Plugins are exta effects. I.E. Rendering Fire, Water Reflection Ect. ect. You can get them at the PDN forums.
To access this, click the "Help" tab, and click Plugins, you'll be taken to the PDN Plugin portion of the form.

Ever used the Gradient tool? Select it, and look at the tabs with the different black and white fades, and find a color wheel. Click that, and it shoud go into grey/white checkerboard (PDNs texture for transparency) and simply Gradient. I can teach you the basics, but the rest of the people at PDN forums can help you with advanced stuff. I can help you for as long as you want though! Why? I dunno.

PDN? I'll try to help you, but you may want to bear with me, I have, like, a TRILLION plugins installed LOL! What do you want to know?
Transparencies? What type? Blending? Fading? I know everything in PDN!
