I personally felt that the narration cheapened the whole experience. I just felt it was there to explain to the slow viewers what is happening and sets it up for them, as opposed to just deducting it for yourself as you would any other movie. The Final Cut is the definitive version in my eyes with no narration and is the best paced version. What is even more intriguing than the narration was the alternative, happy ending where we see Deckard and Rachael driving through some scenic landscapes. That would have ruined the whole experience if that was included.
