Ah, yeah, I almost forgot Yeah, after much thought, I definitely have to give my vote to GLC, I loved his Miyamoto sigs, and that latest one was pretty good. So my vote= GLC.
Haha, yeah, that was a bad time for Link, those really awful games that were released on that one console, that, well, had nothing to do with Nintendo. I forget the name of the console, and the name of the games, but I do remember they looked horrendous. Now, I do agree with you GLC, I loved Link to the Past, I felt it was the best 2D Zelda game ever created, and possibly, although I haven't played Twilight Princess, it may be the best Zelda game that I have ever played, and I have played most of the games with Zelda or Link in the title (excluding those CD-I games and Twilight Princess).
Now, Indie Development games would be awesome for the VC. I am, for one, looking forward to this the most. Not only will older games that aren't really in circulation anymore become available, but the possibility of Indie games that will, possibly, be really good, that will mostly only be on the console. I think that Nintendo made a really smart move by adding the Virtual Console to the system, and they will definitely reap the rewards for it for quite a few years to come. I know it might be a bit early for this, but do you think that the VC will be added to the consoles from now on? The question rang up in my head just now, but it may be that the VC may just be a Wii thing, and the next generation of Nintendo Console may not support it. Just a little bit to think on...
uuuh. well. I see that I'm probably out of the competition. I just did a simple zelda banner. Maybe next time I can do something better. I think I'll try to put a better background, and change it, but that's all I really know how to do. If I'm last, then whatever. I'll put the master sword background in and see how that goes.
I already sent my vote to Maxpower and it was for his Banner, GLC's Faces of Miyamoto came a close second, I actually wish I could give 2 points to maxpower and one to GLC, but oh well.
Since playing Zelda TP I've been getting interested in reexploring the past zelda games, seeing as I have clocked most of them yet. I've just past the 6temple in Zelda TP by the way and there are 7 temple I think so i'm nearly done. On complaint I have about it however is that the puzzles are really easy, I havn't had to pick up a walkthrough yet, where as many of the 2D zeldas could have me stumped for hours. Even OoT and MM where harder actually, did anyone else who's played TP find it much easier then the other zelda games to date. I just seems like they weren't trying very hard with their puzzles this time.
I'm probably going to play Link's Awakening and see how much that stumps me.
Setzer's Review Library: Tyrian,
Wii Sports, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zelda: Minish Cap, Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Link's awakening will probably stump you a lot. You will NEED a walkthrough. It's a good game, the story's a little weird, but it's a fun game indeed. You need to get the instruments from the dungens (think of them as temples) and play them all in front of the egg. Also for a lot of the dungens you will need keys. And I hear there is an alternate ending if you never die. That'll be hard, but I'm willing to give it a try. In that case, after you are done playing press start and select and a and b all at the same time. Then it will ask if you want to save and quit. That way you don't have to die to save. IT's a fun game, but if you want to get the alternate ending then you will have a really tough time. There is one secret that once you get to eagle's tower I will tell you. The Deluxe edition has an awesome secret where you can get two different tunics, Well, that's all for now. If you need help, consult an walkthrough or me. I have beaten it quite rescently and I could help you. WOW, this is long. So I'll stop typing about Link's awakening.
I haven't played TP yet at all. I was just about to ask people about it, I was supposed to be playing it soon with my friend on his gamecube. He reserved a copy online but I guess there was a mistake and instead of him receiving when it's released he has wait to wait until February! Wow that really sucks for him.
Anyhoo, i feel the same way about the 2D Zeldas being harder. I thought I might be the only one. I remember in my best zelda thread, somebody who voted for ocarina of time tried to say that link to the past was too easy. I don't know if it was just me, but i thought all the old school zeldas were harder, especially more so than Ocarina of Time. I thought Ocarina of Time was really easy, Majora's Mask was much harder though, atleast to me.
Link's Awakening was pretty hard too. I never used walkthroughs on any of the old school zeldas, but i do remember Link's Awakening being one of the harder ones, harder than Link to the Past for sure. I always ask myself though, were they really that much harder or was it because i was so young? I'm gonna have to replay them sometime and see for sure. If i had to choose the hardest Zeldas, i'd say the original Zelda on the NES is probably the hardest by far. Link's Awakening is up there too for me.
As for Twilight Princess, it's funny because from what i've heard its supposed to be one of the harder ones. Well i read a review that it was harder than Ocarina of Time, but not hard enough. They were really trying to go for a darker, harder more mature Zelda but sounds like they didn't go far enough. I personally think overall a lot of the Zelda games are too easy, I understand why nintendo makes them so but I think it'd be cool to include several difficulty settings for people who want a challenge. I haven't played Wind Waker either but i heard it's one of the easiest yet.
In reference to Twilight Princess, i saw this thread at the Zelda universe forum when checking out ocarina of time 2d info
Things Taken Out of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I'm really surprised at a lot of this stuff they left out! Enemies, locations, lots of stuff. The one that really surprised me is they took out the huge sprawling forests. That was one big thing that i was impressed with back when i used to see early screenshots of the game. It's too bad they took it out. I just wonder why they did? Apparently Ocarina of Time was supposed to have big forests as well but those were removed. And the giant tree thing looked awesome too.

@existingdark, okay thanks, If I get stuck I'll be sure to ask you, unless a walkthrough is closer and more convenient.
@GLC, Yeah I had a look at the things taken out of the game and of course the thing people found most disapointing was the large forests, but I'm not really because the fields were already needlessly huge and there isn't even enough hidden on these huge fields to make them worth it. In fact they probably could have fit another temple in the game if they didn't have quite so much needless space in the game, these vast forests would have added to this problem. However they could have just as easily made the southern Hyrule field a vast forest I meant they already have enough of the field idea. They have taken out a lot of these things so they could fit more other stuff that was probably better anyway. Maybe they shouldn't have released the trailer so early since now I bet a lot of rumours are going to start about how these removed things are hidden in the game. A hell of a lot of rumours came out of OoT.
Maybe I was lucky in TP to happen to be able to figure out what I needed to do next in the dungeons nearly immediately. In fact I got through the dungeons quickly because it was often just a seemless unhindered journey from one door to the next, nothing really had my thinking for a long time, except maybe the Statue puzzle before the master sword and the second block puzzle in the ice temple. In fact what you tend to realise is that both of these more challenging puzzle are practically 2d in terms of their dimensions. Maybe they are just that much better at 2d puzzles, or maybe I'm that much worse at them.
Oh well i'm going to play Link's Awakening and I'll keep you all updated about how much harder I find it.
Good luck with your banners people.
Setzer's Review Library: Tyrian,

Yeah i'm sure people will be talking A LOT about things left out of the game. I haven't played it yet so I really don't know how the game is already, I guess I would have liked to seen some big woods, probably more so than large open plains for sure. I think it'd be great to see a huge full 3D beautiful looking rendition of the "lost woods." I think the guy on that forum brings up a good point that sometime we'll be able to use action replay to find and play all those left out parts of the game.
Good luck with Link's Awakening though, it's definitely one of my favorite zelda games. It's so much different and unique to me in comparison with a lot of the other titles and it has a lot of fun little mini games, and the DX version has a lot of cool extra stuff. I definitely would play the deluxe color version over the original.
Existingdark, i like your banner! Your original was good i thought. I liked how you made the logo gold, that worked really well. Also, with the black background, the gold and black made for a really nice contrast. I liked what you did with the new one with master sword in the background too. I think i've seen way too many zelda banners though, especially in that same ocarina of time style, but certainly a cool banner none the less. I'm sure we'll have more competitions down the road anywayz though so don't worry about it. There are no winners or losers in this club, since all our work is contributing to the greatness of the Nintendo Worshippers
Anyhoo, i need to vote too, and after much thought i'm still going with yours Geomancer! It's just too cool and crazy, an even more psychedelic version would have been great too though! I was really impressed with everyone's though, i think yours would have been next Maxpower. It was hard for me choosing between yours and geomancers.
@DarkDragoon, I love the scrolling sigs thing! It's crazy because yesterday I saw somebody else doing the same thing and i thought to myself "wow thats what i need to do, so i finally display all my banners." Or not all my nintendo ones for sure because there are too many..but i was thinking of having a banner for every club or something. Plus my original General Leo banner before i had any of the club ones

hm, well, there is a three image limit to signatures and posts, so, 3 for each, didn't know if you knew that or not. Anyways, this is going to be an interesting contest, I guess we will find out the winners in a few days. As for me, I have always loved the Zelda games, but I always wondered why the second one, Link, went sidescroller, it seemed a bit out of place with all of the other games except the ones in 3D being top-down. And, the fact that a lot of the dungeons and different areas seemed to repeat, there wasn't enough variation in levels. It bored me to death honestly, I just gave up after getting most of the way through the game because it just didn't feel like a true Zelda. Links Awakining, the first handheld Zelda, yeah, one of the few games I haven't played, I actually completely forgot about it :/. I need to add that one to my list of Zeldas I haven't played, which is a very small list indeed.
I am thinking about making another sig, but this time, ditching the animation, possibly going with a FF6 motif, as it was the last (and best, ever) true FF for the Nintendo consoles (FFCC don't count, and neither do the FFTA, as they aren't the numbered series). Anyways, keep gaming and posting
~TheDarkDragoon
Yeah i did realize that..er sorta? I definitely know about the post thing and i thought the same for the sig, but i thought i remember loco saying that it didn't matter how many as long as it didn't take up a certain height. I could be wrong though, it mite just not allow you to edit the sig at all with more than 3 if you write them in. Three might be enough though, just one for my general leo, one nintendos worshipper, and then one if we make one in game designer's united of course! ..except maybe I might be making one in the old school cult too. I guess i'll have to pick and choose my favorite clubs.
That's awesome you are making a FF VI banner! Any special scene or idea you were gonna use? I was thinking of doing the same thing with the old school cult, but we are going over different ideas right now so I'm not sure. I say we keep making cool sigs here in Nintendo Worshippers, I have so many ideas left that i want to try to make sometime up the road as well. I was playing Super Mario 3 yesterday and came up with an interesting idea that I'm gonna look into.
In no time with so many of us making sigs, we're gonna have to have a gallery or something. :
You're right about Zelda 2 though, man what a bad game. I played through some of it but i have to say that i never have completed it. I actually heard it got really hard at the end of the game though. I still have a lot of zeldas i want to play..i haven't played oracle of ages/seasons, wind waker,or Minish Cap, or really four swords on the gamecube. You should play sometime if though..definitely a classic game in the series, though obviously showing its age right now.
Anywayz, we still got a lot of ppl left to vote before Wednesday. The contest is still anybody's really. We got atleast three people left, not including any other members who don't visit frequently.

Also I got a PM this weekend from Doughboy asking if he could join the club so I told him that would be Okay. So let’s welcome our newest member doughboy!
Also speaking of Zelda CD-I (Thank goodness most people don't remember those games) check this out.

Okay I had a quick go of Link's awakening and geez it took quite while just for me to find the key in the mysterious woods, how this may have also been because it tends to not give you clear instuctions of where to go next. For example I didn't even think to go to the south of town armed with only a shield, by after wandering around town aimlessly for a while I decided it was my last resort to go down there and of course found the sword.
Then in the forest it took me ages to figure out that you had to go to the screen after where the raccoon taunts you and then just head back the way you came, and I finally got to a new part of the forest and finally found the key. Although this tooka while to figure out i'm not sure if I would call it a puzzle I mean to figure out which screen you had to go back the way you came in, it was just random wondering around chance that I found it. I should probably see what the dungeons are like and comment about them.
However I've actually decided to play Minish Cap now, just felt like playing a nicer newer looking one before resorting to the oldest games. So I'll comment on how hard I find Minish Cap soon.
@Maxpower, wow that game looked really crap, but I guess that's what you get when you try to recreate the game that nobody liked, Zelda 2. So geez do you get into a cutscene with every enemy you kill or was that meant to be a boss, the final boss? Wow what a crap looking game.
Glad to see a new member joining, welcome Doughboy. Now we just need to think of something embarrising and degrading for you to do before being admitted into the club, ha! ha!, Oh but Maxpower is the leader so whatever he wants.

Wow that makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. That has to be the easiest boss battle in the history of the world. *throws wand* YES I BEAT IT! I especially liked the ending with the king and link.
*Scrub all the floors in hyrule then we'll talk about mercy!"
Anyhoo, welcome to the ranks of the Nintendo Worshippers Doughboy!
As for voting, is tommorrow the last day or wednesday? It's too bad more club members didn't show up to vote. Still got a little bit of time though of course.
I still haven't played Minish Cap yet either. Yeah that beginning part is kinda confusing, it's not exactly random moving around though. I guess that's really what the lost woods are like. The dungeons are pretty hard for sure, you'll get stumped. The last dungeon especially..WOW, if you get around to finishing Link's Awakening beware of Turtle Rock!! If you thought some of the other dungeons were hard, this has more puzzles than you can shake a stick at! Probably more than several of the other ones combined.

Wow according to when I last posted it has only taken an hour for me to beat the first dungeon of Minish Cap, nothing really stumped me except for me thinking there was more to a puzzle when there wasn't. I was trying to figure out how to get a chest and after giving up I found out that the game led you there later as it was a small key. The Boss, a big blob of green slime although still not very hard was harder then most of the TP bosses. Considering how quickly I've gotten this far through the game I hope I'm not going to clock the game in 4 hours, although there are 3 things in the quest screen after the elements so maybe not. As long as there are plenty of pieces of heart to find and stuff I won't be rushing through all the main dungeons that quickly. Anyway may analysis reveals that Minish Cap isn't any harder so far. Maybe I've just gotten smarter at the Zelda games, who know. Another update will come as soon as someone posts after me, uh unless it's only like 10 minutes after.

I have excluded Geomancer thanks to his leaving, so I shall be basing this solely on those still coming to the forum... I know that LocoColt04 has yet to announce his decision, but I'm going to go simply on my own view, as it was wanted.
I have decided on...

*tense moment*
TADA!
Maxpower!
His tag has a very colourful and playful theme and it's nice and soft on the eyes. The image is so him, and I love how it seems to match his personality, too, so yeah. Maxpower is who I'm "voting" for.
And so as to mention the others, GLC's tag was hilarious, and would definately make second place, if there was such a title.
Existingdark had a good, dark theme, but it seemed to lack a little something, still a good one, though.
TheDarkDragoons' was fun, what with the whole gif and tradition Mario thing... But it was bigger than it really needed to be, and seemed a little empty.

well I changed mine to add the master sword background and had to get rid of a link. I tried to take out the black background on the other one, and it took some out of the picture. that wasn't good. Plus I didn't have enough room with the logos to really show the master sword. Now I only have one link but I think it looks better.
err what stuff of mine creeped you out Chez??

Ah and the great Chez has spoken! You really kept us waitin in anticipation there. Thanx for the compliment on my sig, I think where I lack in the technical skills, i make up for in weird and funny ideas. Now for Loco's vote.
Anyhoo, you know what i was thinking today that i was trying to piece together? The Zelda Timeline...as in what order the games are placed in, becase we all know it's the same link in all the games. Well when doing the resarch i stumbled across these videos at spikedhumor.com
I THINK this is the order, somebody correct me if i'm wrong
Minish Cap
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask (A)
Links Awakening (A)
Legend of Zelda (A)
Zelda 2 Adventure of Link (A)
Four Swords Adventures (A)
Link to the Past (A)
Oracle of Seasons (A)
Twilight Princess (B)
WindWaker (B)
Phantom Hourglass (B)
Oracle of Ages (B)
Actually, crap, as the videos explain, there are actually TWO split timelines after Ocarina. One, being where Link was an adult, and one where he was still a child. So that splits the timeline in 2..confusing stuff. Designated that after ocarina with timelines A and B

Hm, are you serious? I would have figured the two Oracle games would have takes place around the same time period... I wonder if there is an official timeline somewhere :/ Anyways, I haven't even begun on my banner, I plan on redoing this one and the one for the Hive, and making a BoD one, but I just haven't had the will, or artistic inspiration to make or remake any of them, so, they are all going to stay ugly 'til I get some dahm inspiration XD. Oh, and my Worshipper one I am planning on theming after the Espers in VI, but, I am not quite sure yet, don't quote me .Originally Posted by GLC
Yeah there's an official timeline if you watch those videos and they explain it all. That's where i assembled my list from. It's funny that the two oracles games aren't even part of the same timeline. . But man they really go indepth about things. There must be a half an hour or more on zelda between those videos.
Sounds cool about your banner idea. Yeah, i too have been lazy. I have some ideas, but eh...i don't know i just don't feel like working on anything honestly.
..watching those videos brought an old school tear of happiness though. ESPECIALLY link to the past..great stuff. Kinda makes me want to play the remaining i havent't..aka oracle of ages/seasons, it's interesting that one is puzzles and one is action. Then Windwaker, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess of course, and Four Swords. Has anyone played it? multiplayer zelda sounds great

I played Minish Cap, didn't like it too much, and had both of the Oracle games, they were pretty fun, and to clarify, Seasons was about the action, Ages was about mind wrenching puzzles, which made the game really freakin tough. I never touched Windwaker, mainly because of the cel-shading... I hate cel-shaded -__-;; and the Four Swords, I never got to play that very much, weren't many people around to play. I don't watch videos on here because of the crap assed dial-up though, I hate dial-up, but nothing else is available where I am, it sucks not being anywhere close to civilization.
Thanks GLC Retrospective of Zelda is awesome, I've just been watching it and I'm just waiting for part 3 to load. I've learn a lot of things about it that I didn't know, in fact I'm actually considering playing Zelda I.
On Minish Cap I got stuck a few times trying to get to the second dungeon, climbing up that mountain. The Dungeon itself still didn't stump me much, but the boss of that temple was a lot harder then a lot of others I've seen, he actually got me down to my last heart.
Edit: Your like me DD, I rarely have inspiration when I want to, I have to wait for it to happen and it write down, as I'm a writer, I couldn't design for crap. If I'm too busy to write at that particular time, it's wasted.
It sure is strange that OoA and OoS are so different in the timeline, it said in retrospective 4 that they are mostly just alternative events where Link is teleported to one world instead of the other. So I would have thought they would be they same, well I guess I'll find out on part 6, I'm watching part 5 now.

Yeah i thought it was really informative as well, especially interesting if you are into the Zelda series like we Nintendo Worshippers are. It really makes me want to play all those other zeldas. I think Oracle of Ages/Seasons will be up there on my list because i really liked Link's Awakening, but i like that one is all more action and one is more puzzles. Even though they may be hard, i really enjoy the puzzle aspects of games.
Windwaker i swore not to play awhile back because one i don't have a gamecube, but also like you DarkDragoon, i was turned away by it's cellshaded look. I'm gonna have to give it another chance and when i get my Wii, i'll probably get it if i can still find a copy of the gamecube game. If i had a gba and four people with the game, i think multi player four swords would be great, though four swords adventures on the gamecube could be interesting as well playing four players at once.
Out of all the ones i haven't played i.e. minish cap, oracle of ages/seasons, windwaker, and four swords, which one do you think is the best?
Oh yeah and you should definitely play Zelda I Setzer..it's classic, and to me a lot more challenging than most of the other titles if you like some difficulty in your games! I'm just happy that my friend actually did get his Twilight Princess for the gamecube in the mail recently even though they told him it'd be february. I'm gonna be going over there sometime this week to start playing it and let people know my initial responses
Anywayz, last day for the vote everyone!

GLC and anyone else who is interested I've written a review about my experiences with Minish Cap, you'll find it linked at the bottom of my sig. Overall I concluded that although a solid Zelda game, it dosn't break as much ground as previous games and actually kind of take the fun and challenge out of finding hearts pieces. Because they are so easy to find that you'll find them on the way and often get a new heart on your life meter without even trying to. There is an incredible amount hidden in the world on Minish Cap, I imagine finding every secret will be like finding every pokemon on Gold or Silver.
Anyway now I'm playing Oracle of Seasons and in terms of difficulty is the most difficult one I've ever played, remembering of course that I havn't played Zelda I, II, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, Four Swords or Windwaker. So anyway so far even the puzzles have been more formidable and it's meant to be the less puzzle orientated twin. I've just passed the 3rd dungeon out of 8 that I know of. They are quite short but, heh, I don't know had frustrated from dieing all the time I would have gotten without the saving and loading state availible with emulators. The challenges of the enemie throughout the dungeons and wilderness are very formidable, with me often finding my self on edge and flinching at every movement, eith only a quarter of a heart left. Expect a full review when I finish it, after which I'll be moving on to Oracle of Ages, with it's password thing to carry my game over.
Wow I'm really getting into my old skool gaming lately.
Oh and you should all watch this, it's a documentary about the good ol, NES. the links to the other 2 part should be visible on the screen when you load it.

Actually, the Oracle of Ages is harder, for me, I should know, I played and beat Seasons, and got to the end of Ages before I had both carts get stolen. Seasons has puzzles, but they aren't as hard as in Ages. Seasons is actually more action oriented than Ages in most respects. But, I haven't played either game in so long that my memory is a little fuzzy.
And, I put this in Game Designers, but I feel it will go well here too http://www.zeldaclassic.com/
It is an editable engine for the original Zelda
Oooh that Zelda Classic looks a bit nifty I'm gunna check it out infact I'm downloading it right now ^_^

Really good Darkdragoon, if you submitted it earlier I'm sure it would have been solid competition.
Um... to stop this from being a spammy post I just thought I would tell every one that I just finished the 4th Dungeon on Oracle of Seasons, so I'm halfway there. Yay now this post is long enough.

Okay I added up the votes and here is what I got
Chez-maxpower
TheDarkDragoon - GLC
GLC - Geomancer
Geomancer - GLC
geordanuk - Geomancer
Setzertrancer - Maxpower
and my vote is for GLC because his sig was well thought out and really made me laugh. Also any time Miyamoto is involved in anything you have got to know it will be a hit!
So by my calculations GLC is the winner! I have paid to have a 8-bit nintendo added to the present list and will award it to GLC as soon as it is.
Now on to more important things! After reading all the posts to count up votes I decided that I really need to go and re-play some of the hand held zeldas. Which one do you think is the best? I always have a hard time deciding on where to start.
Hmm, who did LocoColt vote for? wasn't it Maxpower, if so wouldn't it be a draw between Maxpower and GLC. Ah well maybe I'm remembering wrong, I know LocoColt made a post about something and he said it was to vote, so maybe you should count it.
Anyway about the handheld Zelda's to play, I wouldn't really be sure because I'm currently playing through them myself and I've current only played Minish Cap and Oracle of Seasons. Out of the 2 I would vote for Oracle of Seasons, mainly because it is much, much harder, but also frustrating a lot of the time. But Minish Cap tended to be boringly easy, some of the bosses were a bit of a challenge but over all OoS wins out in my opinion. Anyway since your replaying them, Í'm sure you could answer youself better then me.
Just finished the 4th Temple and now i'm trying to find the lake shaped like eyeglasses, I've been searching for a while with no luck, ideas anyone?
