Your description of the movie is pretty close, the main idea was in fact to pay one million dollars for one night with his wife. Which she did do. (It's an old movie over here)
As for your question....I wouldn't go that far for any amount of money. First of all I respect myself far too much to 'sell' myself, and if I were married, there would be no way I could ever face my husband again without thinking about what I had done for money. Even though, according to the movie, the husband went along with the idea. There are always consequences for everything we do, and like the movie, after the 'deed' was done, the marriage suffered.
Money and material things are not that important to me. As long as I can pay my bills, put clothes on my back, food in my mouth, and care for my animals....I'm good. I don't need millions of dollars to make me happy. Between my family and friends, my life is complete.
Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to take off and go wherever I wanted to and never have to worry about the bills and such....but in reality, if I can't afford it, then I really don't need it. If I haven't earned it, I don't want it. Work for what you want, and earn what you get. You can't take it with you when you die, so enjoy what you have while you are here.
