    Where the Wild Things Are

    Mmmmwatch.
YouTube - Where the Wild Things Are - Official Trailer

    I'M EXCITED.

And curious. I loved the book when I was a kid, but I want to see how they make this into a 1-2 hour film.

The preview already makes me squeal with joy. I imagine the movie will make me cry in the way that Up did. Not for sad reasons, but more for like... adorable reasons. If you want to see someone get emotionally involved with movies, I'm your girl.

Are you guys as curious as I am? Did you read the book when you were a kid?

What's up with all the good movies, haha. This one looks stunning. A little naive, but that's what you should expect from a movie like this. I actually got goosebumps watching the trailer. And they used Wake Up by Arcade Fire. I just listened to that song like 2 hours ago.

Good trailer, hope the movie's as great.

EDIT: I don't know the book so I've never read it, to answer your question.

Well if you have ever read the book Rags you would have goosebumps on your goosebumps, i absolutely loved the book as a kid it was one of my favourite books it would be the one that opened my imagination and i started to love monsters and the Fantasy books. The trailer looks amazing it looks exciting and sad i can't wait to see it, plus it has Forest Whitaker in it just that alone entices me and directed by tom Hanks what more could you want.

Wow, they did the monsters really well. It just goes to show puppets and costumes can still work as well as CGI (Although I did see some CGI in there). Although, in some scenes the monsters looked really...evil...and what was with that crying monster???

P.S.: That monster jumping into the air throwing a ball was pretty epic.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure if they can adapt a rather short children's novel into a full length feature film without it getting boring.

I'm pretty excited, though. The CGI looks beautiful, the film looks stylized, and I don't think I need to mention it's being directed by Spike ****ing Jonze. Being John Malkovich. That's all I need to say. I think if anyone could do a good adaptation, it'd be either him or David Fincher.

Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."

*DROOOOOOOOOLS* This book IS my whole childhood encapsulated into one storybook! I can't believe this is becoming a film!

I just hope with all my heart that it doesn't shatter my pristine childhood memories with all the additions that will be necessary to stretch it out, so I'm putting a lot of faith in the director... he literally holds my childhood in his hands.

Those puppets... just like the pictures! I LOVE this!

EDIT: That pajama monster outfit is so awesome! I want one NOWW

If anyone can do it, Spike Jonze can. It will be interesting to see if they keep the original ending to the book, considering how much of the storyline is going to be built from scratch. This just looks so epic, with explosions and people throwing projectiles in mid-air.

The monsters remind me somewhat of Jim Henson's creations. I think they look wonderful, and I'm so glad this movie isn't choked with CGI. I've heard about this movie a while back, but this is the first I've seen of the trailer.

The pajamas are adorable. Looks just like in the book, too.

Well, I guess I know what I'll be doing on October 16th.
