    LAW AND ORDER!

I've watched CSI before, though, and enjoyed it well enough. But I am a Law and Order girl all the way (the original series, not so much CI or SVU). And I enjoy The Closer.

Yeah.... I've been known to watch my share of crime shows. I think CSI is to crime shows like House is to medical shows. What they're dealing with is always really unusual and unlikely and then they solve the mystery.
    Curious?

    CSI Miami, baby.

Seriously, I like the quality of the plotlines and how most stories are realistic enough, but the Miami version is really the best one in my opinion.

    Nothing more to it.

Sorry to be such a downer but all that csi is crap, i know someone who's isn't actually a csi but he works with all that stuff if you know what i mean and he just laughs at their methods they use it is so dramatized so to speak, one thing in particular is they way they get there fingerprints that make it look so easy and take a finger print off every surface which isn't true fingerprints are harder to acquire than you think well than what they perceive.

Don't get me wrong a did use to like CSI the original and very first, i never liked Miami or NY i stuck to Nevada until they started to get to over dramatic and then the took bug man out pfft thats how long its been since i have watched it i cant remember his name.

My wife on the other loves Law and Order, Criminal Minds, Cold CAse etc i just watch them for the chicks woot woot.

Criminal Minds is alright. Same goes for Cold Case. But I really like Bones. Great acting, and the personalities involved are really interesting.

I think that even before the internet warped my mind beyond repair, I'm pretty sure that watching Law & Order: Special Victims Unit when I was like 7 years old did the trick. But yeah, L&O has a special place in my childhood memories. I don't really care for CSI but I could see how the series could have the same effect of the generation after mine.

Back in high school, one of the trimesters for my second year chemistry class was fully dedicated to having a forensic science class. We had to make up fake names that we were not allowed to share to others, everyone in our class had our fingerprints on file, my teacher involved us on random pieces of evidence (some was used and other were just fake evidence that never made it into the report, just to keep us on our toes), and out of everything that was made, somehow my teacher had a gigantic storyline that somehow used everyone in our class in some kind of crazy CSI story, and we had one class period to write a report stating the names/alias of everyone, the evidence of them being who they were, what they were involved with, and a brief overview of the story for our final. It was probably a combination of the most fun and the most work I have ever done in a high school class, and something I'll definitely remember to this day.

The original CSA is complete crap. It's been on the air far too long, and therefore, they've done every storyline that they can possibly do, hence making every new episode seem like the same old crap. CSA New York and Miami are alright, though, but I'm not too fond of them, purely because they're part of the CSI franchise. Most of these crime dramas are boring as hell. I can't stand any of the Law and Orders. They're so boring that they cure my insomnia. Same goes for Cold Case and Criminal Minds. I'm particularly fond a new crime drama, though; Lie To Me. It's different from the other ones, and that's what I like about it. It's not the same old crap all over again.

I really hate all of those types of shows. CSI is boring pap in my opinion, as are most others (NCIS/Bones/Criminal Minds/Cold Case.)

My dad loves all of those types of shows but I can't see how he can sit there and watch them. That said, I literally have no interest in forensics at all so there's most of my reasoning for you. I think Lie To Me is pretty clever, though; it's more interesting than boggling my mind with pointless crap about "OMG. WOT. JUGULARRR". And although it's more of a joke series, I've developed a love for Monk. I just can't help the latter one.

Yup. Great acting. But what would you expect from Tim Roth, right?

That show and House are the best American tv shows at the moment.

I love the original CSI. It´s just awesome, 10 times better than CSI Miami and New York.
But my most favorite crime show is the good old inspector Columbo. I mean that show is really old but I still love it.

CSI was great up until Jorja Fox left. That's pretty much when I stopped watching. Just isn't the same without Sara and really, it isn't CSI without Grissom so even if I'd kept on I would have stopped by now.

I was into CSI: Miami for awhile but then the storyline started getting ridiculous and imo, they forced Horatio out of character for the sake of drama.

Same with Law and Order, I stopped watching when Jerry Orbach died.

Right now I'm really getting into NCIS. From what I've heard the procedures and such are actually fairly true to life, though Abby is sadly, just a dream for the real life investigators. I watch it more for the characters than the cases anyways. Some pretty good stuff there, imo.

well... thanks for the feedback guys! i appreciate it! well truly that people are different!
I understand those who are not imterested in these kinds of shows...

I just like this because this is kindda pretty neat for me... you know coz i just got tired sometimes of watching drama and action that there is none but killing and fight for your life... this forensics were some kind of unique taste for me hehehe...

i appreciate your opinions guys.. hope i could hear more...

Here lately I've been watching mostly NCIS, the characters are more enjoyable.

I like CSI: Miami and the original (Vegas) though, I agree with DH, when Sarah left Vegas I wasn't really into it anymore. Miami got a little shitty around the time Horatio got extradited to Brazil for murder and the storyline just went whack, with his faux assassination, etc etc.

I like the old Law and Orders, though. I grew up on them, my grandfather was always watching them, but SVU and CI are my favorites currently.

I watch mostly csi:miami or ny. i have watched all the vegas episodes online when I was sick for a month. I do love them. I just feel like lately that every episode is becoming the same over and over again. All it comes down to is they do the same thing in every episode. I know episodes are different but they solve them the same way. I think the writer's need to think up more interesting episodes in the new seasons. But I will still watch them no matter what, its a ritual. lol.

My mom loves these series. xD" She watches them every time she has the chance to. (That's when my father's not at home XD) She even bought one of the seasons of CSI Miami, if I remember correctly. .-.
So I've seen many episodes of CSI Miami and I think NCIS O.o I don't really like it, but I don't hate it, either. I think it's quite interesting to watch, especially as the cases are not too fictional.

I have an unfortunate affection for anything pertaining to the Murder Mystery genre. They're honestly all the same, though. After having read, watched and written endless oceans of them, they all blend into the same set and subset of stories, plots, characters.

    I like:

    MONK
    NCIS
    CSI
    CSI New York
    Nero Wolfe
    Sherlock Holmes

    ect...ad nauseum...

I like NCIS the most, I admit. Then MONK. Then CSI. And so forth. But as I already said, they're all the same. One episode on one show is just like another episode on a different show and after a while I tire of them, but I always come back. It's like a Heroin addiction, really persistent.

It's all about NCIS for me. I used to love CSI Vegas, but I dunno, I just lost interest in it. Miami and NY annoy the hell out of me, especially with David Carusso's cheesiness and sunglasses.

NCIS seems to have a better cast of more diverse and interesting characters, and I love how they slowly reveal little tidbits about the characters, while injecting some humor into what could have been a boring series.

I also loved NYPD Blue when it was on, and Third Watch... and Boomtown. Now THOSE are some great shows. Third Watch and Boomtown were short lived though.
