What do you like about the fall and winter season?

Not a whole lot actually.
The best parts are the holiday stretch (Thanksgiving- Jan 3rd-ish) and the MLB playoffs and the NFL season. Seeing the leaves turn fiery colors upstate is also pretty amazing, as is the feeling of the first snow of the year.

Other than that, I don't mind the cold, but I absolutely hate the fact that it's dark by 4:30pm. **** that. I also hate shoveling snow, especially when it's to dig your car out of a parking spot.

I think the fall time is pretty nice, it looks really beautiful on campus and is a perfect time to bust out the frisbee football pickup games in the lawn. Those are the days.. Also, football season is up, and that means all kinds of fun on watching the local teams play. Also, this means Homecoming for the schools, which means all kinds of crazy parties that involve lots of great times that I won't remember because of the amounts of alcohol involved.

Winter season is more of a stretch for me to love, I think its all fine and dandy as long as the cold season could be between my birthday (Nov 9th) and New Years eve. After that, no reason for it to be cold whatsoever. I don't mind the snow too much as long as the roads are still driveable, but I do not like all the windy days that the winter brings along with it. I live in Iowa, and even though it isnt as windy as some states (North Dakota comes to mind), it still gets really cold and brings the windchill factor waaay to low for my tastes. However, I do like when school gets cancelled because of it, so its more of a double-edged sword then anything. Other then that, the only other thing I like about winter is the holiday seasons, as thanksgiving, christmas and new years are my favorite holiday celebrations.
