mages.

Also the difficulty ramps quite sharply as you level and I doubt my character builds effectiveness, I have really bad crowd control. Mostly though it's not a problem

in possibly the most boring way, I played games with my little brother till about 10 to then we both filled into the front room to wait for the countdown. We didn't cheer, and after the fireworks were over I went upstairs to the computer. It's the first new years eve where we haven't had a party and it felt kinda hollow to be honest, but meh it's just another day at the end of the road.

Have you had any snow at your end? we had enough to close the school over here which was pretty sweet, if we're lucky it'll be closed tomorrow but i'm not holding any hopes. If the council gets organised and grits the roads then we'll probably have to go in, our school has a really large draw area so if the roads are too icy for the bus companies we have to close.

Also completing Dragon age is not an easy feat. Even assuming that you're only going to do one play through and you aren't going to read any of the codex or explore dialouge trees it's still going to take a long time. I'm about thirty hours in and i've only completed one major quest (admittidly i'm the part way through two others) and that's not even including the time i spent reloading after dying a cruel and grisaly death.
