For some reason I thought you'd appreciate this. There's a little bit of comedy gold in everything.

That is quite interesting bits of information. The First Confessor is more his standard size of 700 pages or so long.

There is an ebook he self released a few months back that dwals with the ancient past of the Sword of Truth series - The First Confessor: the Legend of Magda Searus. I am a bit upset that it is only available through an ereader as I lack one in my possession. It was going to be published by Tor but he decided to self publish. He had like 4 books under contract that need to be written - 2 w/ Tor & 2 w/ Putnam.

Speaking of series endings I finished the last book in the Wheel of Time - A Memory of Light. Pretty good ending though it left me w/ a few questions I felt needing answered, only one was a "major" question. I think if I re-read the entire seies I may find my answer.

I did like how he was able to create a villian after the main series using his grandfather Panis' actions in unifying D'hara as very reasonable. It didn't feel like he was grabbing. We'll see if he decides to continue on as time passes.

I read your post in the "longest book you've read". I liked the Sword of Truth series very much. I liked how he ended the series; a nice twist of creating two earths. Did you by chance read The Law of Nines? It has some references to the SoT series.

Omen Machine felt a bit short - the font size mafe the book longer than it actually was. I think he may have left it alone & continued with what he was going with the Law of Nines.

Totally understand as I just lost it as I was writing that, so I thought I should set the record straight. I have no problem with what you put, honestly.

There's nothing wrong with having the opinion you do, but until you have been in that position, until you wake up at 3 in the afternoon and wonder why you bothered, or until you sit there, day in, day out feeling pointless and useless, I don't think it's possible to pass judgement. I think that's fair. I'm probably being very ignorant in my post to be honest, haha. But there's absolutely zero sensitivity shown, just vitriol. I'm not easy to shake but having been through what I have in terms of the thought processing involved, I was close to tears reading some of that thread. Shouldn't bother me as much as it did but.. Hey ho.

That's right. I look forward to each and every VM whenever I log on. I find myself logging in so many times on one day and I just reply to whatever I find. Easy enough.

Well I'm working tonight since I don't have a lot planned. On the plus side, I know that we're one week away from my birthday

She had to stay out of touch because the people she lived with were gonna lose the house, the laptop wasn't hers, and the guy she was gonna move in with didn't have one. So it wasn't until two weeks after she left that she started using her friend's phone but I was mad because she didn't try to contact me at all. That's when I called it off. We both hurt each other, cried, etc. I was paranoid as well because it turned out the guy she moved in with was a close friend, but it wasn't until about a month after the breakup (March) that she started dating him. They're still together, btw. We continued to talk, though, and she's been there for me many times when I needed someone to talk to (you know, being a wreck and all, even though I basically did it to myself). When I saw how loyal she was to me, that's when I brushed off the idea that she was cheating on me. Trust issues is what did me in. I don't like it when someone I'm dating is alone with a guy, but that also shows that I'm not perfect. It's something I'm trying to get over, but I guess I never did like to share.
