What should the May 2012 Photography Contest's theme be?

Not everyone does or owns these specific things. If we need a category, I pick planes. If not. Then there shouldn't be a theme. Just keep it open.

How about a toilette theme? Everyone I know has seen/owned one...
Seriously, how about artistic piles of junk that build up in your house? Or maybe people's feet? How about current hair-styles of family-members?

If it has to have a theme, then it should be something that could mean something different for everyone. Since it's May, why not have the theme be "What is Spring/Autumn to You?" ? This way, contestants can interpret the theme to be what they want, because in their opinion that is Spring or Autumn (for our Southern Hemisphere members).

For example, Spring could mean kids flying a kite, or a flower garden, or frogs at a pond. Autumn could be the changing of leaves, or a kid jumping in leaves, or anything else Autumn-ish. With a broad theme, it would please everyone in that they interpret it to how they want.

Then, you could have two winners, a Spring and an Autumn one.

My only other suggestion is that any polls for the actual contest not be public. Or multiple choice. I like to choose everything, because I am not picky. Also, keeping the poll so no one can see who voted for who keeps things anonymous. If voters want, they can announce who they voted for in a post.

I think that's a really good idea. It leaves it open to interpretation but it's still a general theme.

Other than that, I don't think there should be a theme at all.

I guess it would be taking one with a digital camera, uploading that pic onto an on-line site account (I use photobucket) and pasting the code for said pic in the submissions thread (whenever that gets started, I'm still waiting) Wanna know in detail? PM me, dude!
