What is your most cherished childhood possession?

For as long as I can remember, I've had this one stuffed animal, that I absolutely loved when I was small. The classic child and stuffed animal scenario. I couldn't sleep without it and cried when it started to rip because it was so old, (my dad came to the rescue and fixed it <3) I have all of my most important toys when I was small. But this one is the most important. I think my old school (the original) Polly Pockets are special too, the ones with the different themed houses and super tiny people. Lot's of people collected them.

As for my most important one, It's a stuffed leopard-looking, black and white cat. I named her fluffy when I was little. It purred when I shook it, I think it's the most unique thing about it. I got it at the mall when I was between four and five. My Aunt came to visit and we all went together, she bought it for me.(or, I think she did anyway) that thing is the physical form of my childhood, that and Sailor Moon.

What is your most cherished childhood possession? or most cherished in general?

I'm thinking about creating a hybrid. A dolphin-monkey. Half dolphin, half monkey. Do you think it's possible?
I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

I've never really cared for stuffed animals or toys in generally, I had plenty of those but neither one was special to me, they were just toys without any major significance.

To me the most cherished childhood possession is definitely my The Legend of Zelda cartridge for Game Boy, I have it for 12 years and it's in excellent condition, I hope it will stay that way. It represents more than just some ordinary game, it represents a bond between me and my best friend. After unfortunate events he died and the game was left to me. Every time I see it I remember of him, it's my most precious possession and the only thing in my room that isn't allowed to be to touched.

Growing up I loved action figures and I had a huge collection, my most cherished out of em was defineately my He-Man and Skeletor. I still have them and they are in very good condition.

Another possession of mine is my pokemon yellow for the gameboy I have had it since the day it came out and it is still in perfect condition. It is also my favorite out of any of the other games...

Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!

Hahahaha... I still have all of my Polly Pockets. I have a shitload of them. They range from the little compacts that you could carry around with you, to the houses of the Polly Pocket Village. I have the original village, the animal village, and the extension of the original village. Here's some pics, because it's always fun to look at pictures (sorry about the quality. All I have is my webcam... OH and you can see my hand in some of the pics...):
First Picture is of the Polly Pocket Village, with the extension and the Animal Village. I didn't feel like seperating them out. Also, I do have the original playmat that came with the set, but I also did not feel like setting it up.
    SPOILER!!:

Next is of the playsets that I got. Yeah, I do have three of the same one, because I lived in basically 3 different homes when I was younger. One from my dad, one from my mom and one from my Nanny.
    SPOILER!!:

This one is of the compacts that Polly Pocket originated as. Yes. I do have duplicates here as well.:
    SPOILER!!:

Last one. It's a picture of the people that you played with. They're sort of all bunched together, but I assure you that there are a ton of them... Oh and you can see my cat's legs in this one. She loved playing with the people, so I had to hurry and snap the pic before she ran off with one:
    SPOILER!!:

Do I cherish them? Maybe. I wouldn't be sad if they were gone, but I do want to hold on to them because they do represent a lot of my childhood. I used to set up the entire village and have a train go around it. It was pretty awesome.

I also have a collection of Barbies, but I think I was much more of a Polly Pocket fan.

Yeah, I got nothin on this one.

I would always get rid of stuff when I outgrew it, either physically or emotionally, and if there was anything that I absolutely did not want to throw out, I'd put it up in the attic. I'm sure I've got some stuff up there, but I just can't remember what it is.

Currently though, I do have a few things that I would probably cry if they got destroyed.

My bobblehead collection- It's not very big, but I have a handful of bobbleheads that I've gotten at baseball games/ as gifts. I pretty much remember who I was with when I got all of them, and they're just pretty sweet.

My ticket stub wall- Pretty much every time I go to a sporting event/ concert/ etc. I'll take the ticket stub and pop it onto the wall above my bed with some of that sticky tack stuff. I've got maybe 100 tickets over the past 4 years, and I can more or less remember who I was with. I should start writing the scores on the back of them but oh well. It's just a lot of great memories and a lot of great games over the years.

I also have my lucky shot glass. It's not special at all, or remarkable in any way, except that I've had it since junior year of high school, which was a good 6 or so years ago.

The pics are both about 7 months old, and I've added some more tickets/ bobbleheads and I've rearranged a little bit.

Probably my books, as now I'm giving them to Claire. My favourites were "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are" and "My Book About ME!" by Dr Seuss, and "Where The Wild Things Are"

    Holy crap, I loose.

I have a few from the animal village with the pink stoned walkways. The one pink house with the yellow hammock in the front, was my favorite to play with.

I also had a few of the huge mansion ones, I don't remember which set they belonged to, but even when I look at them now, I still think they're cool because they have everything.

I had a couple of the Western themed ones like the bar with the horseshoe in the front. it had a indoor grill and a small attic. I think one of the little characters it came with was a horse haha.

My first one ever was one of the carry ones that you could close. It was the school, the one where the desk come off and they were stamps. I used those so much and they never ran out of ink. I remember the people for that one too there was a "teacher" I guess that was blonde with pigtails, holding chalk, a black guy with a flat top hair style, a red headed girl with freckles, and a blonde girl with short hair that looked like Patty mayonnaise I might be missing one, I think there may have been another guy.

I lost most of the people though when I was little I still have a few though.

It sucks that they changed Polly Pocket, it's so lame now.

I know, right? My 2 cousins (age: 9 and 11) live with us, and when I got my Polly Pockets out, they were like "Wow! What are those?!?!" I said that they were my Polly Pockets, and they didn't believe me. They have a few of the newer ones, so they aren't used to seeing the originals. I had to explain to them that back in my day (Hehehe..I'm so old...) these were what Polly Pockets started as. Don't really know why they were changed. I guess because the little people would be some sort of choking hazard.

I've saved almost all of my drawings from back when I was 7-10. I have a box filled up with 'em. Once in awhile, I'll look through them to inspire myself to draw again. It's nice keeping old drawings around, cause you can look at how terrible you used to draw but also get an insight on what your imagination was like as a kid .

I also have a little teddy bear that I've had since I was born. I named him Beary because I was quite unoriginal at the time, haha. I sleep with him every night ^^.

Che, those pictures are old news, I've had them on my phone for like 2 years now. Sorry brah

As for my most cherished childhood possession, mine would have to be my SNES and Super Mario World, aka the first videogame I've ever played. I still have it in my closet and I occasionally bust it out to play that and a couple of other snes games I have, like Chrono Trigger, and also the Final Fantasies II and III.

I can't remember having a favourite toy if I'm honest. Well, or I don't remember what it was.

    I have loads of stuffed animals from my childhood in boxes. Most of them were passed down from my mother or relatives. Looking at them now, I see my kangaroo which my grandmother brought back with her when she went to Australia when I was about five or six years old. I used to sleep with it every night, and now it just sits and gathers dust. ;-;

I might give them all a clean over the weekend.

    Shortly after 9/11, there were these toy dogs on sale, and the money went towards the victims of that disaster. They were all called Courage. I remember thinking I'd lost him once when we were on a day trip to the beach. Turns out I'd left him in my aunts car. xD;

I guess my Playstation counts too. So many wasted weekends playing Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII... aaaah... <3
