I can't decide if I miss the friends who've abandoned me or if I'm pissed at them and would be resentful if they tried to come back now. I don't feel like I've ever done anything seriously wrong. People just don't like goofballs who aren't into Sports and Pop Culture in the communities I've lived in in my life.

What brought me here today is injustice. In 1799, New York was plagued with a nasty bout of yellow fever stemming from stagnant and contaminated drinking water. A New York senator, Aaron Burr, proposed a bill to congress that would see to the construction of a major water treatment plant to help end the illness. The bill was passed, but before it had a chance to be finalized, Burr changed the document and turned the water treatment plant into a private bank in order to move his own personal finances around the US federal bank established by treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton. The following year, thousands of New York residents died of yellow fever, and the bank that Burr established still exists, and is called JP Morgan Chase.

I had to do dealings with Chase today for work, and I am upset about it, because now I feel like I'm profiteering off of the deaths of all of those people who died of yellow fever. Indirectly, of course, and 218 years in the future, but still, I never forget an injustice. I have come here to seek justice against Aaron Burr for his atrocities, yet I cannot, because like a fucking loser, he died in 1836, and that makes me upset, so the only real thing I can do is rant about it, and this is a perfect irrelevant outlet.

So that's why I'm here.

I didn't know they gave out Mickey Mouse checks. It wasn't even offered. That makes this even more of an outrage.

They have a catalog with custom designs. I think it's like 3.50 more. They were cute, she wanted them and didn't get them. Wasn't worth complaining or ordering more because honestly, who needs a lot of checks.
