I also had the idea of watching French movies with English subtitles, but I wasn't sure about that. I even found a channel on TV, but... ah, well, the movies weren't interesting enough. ^^" I think these were some dramas lacking much story. ^^"
My parents got many DVDs but I don't know if there are any that have a French dubbed version... I remember searching for movies I could watch when I was still learning French and I hadn't found much. :/

Oooh~ I like you, no, I love you! T_T Finally someone who appreciates the same things in books as I do. I write novels, mostly fantasy. But I'm always eager to put something into my books that makes you think. Some change of the behavior of the protagonist for example. They always change and think and act differently at the end of the book. I'm not sure if anyone recognizes this, but I think it's quite important. But somehow most of the fantasy novels I read don't contain such elements. XD"
Sometimes I even think that reading a book is a waste of time if it hasn't at least one aspect to think about. xD"

When I was at work today I realized again that my French has somehow... gone away. I learned it quite a while ago but I feel as if I don't remember anything. :/ Then I remembered that you were from Belgium and I thought: "Don't they speak French there?" - I looked in the language thread and there you wrote that you speak French fluently. ^^~ So do you have any tips on how I can improve my French? I tried reading an old school book again (which I got from the school because they didn't need it anymore), but the texts were far too (!) easy. -_- So I decided to read a book in French and... haha, I sucked .,. It was far too difficult. I didn't have enough time and I lacked the motivation to find a way to re-learn it. But I'd really like to. :/

By the way... I really like you from all I've read about you. I appreciate that you're one of the few people who are interested in books. So what genre do you like best? =)

You weren't stating an opinion in that post, so no, it was a bad post in my definition. If I gave bad rep based on opinion, then I would've given bad rep to effectively everyone who posted after me, but I didn't. A good post would be something that established a good discussion about something a little more worthwhile. Though I don't care that you made that thread, I reserve the right to 'not thank' (if that makes any sense ).

Hey I only gave you a 'no thanks' because I thought the thread was inappropriate. I then had to spend the next couple of days trying to validate that stance, to whatever extent I succeeded, I don't really know. The whole thing blew out of proportion really haha.

Mm, I understand. I felt very depressed for a couple of years when I was younger. My dad used to drink all the time and there was a bunch of shit that came with that so I think I understand a little. I hope things get better for you nonetheless.

I would probably put the whole not passing exams thing down to stress. If your dad isn't very supportive and threatens you, then I guess it's just bringing you down rather than giving you the motivation you need to pass. Is there no way to reason with him or explain that his behavior is counter-productive? Maybe that's just a too clinical approach to it, though.

I AM alive! Just. Actually, I suffer with really bad headaches so sometimes I wish I could use the OFF switch for a while.

Thanks! My partner came to visit and threw me a party which was ace. I got a couple of games, some craft stuff and my sister and her boyfriend got me a new mobile phone (really appreciated since my old one was 8 years old!)

Perhaps the older members didn't have 200 posts, either. I mean, there are tons of people who have been here for years and never really post. That would be the only sensible reason I can think of.
