    VHEMT: Agree, or not?

    VHEMT

Do you agree with what this site says? Personally, I don't. I understand the goal is to keep the Earth unpolluted and etc, and I like that goal, but the way they're doing it isn't exactly uhh...something I agree with. I can give details on why I say this but I can't word it at the moment.. Maybe some other time, or some other member might be able to word it for me.

But yeah. What are your opinions?

The above could be called the Terrorist Human Extermination Movement (THEM), but that's labeling and encourages a "Them or Us" attitude.

VHEMT is opposed to what these people are doing, but it's doubtful any would bother to return the favor. Really, there isn't much point in opposing a voluntary movement which harms none and benefits all.

I can't help notice that VHEMT is THEM with a V. Vigilant Human Extermination Movement Terrorists mayhaps?

My personal opinion is that they seem peaceful if a little weird. I mean seriously, caring for the planet is good and all, but causing our own extinction? What's the point of saving the world if we ourselves as humans cannot enjoy it? From a Christian viewpoint there's that God created this world for us, and from the view point of a non-believer, self destruction is an end so why is it to be welcomed like that?

But if they want to die out, they can be my guests. I really couldn't care if they leave their genes behind or not. All the power to them.

Meh, they have a point. Are we worthy of a world/life we are killing? They are right in that aspect, but... jeese... No no no!

Instead of stopping the breeding process - or just killing ourselves - to cause human extinction, we should be putting right what we put wrong. There are different ways to live without killing the planet - but there is the stubbon little sh*t who don't give a damn, and refuses to live a little different.

Keeping lights off during the day with the curtains open can save little, but its saving energy. Wearing an extra layer in winter instead of having the heating up. Un-plugging appliances during the night when they aren't being used, and/or turn of the mains. Use special light bulbs... Some people are happy to do it and others just are to lazy.

Yeah this VHEMT crap is a little... extream, but they do have a little point. I don't agree with their method, but... Do you get what i'm saying?

These must be the same kinds of people who'd kill a human being to save an animal in its natural habitat. People who put everything else (animals, trees, the earth) above themselves just so they can make themselves feel better. This is not very different from what many villains from cartoons/anime/movies have tried to do, talking about "how humans are unworthy of this or that", so they decide to destroy the world or simply try to destroy every human on the planet. They're so deluded with hatred for their own species that they can't find any other solution other than inciting a genocide. Not only that, but they probably let one little tiny fact fly right past them; the earth will survive even if the human race will go on a rampage! Survival is the earth's middle name, so no matter what we humans do to it, it'll be fine by itself. It has everything it needs to survive, so killing ourselves won't make a damn bit of difference.

In the end, these people are definitely insane. No one is going to voluntarily help them go through with this "movement", which in fact will most likely be torn apart by the media itself. The only thing they offer is the destruction of freewill and our overall freedom because they're whining about the earth.

In the words of Greg Gutfeld (Red Eye on FoxNews), "You sir, are worse than hitler."

Agreed. We NEED to do something about climate change and pollution, but there has to be boundaries as to what we do. On the news recently, London Mayor Boris Johnson was being criticised for taking holidays abroad, when apparently, members of parliament should be taking holidays on the home turf to encourage others to do the same in order to cut down on climate change. Seriously.... that's retarded. We need to cut down on carbon emissions, but you can't imprison people in their own countries. If somebody prevented me from taking a holiday abroad for those reasons, I'd immediately set fire to a tire.

I think people fail to realise that we ARE becoming more and more green. We're recycling much more than we used to, and more and more companies are doing what they can to remove their carbon footprint. Okay, not everybody is, but I hate it when people act as though nobody is concerned about the environment. The measures we are currently taking are nowhere near enough, granted. But they DO exist and ARE improving. Just slowly.

Trying to get people to breed less is just stupid. If you can put the effort into promoting such a campaign, you may as well direct the effort into convincing people to cease/reduce the actual activity causing climate change in the first place, because telling people to not breed will be a lot harder.

    Back. For a while. Maybe.

I can't help but be slightly amused by the site, because its a bit far-fetched in my opinion. People die too and at more rapid rates. Something more effective for helping the world become a better place, prevent Hollywood and any of their equally non-intelligent counterparts from ever having the ability to reproduce. And don't ever let Paris Hilton have a child. Ever.
