I tried to stay as non-biased as I could by only reading the previous judgment after my own, so hopefully its my opinion and not her influence on mine.

They joy of being a judge is its your opinion, especially in writing, one persons style just may not agree with another, while brilliant to a third.

The difference in styles shouldnt alter what you put though, only what you think. I mean, obviously you have oppinion but you can just use general rules of written language to judge these. =]

Hyz, I know you're being nice, but I rather not you tell a judge how to judge, or what to judge by. I think by now, he knows to use the rules of written language. He just adds his 2 cents in with it.

That's the kind of judging I like, and also the kind of judging that's the best. ^_^

Grrrrrrrrrrrr, why the hell do you have to be so damn difficult Toph? Seriously. You didnt create the damn boat I was on, I DID! It DIDNT get destroyed, it conducted lightening and so moving it away from my character.

As for telling him how to judge. I DIDNT! I was talking with him, I was just saying he didnt have to use his own oppinion. I didnt say "dont use your own opinnion" did I? THAT would be telling him. Why is everything you say to me in here so agressive? I'm sick of it, I cant do anything right by you.

Hyz, in talking about Text based RPB's... to use the general rules of written language is a rather loose term personally. If we were looking at General terms of writing, the RPB's would be more focused on the structoral english class type rules... which would focus more on grammar, style, spelling and so forth.

I see an RPB a little beyond that. My personal view is that it is not so much how a person uses proper english to create teir idea, but the idea itself, how it is presented, the ability to paint a mental image in writing. I don't look much at spelling or grammar styles because I myslef am not very good with such formal things. I more like to see how good you are at the actual Role Play, to pretend to live and be something you are not. The more you are able to make your character believable and alive.

For the most part, I judge based on experience. Not to say I am the best to be qualified, I just have been here at TFF for a long time and have followed the RP/RPB at TFF since the near beginning... so I more go what has been and so forth... Kind of the tradition that has been set.

Just to let you know, see how I think/work. I can at least say I have experience at TFF in the RP/RPB. I may not do it much any more (I am sort of retired and have been for about 3 or more years) but... I have been in plenty of my own RPB's and have judged a few TOA's and other things... so thats my "qualification" if you will. If you want general english rules... I probably am not the best person to talk to

I just... don't have the super impulsive drive like i used to... I need to get back into writing though, I just don't want to do it in won-ton open fights. It's gotta have a point. Same with RP

Ah, okay. I understand now. I thought you were basically saying that what you saw as good writing was more influencial than.. erm... actual talent, if you get me. I dont mean that you didnt recognise talent more that you just saw a certain wriing style as talent. I get that you dont do that now.

I liked your judging anyway, I like anything that says what it means. Thats why I liked Aerifs, he spoke about things in a way that told me exactly what ahe thought. So does yours so I'm happy if you are judging the rest of the fights.

As for your qualification, as you put it, I never disputed that. Your ref no on here speaks for the time you have spent and you have easily seen more fights than me. Like I said, I wasnt having a go, more like... Trying to grasp what you were saying and how you were judging. I liek to fully understand things.

Aerif's was alright, I guess, but it just seemed very vague to me. Aerif really didn't go as deep into his two cents as I would have hoped, instead he used points, which were very weird for me, as I have never seen judging, or judged RPBs before with points. They usually don't work very well together.

Huh what? I NEVER dropped out of the tournament. Don't misinterpret me. I said I was "done with this (as in, the fighting)." And to tell me when everyone was through with their happy arguement, but I never once mentioned the tournament. Taking 1 +1 and making 3...doesn't work. ^_^;

I'm still in, though I don't know how much time I'll have. We all know DH is going to win (=P), but I still want to fight her anyway.

This club really needs to get itself together, haha. Hopefully things will start to work after the inner RP is made. I suggest not planning for anything except that for a while after this tournament ends. We've seen what a disaster doing something before we can work together has turned out to be. So let's not do it again.

And, as Hyz mentioned a while ago (I think), everyone needs to get their profiles to the inner Rp in. That means everyone. Not just the tourney participants. Toph, I believe we discussed linking to the profiles in the member list? I don't know where that ever went...

I still need to do mine too, so I'll try to get that done before the tourney ends.

It only takes a short time then you will see that Syd said it didnt matter how long after we post that we edit providing the opponent hasnt already posted. ~cough~ You didnt post for days so technically I could have edited as much as I wanted.

You edited hours later and I didn't read that, though now that I have - wood flooring in a space/air ship seems a bit odd. I'll add shag carpeting next. Though, to let you know: "work made of wood; especially : interior fittings (as moldings or stairways) of wood". Definition of woodwork.

Also, your profile was not linked in the club thread, as I looked through the character/battleground posts. Maybe it was in the old thread or something?

...The ship is obviously made out of a special alloy that does not conduct/kill itself because of electricity.

And I think there definitely should be a time limit on editing, because I've gotten a complaint from PM regarding that.

I've not been posting recently because I'm still seriously pissed at Toph, especially since he overlooked my judgement and then employed Psychosyd to come to nearly the exact same conclusions, even down to the purple writing. So I decided not to post in case I totally lost it.

Prodigal Madness is right about keeping things active, I realise you've posted know Xeim, however Evangel made claims that he would wait to post after Uryuu posted, however neither posts appeared and both where put out. That's why it's important to keep things semi-active.

Anyway, I think I may have detected the main flaw of this tournament, the reason why more fighting than complimenting is occuring and the reason why people are taking the approach to 'shoot first, ask questions later'.

The tournament has became a mini TOA.

Down to the way the arenas where chosen, the introduction from the tournament organiser, the eventual bringing in of a TOA judge, the way matches where made using a third party randomiser. Sure, these things can be used in other places without necessarily being linked to the TOA, however when all of these things are put toghether and the actual method of judging is criticised for not being the same as or simalar to the TOA then we have a BIG problem.

Also, your all becoming a bit to reliant on Toph, this may be because he's the most dominearing of the club 'leaders' catergory, however you must remember that the only responsibillity he's actually claimed is the tournament, so the likes of the inner-RP shouldn't really be something you should be expecting him to launch or nag people to do. Democracy people, democracy.

And I know Syd had similar results. The major difference... is that he said why in good detail. You never said why. You just had points with a minor statement as to why. I know you said you did what you did to be easy on yourself, but I didn't think a slight description was that much trouble. That's all I really asked for.

And yes, it's a Mini TOA. ...That's pretty much what I had in mind to begin with. Although I screwed up on a lot of things. (I could have sworn I've taken responsibility for how this turned out several posts ago...but I guess that was ignored.)

Hehe...I never said anything like that. I merely stated it wasn't high on my list of priorities. If you'd like to know how severely packed my schedule is and how minor an RPB no one's posted in yet is, I can gladly explain. But you know...that would take up the time that I could use to be doing more important things. o_O And I'm really sorry if I sound horrid, but I'm rather impatient in situations like these. -_-

And you, know...I've stated this before. Things aren't turning out well because we took on too big of a project too soon. The inner RP is basically designed so we're forced to figure out how to work together. If we don't- the club goes down the toilet (flushing whatever way you dream about) again.

I don't know if you guys will like this...but what's done is done and that's it. No use bringing up things that have already been decided and become water under the bridge. (two cliches in one paragraph. Go me.) Frankly, I'd say all complaints having anything to do with past judging as well as people's posting methods...and how the tourney is set up are moot. Until of course, they arise again. In that event, however, I hope we've all settled down and realized that we DON'T have to attack each other to have a conversation. I'll argue this point again and again until you guys have it solid in your head, because it is important.

Seriously people. I truthfully feel like I'm in elementary school again. Though, I agree that elementary schoolers don't have such...developed...vocabularies. Eloquence is the seperator.

I've been telling people over and over again to post this thing up. It's taking people ages I think for the same reason the tourny is dying. I don't think anyone is really ready at the moment, even you Xeim.

We have no active topic aside from bickering.

No real sense of unity (I feel like I'm on one side of a political breakdown).

And last but not least people dont seem to have time. I mean, it took us 5 days to re-boot after the last argument and my final post and then we are straight back into the mainstream we are all part of, arguing.

Whether you be actually taking part of simply commenting we are all part of it as long as we let it happen. You may say you can't stop people but the simple truth is you can, just by agreeing on a solution. I'll hold up my hands and say I took a massive part in it but thats because I was sticking up for sombody. Not because I wanted to cause trouble.

As for it being a mini TOA. Can't it be something else? It's not being marked like TOA surely? The people who would normally join the TOA would be better than some of us, we should be marked on our own levels of skill which is why simply facing us against each other isnt good enough. You can't gain skill by being pounded into the dirt and told you arnt good enough.

Oh, anyway Democracy... Exactly Aerif. Exactly. Let's get this all sorted out that way, we nee dto set up a few more rules such as, like, a rule about taking up judgement issues with judges. It should be taken to the leader and then the leader talk to the judge. That way we arnt attacking people directly. I think issues against each other should be kept on a relative low down, maybe send a pm to the person you are having issues with. Talk about it, and get it sorted without a brawl.

Maybe I'm talking crap... I just think we should do soemthing fully as a club, without contestation. It's gonna be hard too because, as Toph said, we are all creative and disputes happen but lets try to keep them between eachother and get them resolved.

Okay, making the excuse "we are all creative and disputes will happen" is getting REALLY old. The big reason why I avoid posting in here is because people are arguing. If you have conflicting opinions, you don't have to turn it into an argument. Just tell the person what you want to say, and it doesnt even have to be a post in the club. If you want to say something to someone, do it via P.M. This is a club, not a chat room. Basically, if you want to say something that contributes to the club, and not specifically a certain rpb or something like that, then say it.

Alright, inner rp. So what are the EXACT details that we should include in our character's profiles? Of course, I don't plan on using anyone like Dragoth for it. Too many conflicts with other characters xD. And, what is the setting? Are the characters learning about writing in an academy or something? or maybe we could do some fantasy FF8 garden-type feel, where we'd be doing more stuff like that. I have no clue ><

So that's my five cents, now give it back. I'm poor. ><

Name: Aimee-Bethany Rose Summers, double barrel name.

Age: 18. On here I have put myself as older but as Toph knows I do that so people don't talk to me like I'm young and I was 16 when I joined.

Appearance: Short blonde hair down to like mid neck. Fringe swept to the left. Blue eyes, very light in colour and for some reason they sometimes go grey. As for clothes I wear like... Jeans and white shirts under black tops. I sometimes wear an orange jacket too. What shoes? Dolly ones blue, green and turquoise. =]

Personality: I'm fairly bubbly, most of the time. I have strong oppinions and a quick temper, I also tend to give people too much and care FAR too much about people. Most of the time I'm incredably sarcastic, but my naivity makes up for that. I've been said to be 'cute' and 'innocent' before. I don't know about that though...

Background: My origins lie in Cambridge, UK, the city of my youth and early teenage years. I moved up here (to Manchester) to be near my dad whilst my mum worked a new job in London. My mum does liev with us, just only really every other weekend or less. My dad's an archaeologist, he digs up boring stuff and reads books, no dinosaurs of ruins for him. My mums a doctor, she's crazy and banned me from dying my hair at my new school. Manchester Royal college of Music... I sing. I also study English Language, Law and Psychology via that postal University, good stuff. My dad spoils me, I hate it too, he buys me dresses I'll never wear that are far out of my fashion. More inkeeping with Paris Hilton. He buys me shoes that I wouldn't dare scratch because of their price. I generally have a "nice" life, so it would seem. I miss my mum though and I wish I could dissapear my brothers and sister. Found that music wasn't for me and decided to join a newly created school named the "Writers Academy" hopefully to meet new people, extend my skills and escape my parents.

Ah, sounds pretty simple. I must've missed all of the details or whatever. Sorry about that. Anyways, I've got nothing else to do so I'll just post it here. Although, I guess it feels weird going to school, coming home and going on my computer just to pretend I'm in school again but ah well, at least I get to have anime spikes if I want to.
