I would've liked to see the person's face instead of her stomache, but that is a small issue. As I thought about it (only a minute), there might be a sense of imbalance in the avatar since you might have to cut off parts of the picture in order to get the girl's face as well as the body. I like the colors and it's overall intensity. Attire is interesting; the designs on her torso draw my attention the most. That would be the focal point of the avatar, yes? The blood splotch brush you used adds more to the gothic (?) theme.
