So I thought this article would make an interesting topic for a thread.

What does your sleep position reveal about your personality? - Healthy Living on Shine

What is your sleeping position, and does your personality match your sleeping position?

I sleep in the Soldier, or Starfish position. Both of them pretty much sum up my personality as well, but I have never been known to snore.

I also cover my whole body with a blanket, because I am a weenie and get cold easily.

I think I mostly sleep Soldier position or Freefaller if I felt like I was ready to sleep, ignored it and then went to sleep several hours later.

Parts of either description could fit me to some extent, but neither is completely right.

I usually sleep in the Freefaller position. But the whole analysis thing doesn't really fit me xD

I sleep in positions they didn't really mention on there. Like, I bend my knees a lot. When I lay on my stomache(freefaller), I have one knee bent or something. Sometimes I sleep with my hand under my chest and one arm under my pillow.. which is actually kind of weird.. and not good for circulation.

I usually sleep in the Foetus, Yearner and Starfish positions. The descriptions seem to match my personality too. I'd say that I do look like a tough person, but I'm quite soft and warm hearted. I like to be open minded about a lot of things, but that doesn't stop me asking questions. Also, when I've made my mind up about something, that's usually how I do it.

And I'm not good around people, no matter how much I like helping.

Although, I don't think I snore (I've never heard anyone mention that they've heard me), and I sleep very well in the Starfish position. My shoulders hurt a little bit when I wake up, but that's about it. Also, I always feel like I have to cuddle something when I sleep... Usually I wake up with my arms wrapped around my rolled up duvet, or around my pillow. xD;

I usually sleep Starfish, or FreeFaller position. The descriptions of personality are actually pretty dead on for me.

I can't imagine myself sleepihng in the log position. For me that would be very uncomfortable. My arms would more than likely go number after a minute of two.

I sleep in kind of a combination of the fetus and the yearner. I don't bend my legs up towards my chest. Usually, I sprawl them out across the bed or keep the straight.

So I guess I'm both of those? Well, it could be more off I suppose, but they're pretty vague and non specific categories.

I seem to alternate between the fetus position and the freefaller. It usually depends on if I get cold though. If it's a bit chilly, I'll curl up in the fetus position. If not, I'll stretch out into the freefaller. I also sometimes sleep with one leg out from under the covers if I'm in that position. I suppose I do it for temperature control.

I think the personality trait associated with the fetus position is a lot closer to my own view of how I am than the freefaller though, but who knows? Maybe some people do view me as a bit of both.

I sleep like a dead person, On my stomach with my legs and arms out and my head to the side.

One Halloween, i got some of that fake blood and when my dad went to wake me up i began spitting it out my mouth and rolling around on the floor. scared the living hell out of him.

I fall asleep in the starfish and wake up in the freefaller position, unless drunk. Then I stay perfectly still. Unless of course, I'm at a hotel or in close proximity to my friends. I definitely go right to freefaller then. I would not live it down if I was pitching a tent when I woke up.

The only thing is that I'm pretty alright with criticism, so long as its warranted, and I don't mind being the center of attention, except if it's in an intervention like state. Otherwise, I can be brash, outgoing, helpful and a good listener.

Fetus and yearner. Both sum me up quite well as I am shy and rather cynical, it does take me a while to warm up to and trust a lot of people (unless I am quick to see that they are a really good person). As for being stubborn about my decisions, I like to keep open-minded about things, but when I have a firm head about something, I won't back down! xD

I am a freefaller but that doesn't really match me, If I go to sleep on purpose as in I don't drift off I go into the freefall position but If I accidentally fall asleep I am usually soldier or a mix between soldier and feoutus.

but there is something funny about the way I sleep when I sleep on my stomache and raise one leg hahah , momy always scolds me that it isn't good for my body to have one raised leg so I try to have the foetus position

I sleep in both of these but I sleep in Fetus position most. Not sure if it is really accurate though.

Apparently I move and fidget LOADS in my sleep, probably why Im always tired in the mornings...I must act out my dreams in my sleep.....anyway I always seem to nod off in the fetus position, and to a lesser extent the freefaller one, used to sleep on belly loads til I got up the duff and it became impossible. When Im on my own I sleep right on the edge, if Im with my boyfriend I practically sleep on top of him hahah
