    Youre worst teen slasher experience

Okay as a true horror movie expert and lover I can defiantely say that all hope of decent horror movies has been reduced by the pointless teen slasher. My topic of this was just recently sparked while I was watching the horrible Prom Night. The movie is considered a remake but is quite different so I would just say that it shares the same night. All teen slashers are the same in one way or another. However they used to be original back in like the 80s and now everyone is trying to remake those movies making them completely blind to the fact that they have an expectation to live up to with their original. So Hollywood stop trying to make money and get stupid a** teenagers to enjoy youre s***** pop up scares. So back to the point I would say that my least favorite would be the awful Prom Night.

I watched 'Valentine', and it was terrible. The kills were pretty fake, the acting was well off, and the ending completely contradicted the plot. For me, this was in the top 5 worst films I have ever seen.

Honestly "Prom Night" wasn't that bad for being competely horrible IMO. There have been many that have by far exceeded the crapiness (is that even a word) of that little gem. Take for example "Incubus", that little gem should not of even made it to a DVD release let alone wasting the paper. "Jeepers Creepers" another highly disappointing semislasher film, I saw this one in theaters when it was released. I walked back out of the theater and demanded a refund which I quickly received.

Oh and lets not forget the unforgetable "Cabin Fever", given there was no real killer in this film, the teens themselves are the ones to tare each other up. But other then a few scenes this POS absolutely bored the hell out of me. Again received a refund from the theater thinking WTF.

Now onto continuances and remakes. "Jason VS Freddy" was horrible. The "I know what you did last summers" series was retarted. Don't even get me started on "Jason X"!

Now onto the topic of originality, I think hollywood has seriously ran out of ideas, given there is limited amounts of things you can do with one man and a knife. But even this doesn't hold true with movies like "Saw", "The Strangers" and a few others. Over all though with a limited diversity in thought and teens always wanting a cheap scare you will still be getting crap movies like "prom night" and "April Fools Day" remake.

Oh to respond to the question at hand all of those listed above and more.

All teen slasher are horrible they are not scary i laugh at every single one.
The last one i watched was the third installment of Nightmare on elm street the original and the originals are better than the new ones.
They should not be classed as horror but as comedy, i watched Freddy vs Jason and all i could do was laugh, there was a bit where someones arm was cut in the movie and it was only nicked and instead of the blood just oozing out it bloody starts gushing as if the arm was chopped off and it was only a bloody flesh wound it was so stupid.

Now if you want horror movies you cant beat the good old Japanese horror such as The Grudge and the Ring although the Ring would have to be one of my favorite movies it didn't really scare me. I was upset because there was all this talk about the ring being really scary and i watched and i found myself enthralled i absolutely loved the story line and could see what people where talking about it wasn't scary at all anyway that's just my opinion The Grudge on the other hand was really freaky and i couldn't sleep soundly for weeks after i watched it lmao.
So i say death to teen slashers lol. They are a waste of time and money unless you watch them for a good laugh.

That is where you and I differ in opinions, my friend. I thoroughly enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason. I find that people who look it as a horror film hate it, but if you look at it more as an action film, you'll like it a lot more. There are some terrible horror scenes with the "Necessary to have in plot victims", but any scenes with with Freddy and Jason together were well done and had a lot of good chemistry to them. But that's just me, I might have a bit of a bias for Jason.

Another one of my personal favorites. A movie so bad, and so stupid, that I squee like a little girl whenever I see it.

Worst slasher experiences? Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Scream 3, Prom Night (2008 remake), When a Stranger Calls (remake), hell, there's not too many of them. Chances are, if there's some humor involved, and it doesn't take itself too seriously, I can enjoy any slasher flick.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."

Well put Polk I too tend to enjoy slashers that are so bad their funny. And I also disagree I think that Freddy vs. Jason was actually pretty good all things considered and what Polk was saying about the chemistry between Freddy and Jason is very true.I havnt got a chance to see Jason X yet but I intend too in the near future.

I too thought Freddy v Jasan was a great film. A valuable addition to both series, but Jason X was awful. For me, it had the least likeable characters ever in any film I have ever seen.

    Spoiler:
When Jason was blown to pieces and then rebuilt as "Uber" Jason made me think "What the **** has this series turned into".

Jason Goes To Hell, however, was even worse. I mean, what was with this film? It was a stupid film with no real plot, and not much of Jason.

OK so far you have not been able to disproove me that "Jason VS Freddy" was a horrible slasher, if anything you have added fuel to the fire by stating that it is action film with a few grizzly death scenes. This pulls away from everything that the film was origionally ment to be.

Also just because I said they where horrible doesn't mean that I don't find enjoyment in them. I laugh my ass off at "Jason X" but that is still not enough to say that it is not a shit movie.

I am / was not upset. I was just stating that the film should of been a slasher, it started like one and took a corney turn to the worst by making it an Action film, hince why I put it up on the list.

I wated for this film for well over 13 years and it turned out to be a disappointment, sad because it started out epic, the pin ball sounds in the real world battle was just the last straw.

It will take alot more then that to get me upset haha.
