I never used to be it used to take me 30mins to get out of bed haha but now usually depending on the night before I can get up straight away.

I guess it has to do with the fact that I enjoy where I work now and didn't before.

Since I never sleep, when it comes down to me HAVING to go to be at a specific time it never happens. I always have my alarm on the floor next to my bed. It's one of my old phones although, it's so old that the charger has a hard time working...I usually have to sit there for 15 min or more moving the chord and trying to get it to charge, but it's the only thing that actually wakes me up D:

Anyways, I wouldn't say I'm a morning person since that's when I usually sleep but I think I just got used to feeling like crap in the morning, that it's expected now, so I'm still pretty good at forcing myself out of bed ie rolling myself on the floor to get up. My work shifts are usually early in the morning anyway so I have to.

EDIT: by the title, I thought this thread had something to do with guys and surprises they find in their pants in the morning. yay surprises!

I just wanna stay in bed until double digits, and not be up and about at 6am (bloody kids), it takes me about an hour to fully wake up tho, I just kinda sit in the livingroom half asleep waiting for my oldest to wake up so I can sort both kids breakfast out a the same time.

I have the ability to wake up in the morning at any time I feel fit. I'm not one of those people who wakes up, only to fall back asleep. If I know I have something to do that morning, when I'm awake, I stay awake. However, I'm incredibly tired every single morning, especially since my allergies have been affecting my sleep pattern, and therefore I have to force myself to do even the simplest of tasks, such as talking, or walking, or moving in general.

I set an alarm, but my internal alarm clock, or the need to pee, or cottonmouth, wakes me up before it goes off. I can't even remember the last time I actually heard my alarm, which is especially good for me, considering that it's the number one most annoying sound I can possibly think of. The sound makes me want to projectile vomit, but I don't projectile vomit, because then I would need to clean it up, and since the smell of vomit would cause me to vomit more, it would never get clean. Therefore, if I hear my alarm, there is the possibility that my room will be completely covered in vomit.

I am not a morning person. I never was in my whole entire life. My parents even say that they hated waking me up to go to school when I was little because I would be so grouchy. Hey, I'm a girl who loves to sleep in.

I definitely have to set an alarm if I need to be ready at a certain time, and be somewhere. I'm addicted to the snooze button though. Once my alarm goes off, I mentally tell myself "Eh... ten more minutes wouldn't hurt", and then I go back to sleep. Alarm goes off again, I hit snooze again. I do this about 5 times before I actually decide to get up.

So, yep. Not a morning person in the slightest way.

I'm a morning person-ish. I wake up at a normal time according to my parents, 6, and when I sleep in till like 10 they give me hell, so I've learned to function like a robot in the wee hours lol so I'm not pissy, sleepy, but nor am I ecstatic about waking up

I am a morning person. I love the morning and getting up... Though sometimes when I don't get enough sleep I tend to be quite the bother to wake up... Whenever I'm at my dad's on a weeknight I always have to get up at 6:30 to get to school, and I enjoy it... but I'm also a night person and don't enjoy going to sleep so often I just sleep in to catch up on my sleeping hours...

With me, it depends. I generally have difficulty sleeping, so I do like to sleep in. My bed is always more comfortable in the mornings than it is when I actually go to bed, so I get more sleeping done between 6am to 11am. After I've slept in, I'm pretty okay to get of bed in a good mood.

If I've slept well, I can get up early without any problems. Despite my alarm not going off when I needed it to this morning at 6:30am, I was out of bed at 7:30am feeling pretty good. In fact... I was the only person in the flat who was in a good mood. ^^;

If I've not slept well, you can bet I won't be happy. Usually, I'm happy again about an hour or two after I got up, mainly because I've found something else to do, or have gone to college and met my friends.

i am not a morning person. first off i dislike the sun. it's too bright. secondly, i am always tired in the morning. thirdly, i dont eat in the morning before i go to school so i wait until i get home at 3:45. my mornings suck Major Ass.

My sleeping pattern is kinda delicate tbh, if I get less than 5 hours or more than 7 hours of sleep, then I am lethargic all day which really sucks when I have work later on that day since I am not in the mood to keep up with the kids lol. I wouldn't say I'm a morning person, because thats when school is going on. Usually by the time I get out of class I feel great, so you could say I'm a noon/early afternoon person.

You know, the tittle of this thread is really deceiving, ah what the heck I'll respond anyways. Never had problems waking up early in the morning no matter how much I slept, as soon as alarms sounds of I'll be on my feet, though I wouldn't call myself a morning person.

Besides the fact that I'm really grouchy when I wake up I'm also very clumsy, need to wait at least 5-10 minutes just to get hold of myself.

I have become a morning person. I am up at 5:30 am working out. I have no other choice but to be a morning person. I go to school at 9am. My whole day happens in the morning. After 12 my day starts to wind down. I have a afternoon workout, then after that it is ass sitting time. I catch up on T.V. shows, or play games.

Oh yeah. After my first workout a nice hot cup of Chamomile tea is always nice. Kind of a daily ritual for me.

I have never been a morning person, and my grandparent's would have to fight me every morning to get up to go to school. I even have to fight myself nowadays to get up by noon!

That depends, if I woke up with the right amount of sleep that is. Most of the time I can get up, and start doing whatever I have to do. If I get to much sleep, I usually have to lie around a bit.

Edit: The one thing I hate about not waking up in the morning. (You don't get an afternoon, or evening wood!)

If I need to wake up, I can wake up. If I don't really need to wake up, I will fall back asleep. It sucks when I wanted to get up earlier in the day and get something done, and instead I wake up at like 12:30 or almost 1.

I am no morning person. I enjoy the sunrise and coffee, but I hate being tired. I am generally more irritable-though it doesn't always show. Unless someone is annoying me. In a tired state, I am actually more inclined to mouth off at someone.

The other day, I had to get up, and one of the kids my roommates always babysits pointed at me and said "OOoh!" I don't know what inspired it, but I found it amusing. Anyhoo...

Anyway, I hate mornings. I often have to drag my sorry ass out of bed by the thought of a nice cup of tea (English stereotype much?). Most of the time I can barely see and my walking is little more than a zombie shuffle towards the kettle. I'm much better in summer than winter though.

On uni days, yes. And 95% of the time I wake up to it. There has been the odd occasion of sleeping in though. Normally the night after a very heavy physical endurance lesson of taekwon-do.

Normally a slow starter, although on odd occasions i'll be fine. Normally when I get to uni i'm fine as I have a little walk to get there, which helps me wake up, and I normally have a second cuppa before class.

I'm not a morning person by choice but I usually end up awake at what is to me the ungodly early hours of the morning. If I'm working a day shift I set my alarm for 6:15. I usually wake up just before it goes off. 50-50 as to whether I turn the alarm off before it starts going off. Sometimes I'll just lay in bed for awhile but then I'm prone to fall back asleep so...I try not to do that.

If I'm working night I don't set my alarm but I'm still usually up well before 8:00. In most cases the cat wakes me up because my mom's alarm next door woke him up and as soon as he's awake he's hungry. So he wakes me up to demand breakfast. Usually I ignore him for awhile but he never stops meowing until I'm up anyways.

So I grab my coffee and breakfast and check email/forums/etc, get dressed, go to the gym and then my day's officially started. I'm more awake when I work out in the mornings, but I know at least some of my sluggishness comes from the fact that I absolutely loathe my job.

Defiantly not. I have set 2 alarms for the morning. One on my mobile which is usually next to me when i wake up. But i also have an alarm clock on the other side of the room which i have to get out of bed to switch off...

I'm a pretty slow starter on most days.. It's usually about 30mins after I've had my tea that I'm "awake"

I have also on occasion fallen asleep during lectures when I haven't had any breakfast. I have to bug my friends to pick me up from home as well sometimes because I can't drive for shit in the morning.. especially when i haven't had any breakfast & have had a late night.

As a nightshift worker I generally go to bed in the morning.
Means I never have to deal with a shitty morning (though I'm at the point where my night vision is better than my day vision unless wearing a good pair of sunglasses).

I just wake up whenever I feel like it (though sometimes I don't sleep at all some days) and it kind of suits my lifestyle. The only time I'm ever forced to wake up is when surprised with a last minute extra shift, but that doesn't happen too often most of the time.

I despise mornings. Most days of the week I get up at 2pm and go to bed at 6am. I just like the night, it's quiet and relaxing.

I think alot of it has to do with school. Around here from 5th grade to senior year school starts at 7:15am. And the bus picked us up at 6:45. With having to get ready and all I would wake up at 6am. And they say kids will get past being up so early just cause they're kids....now that's bullshit.

I don't see why people want to get up so early. It's not as hot as it should be so you always wake up cold, nothing good is on tv. You can't call friends cause usually they don't want to be bothered so early. And you always have the possibility of hitting morning traffic. I don't see it.
