So a parallel universe is a universe that exists at the same time "next to" our world as we know it. To put it bluntly.

A parallel universe is what they also call an alternative universe/world.

A world in which some things in the past went differently, resulting in a different present. The word parallel is mostly used when talking about those hypothetical things existing next to our world.

In theory, there is an infinite amount of alternative universes. If you know what I mean. Every moment there are an infinite amount of possible things that could happen. And for every possibility, there is a world in which that one possibility occurs. etc. etc.

People like to use it in jokes too:
-"Can I help?"
-"Haha. In what alternative universe does it look like I need your help, huh?"

It's annoying that he quotes sentences and comments, rather than whole paragraphs. It puts them out of context, and takes longer to respond, but meh.

btw Grandia II is one of my favorite games that made it to the Dreamcast way back in the day! Glad to see you rep it! Ryudo was a bamf, but I'm more of a Roan fan myself, especially when he's all grown up and stuff, haha.

I take one paper on it, so I don't 'study' it in the conventional sense. I do, however, take an avid interest in it, and dislike fundamentalism in all it's forms. I also went through 13 years of religious education at Catholic schools. This taught me more to think for myself than what the Church teaches (though it did both).
