The Masters...a clan steeped in history that goes beyond this realm. A group so old that it has ceased to be a mere group...and has become a society. A community unto itself devoted to one another and to ultimate power. Only the truly deserving shall be granted entry...only those who grasp The Masters ideology shall make sufficent sacrifice to attain their power. The Masters burn on, a rolling wave of pure destruction.

Greetings all, preperations are over and the day, at last, is at hand. some of you were expecting this for some time now...others of you are clueless. Allow me to explain. The Masters have been going for over a decade now in one form or another. It has been clan, tribe, club, and underground movement in one form or another. Again we are a club, but I assure you we are far more than just that as time will surely tell.

But lets cut to the chase, in this incartnation, what are The Masters about? What are The Masters goal? Who would want to join the Masters?

Club Purpose: The Masters is a club for warriors, mercinaries by most standards, that seek the pinnicle of perfection in RP and RPB unbound by alignment and fully dedicated to this end. Not for newbies or even the 'average' fighter, but a club for those who's interest lies in destruction and have experience in bringing this to their opponents in battle.

How Does One Join?

Requests will be answered here, but if you are not already a member of The Masters (and believe me, we will know if you are) you will have to meet certain criteria.
1.) If you are a past champion of a TFF sponsored tournament you are welcome to apply.
2.) Failing this, you may battle a Masters member in a Masters organized fight to determine if you are elidgable for entry. It will be a requirement as of May 7 2006 that all applicants supply a sample of an 'rp' post in their INITIAL request to join The Masters.
3.) On certain, rare, occasions offer of membership will be presented to those who have demonstrated remarkable skill in battle outside of an official setting.

What types of activities does this club have planned?

The main occupation of time will be attempts to move within the ranking system. Masters sponsored battles that can be made on request as well as Bi-monthly Masters RPB Tournaments and Masters Only Story RP's. (More on ranking later)

Those Masters who wish may also enter our Military Division and be hired out to other groups as mercinaries for inter club battles or as opponents for story RP. (Note we will not be taking part in inter-club battle. This club has no alignment and thus can be comprised of any other clubs members)
We will also be entering members under the banner of The Masters in TFF offical tournaments.

We will also discuss the finer points of battle and help our members to refine their fighting styles with varied competition.

Ranks
'Circle of Nine' - A Council of eight of the most highly regarded Masters and the club leader titled 'Grand Master'. This is the main governing body of The Masters from times long past. Each member of the Circle has a specific job in the group that corrisponds to their title, or 'Pillar'. However, such knowledge is only imparted when one becomes a member of the Circle of Nine.
'Necrophim' - Highest rankning Masters who may have formerly been part of the ruling body or who have truly proven themselves beyond all shadow of doubt in battle.
'Master' - Those who are fully recognized as Masters and held in high regard.

A Detailing of those who hold what rank shall follow in due course.

Rules

1.) Obey all TFF rules
2.) Respect and adhere to the laws as set down by the Circle of Nine
3.) Do not bring disgrace to The Masters
4.) Do not disrespect a fellow Master, unless they are branded as a heretic by the Circle of Nine.
5.) Do not make an issue of a fellow Masters or your own race, religion, gender, sex, or other distinguishing feature in this thread nor in battle. We do not care what you are nor do we care to hear it. Keep it to yourself.
6.) Do not post in this thread unless you intend to join, are a member, or you are a guest. This rule will be strictly enforced.
7.) All rules made by the supreme Grand Master are final and cannot be altered, even by a later Grand Master. Subject to change only by the will of the Circle as a whole.

The Masters Military Division

Purpose:

The Masters Military Division (MMD) is a force of Warriors joined in one group, a ‘Task Force’ of The Masters, if you will. Though they also act as mercenaries, lending their skill out to the highest bidder or whomever it would prove more usefull on the long run to assist.

Ranking: The Ranking in the MMD is set in a hierarchy fashion. Their rank is decided upon by sevreal factors.

1st Factor:
A series of questions will be asked to each individual

2nd Factor:
Individual will be tested in combat against a ranked MMD Officer

3rd Factor:
Individual will be tested by Arbitor him self

Arbitor: (Leader) Godean
Job: Serves directly under the Grand Master. The Arbitor plays many roles, including (Though not limited to); Stratagizing, Training, Emmisarry to other Clans, Recruting, ect. In times of War, the Arbitor serves as the Grand Masters Body guard, in suit, the rest of the MMD stands at the ready to defend the Grand Master at any point in time.

Riu-Jin: (SiC/Right Hand Man) Shane
Job: The Riu-Jin is the Second in Command to the Arbitor. Their job is to help in Recruiting, can be an emmisary to other clans, may answer to the Grand Master him self. The Riu-Jin is often head of collecting Intel. In times of War (sometimes even peace) may be the Body Guard of the Arbitor or Grand Master.
Attributes: The Riu-Jin has to be collected, calm on the outside, though on the inside, a fire must rage. They have to be political at times, and at others, act as an assassin for the MMD and Masters alike.

Liu-Jin: (SiC/Left Hand Man) Swifty
Job: The Liu-Jin is the other SiC off the Arbitor. It is their job to train new members, act on intel gathered by the Riu-Jin, help train and keep lower ranks in order and peak fighting position. Liu-Jin often acts as Guidance for the Arbitor. Works togeather with the Riu-Jin on many occasions.

Genocide Ordinates: 4 People Max
The Genocide Ordinates are in all means, the Tanks of the Masters Military Divison. They are 4 of the strongest fighters under the Arbitor and the Jins. They may often be called upon to help train new members. Each Genocide Ordinate has 2 Elemental Swords Men under them.

Elemental Swordsmen: 8 People Max
The Elemental Swordsmen are the Battalion of the MMD. They along with the Genocide Ordinates are the main fighting force of the MMD and represent The Masters on the Battle Field. They train amoungst them selves as well as the Genocide Ordinates.

Accepted: (No Number)
The Accepted are members who we accept into the MMD though currently hold no rank. They can eventually move up in rank. They train along with the Elemental Swordsmen.

Oh and something else I wanted to bring up about your standards. You make mention of both RPB and RP style, while placing great stress on RPB. The entire club seems more about RPB than RP. Which seems secondary. So if you are planning on RP being equal to RPB you might want to include that in your tests. Because with people like myself, I am solely a RPer, do not do any RPBs at all. So if you do not want to do RPs that is fine, but if you are going to have it part of your club, then battling someone would not define them as a good RPer. Because there are different skills envolved in RPing that set it apart from a RPB and make someone great in one and poor in the other. This is merely a suggestion, though.

No, no, it is worth noting and if I've been lax in detailing this aspect of The Masters it is only because it is actually a new program set up for this forum. We were already experimenting with it elsewhere, and thus I referenced it as 'Masters only Story RP's' When we say Story RP, we mean what you term here as simply RP.

The RP's themselves I was going to detail at a later date as needed as you will no doubt agree that RP's vary greatly and cannot easily be hammered down with rules. There must be room left for creativity and expression, otherwise that which makes RP valuable and unique from RPB is lost.

We will try to have an official organized RP once every so many months, but we'll have to discuss the actual lengths of time as a group once we're fully set up. There is still much to edit in the initial post, and rest assured, there will be a fair sahre of RP taking place in this group as well as RPB. Our Lady of Abominations, I'm sure, would not have it any other way.

I believe this is a suitable percentage of our number that we may shortly begin our introductions to this realm. I am currently in discussions with an individual concerning something new for The Masters...a kind of story/strategy RP. More on that as items of news develop.

As to current ranks, you'll each noticed I assigned you ranks corrisponding to your previous status. If you have some discrepency, feel free to pm me and I will discuss the matter openly with you.

I have unfortunate news that our forth Godhand will be unable to attend until later on. This is a loss for us, even at this, our outset...but it is not one that we have not previously had to endure. I shall decide in short order if there will be a replacement made for the purposes of this site.

Oh, also, there are temp banners up, but I must advise that no one use any of the old banners. We have new official uniform banners in the works for each Master member. We hope ot have them ready in due course.

Alright, I have three issues to address at this time. I will first speak of those that have been presented with regards to our current outpost here and recent events since they leave a most sour taste in this ones mouth, to say the least.

First of all I would like to remind everyone that there will be no 'club war' against The Masters (A friendly tussle with the group Anomaly has mentioned prehaps, but I see such as that to be more of a.. Sparring match than a real 'war' such as the one currently spoken of by so many), our rules state very openly that we do not intend to take up arms against the triad of 'alligned' clubs and, in turn, we are going to ignore any attempt they make since it would be in blatent breach of our code and thus inpolite enough to merit its being completely overlooked in such a fashion. We MAY hire members out if there is a club clash between SoM and BoD, however it will be up to each individual member of TM wether they even want to be involved since, as I have emphasised so often in the past, we are all of equals here - no one will be forced to go and fight for those whom they dislike especially given the grave disrespect and questionable behaviour that has led to such a stance. As for those who seek such an event, they may do and say as they will, that dosent mean we have to co-operate. Let it be.

Secondly, with regards to other club threads and complaints or annoyances with them, I've been talking to Loco via PM and have posted up the conclusions of that in our offsite forums in the appropriate thread. Its definatly worth y'all checking out ASAP, and thanks in advance for the time taken there. Until things cool down a little both in SotM AND in our own clan those are the precautions we both seem to agree are mutually beneficial.

My third point is merely a nudge in the ribs for you all to start posting here now. Well.. At least on those things that are appropriate, such as signatures and ideas for a new RP or for the next round of TM Tournys. Anyone got any ideas on what we should use to plot the next RP, should we use excerpts from our histories or do something completely new as we did the last time? What enviroments would be good for fighting? Should we have one-on-one battles or some kind of crazy 'everyone for themselves' fest? Should there be themes, such as restriction to useing/not useing magics? I was actually kind of fond of that Masqureade thread Anomaly threw out there. Every man/Woman against each other. I'am always up for something of that nature and a one on one battle every now and again.

As to a shop, I did try to run Anomalous Weapons over on the other site and I believe Mage would be highly interested in persuing a similar endevour. If anyone sees him hanging around, give him a punch in the arm about this. As most of you know, I love designing weaponary...

It would be interesting to have a complex type storyline with the setting taking place in a typical RP style world and each of our characters could be some sort of warlord type person from their own country/kingdom/etc which is wanting to make claim to a land which holds some kind of importance or value...

I also think that we should maybe give more history of our characters in the RP.

I was thinking a simple plan. Any of our newer members... (that woud enter from this site) ... I could train... if they so insisted. It would be a nice and simple seting of my choice and I could make them go up against Side or Shelus.

Either that, or... I could help you in the creation of desired weaponry. You know... swords. Swords being my personal favorite (as you know as well) to work with in Role-Playing and Reality would give me great ease in such creations. They would be great works of art worth anyones use.

As to the School, as I recall it didn't pan out.,..but we attempted to begin it in a place that was frankly STAGNATE. This place is a bit more lively...its possible it could function here. Would you like to bring it back into existance? I only vaguely recall the School myself...I think you ought to repost what it was all about before we decide to fully activate it once more.

If it is your wish to train those that prove themselves in trial by combat, then you shall have that privilage should such an event occur. From other sites certainly, as I've already given you permission for such...however on this site I'm not certain training WITHIN the club will be all that necissary. Still, should it come up, I'll be sure to notify you.

As to further matters that may pertain to the School, if you would liek to be a Teacher in said school you could discuss that with Mage. I believe that such a system existed last time.

It is unfortunate that members are so lax around here, but I suppose my expectations are a little high at the moment. We will, thus, proceed with plans for the Story RP and continue setting up such programs as the School and the MMD.

Well... now that you mention it... I would very much like to increase in rank. As par to all of our knowledge, I'am currently of the 'Chosen' rank. There is not a single soul in the 'Master' rank though. I would simply request a challenge to someone that would allow me to travel to the next rank... if I prove myself that is.

If one such soul would accept the challenge... which character would I be allowed to use?

You can challenge a GH member if you so wish... regardless of win or lose you would be judged on your performance, and if so deemed your rank would be raised to Necrophim.
