how do use user notes

I fixed the FFIV thing, since the spam area is the only place for spam, it doesn't really count (Lots of forums do it), and when making a hack, you use an IPS file, and then patch it to a rom, and either way it's just for showcasing your rom hack.

Oh yeah, I have actually heard that song before way back in the day. Somebody posted a link to it on the Frenzyboard. They actually sound better than I remembered them sounding, although maybe the lyrics are a little wonky. Cool stuff, thankee.

I know you wanted to put the thread back on track, and I thank you for stepping in. You're right about getting defensive is a natural thing. I don't think anyone was really expecting che to make a post like that that just seemed to slate Leon's thread. I saw he'd made a thread and thought "That's my Leon =')", I read the OP, then I was reading che's post and was like "Teh **** has this got to do with the topic?"

I've spoken to Leon to make sure he hits the report button on posts and what have you if he feels he's been treated unfairly or trolled or whatever. However, with this instance, it appears that che has done nothing wrong and has just made a post that has made him look assy. Report button won't do much, will it? I mean, if everyone got a warning every time they were being assy, we'd have a lot of banned members.

I also know you didn't tell Leon to "suck it up". I was trying to make a reference joke that didn't go too well. ^^;; <3

One more thing. Meier, you did nothing wrong. You just wanted to stop us from going off-topic, and to me that's fine.

Yeah, that thread had to do with my departure. I just wanted to say something before I really leave. I sucked it up, didn't I? All I wanted was everyone's opinions, not a debate. I understand when there's people with different opinions than me, and personally I don't mind meeting people like that. In my eyes, che was just being an a**hole.

Which is why it's a rare case that I register anywhere anymore. I've met people behaving like a**holes all over the web. For instance, there was someone long ago who criticized my writing. Actually, he just called it gay and so on and so forth. I know I should be used to comments like "You gotta work on your writing some more", but that guy just went too far (It was long ago, I was 16 so of course I left).

In another forum, I wanted to try out for RPing. But I had to create a character to get approved, so I did. However, I waited for a long time and guess what? Everyone else got approved instead of me, even a new guy who used my character's name! When I complained, I received negative responses. I left, and they called me a crybaby as I did.

I can suck it up. Receiving heavy criticism is one thing, but getting so close to the line without actually crossing it is another. Judging che's first post in my thread, he had no business to be there in the first place. He didn't even say anything until I spoke up. I admit I could have done a little better with my response. But I also could have pointed out, aggressively, that he had no business there. There were a million things I could have said.

If you guys don't want me to leave, that's fine. Just don't expect me to post in ID anymore.

I think Leon's thread was perfectly fine, considering other topics that pop up here and there that mean absolutely nothing.

"Do you think people who don't believe in Christ -- under any circumstance -- will end up in Hell when they die?" That was pretty much the question, which I'm sure would start a debate as there's loads of different opinions on the matter. I think Leon intended it as a think-tank type thing. che missed that, which wasn't exactly his fault, but there was no need for such a response.

I also think Leon probably needed to learn that you won't always get "nice" opinions, but that's no reason to give "horrible" opinions, especially if members here want to keep newer members and increase activity... which Leon wanted to do. Oh, the irony. WE FINALLY GET A MEMBER WHO WANTS TO STAY, AND WE CHASE THEM OUT BECAUSE OPINIONS AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH?! WHAT IS THIS, I DON'T EVEN.

I could have told Leon to "suck it up", but ya' know. I kinda wanted him to stay around a little longer... my adoptee and all. =/
