don't really now where to begin discussion,so i thought what the hell,why don't i start one

.

I'm a huuuuuuuge MGS fan and i would just love to see a movie based on MGS.
So does anyone have a suggestion who you would like to see play the role of big boss or his son Solid?.
Or you can pick another person from MGS to choose a actor for.

if i had to choose an actor for big boss i would choose .....Clint Eastwood

And for his son Snake i would choose..uuhhmmmm Hugh Jackman

Please,choose anyone you like,including passed away actors or old actors.

Robin Williams, Tom Cruise, and Annette Bening. I don't even know who Annette Bening is, but I have no doubt in my mind that she will be what makes any movie based on MGS.

I don't even want a Metal Gear Solid movie. Most if not all Game to Movies sucked ass.

By the way, Natsog wills this movie to not exist. So therefore, it shall not.

can't remember if it was the actual film of the game but there was a flim made called escape from new york... the main characters name was snake pliskin and the character design was that of naked snake from mgs3... after he got the patch on his eye

i also think that mgs as a film would suck ass if done by anyone other than kojima, but as hes out of commision for the games i doubt he'd be in for a movie... ah well the series can live on through the games... thers no movie that can even come close to the games... even the old NES games of metal gear rape a movie

(there are more games than just FF alone..) it's a great action and sneaking game with a fantastic storyline. Snake is One of the most coolest guys around

I figured that out the first time I played MGS cause I have Escape From New York somewhere. And its not a coinsidence, it is what inspired the creation of Snake.

Anyone who ever visited the Gamefaqs Pro Wrestling Board KNOWS, Chris Benoit must play Snake.
But as he's too busy I'd recommend Hugh Jackman, sure everyone and Kojima himself recommends him but he is a good choice. Or Maybe if the toned up to Gladiator status Russel crowe. He had the beard.
If he was much Younger Al Pacino, that guy can play ANY role.

when was escape from new york released then? was it the character designs for mgs3 or mgs2 that were based on the film character? and i take it that would explain the use of pliskin in either the game or the movie. Just a wild guess, Snake pliskin was created before mgs2 because naming him snake pliskin and not iriquois pliskin seems kinda lame... or am i wrong and i'm the one being lame? lol

escape from NY was released i think (must be somewhere deep inside the brain) was in '81 and the seqeul was in '94 but i could be wrong.
Both were before metal gear solid 1. And i'm glad kojima stole the character of snake plissken(from the movies) caz i couldn't think of someone tougher than him

Ow and the movie is really good the special effect don't look good not even in the sequel, but that doesn't make it a bad movie.

yeah that makes a bit more sense... cos metal gear 1 on NEs was released '87 (i think lol) so yeah thats cool. Did kojima remember the film when he made MGS2 then cos the character design is sooo similiar... did he ask shinkawa to borrow that charater setup? or is this the kinda stuff better left for the mgs forums lol

it was a great choice tho... kurt russel is god as snake in those films just for his look and that character design really fits for snake

I think MGS would be great as a Woody Allen style comedy. Either that or Benny Hill style. It would be hilarious for Solid to be chasing around Ocelot to the sounds of "Yakkity Sax" in the background.

I would say David Hater, the guy who does Snakes voice could be fine if he worked out and grew his hair out seeing as he looks similar enough.

Though in the end they'll get Rob Schneider for him and Beyonce to play Meryl. Hmmm you could get Sam Jackson as Roy Cambell, and Queen Latifa for Sniper Wolf....it's gonna be a hit I tell ya!

Hugh Jackman is a good pick for Snake, and Russell is an obvious good pick as well. But I think I'd like to see Christian Bale play the role of Solid Snake. He's an amazing actor, has incredible chops, is gigantic and dedicated to roles, and I think this might be something up his alley.

Would I be the only person who thinks Tom Hardy would be a good choice to play Snake? Apart from that maybe Patrick Wilson as Otacon, would love to see Gary Oldman as Liquid, Micheal Biehn as Ocelot and maybe Steve Buscemi as one of the more eccentric characters like Vamp. And who would be cast as Raiden depends on if its the sh*tty Raiden from MGS 2 or the souped-up Raiden of MGS 4.
