Agreed. We NEED to do something about climate change and pollution, but there has to be boundaries as to what we do. On the news recently, London Mayor Boris Johnson was being criticised for taking holidays abroad, when apparently, members of parliament should be taking holidays on the home turf to encourage others to do the same in order to cut down on climate change. Seriously.... that's retarded. We need to cut down on carbon emissions, but you can't imprison people in their own countries. If somebody prevented me from taking a holiday abroad for those reasons, I'd immediately set fire to a tire.
I think people fail to realise that we ARE becoming more and more green. We're recycling much more than we used to, and more and more companies are doing what they can to remove their carbon footprint. Okay, not everybody is, but I hate it when people act as though nobody is concerned about the environment. The measures we are currently taking are nowhere near enough, granted. But they DO exist and ARE improving. Just slowly.
Trying to get people to breed less is just stupid. If you can put the effort into promoting such a campaign, you may as well direct the effort into convincing people to cease/reduce the actual activity causing climate change in the first place, because telling people to not breed will be a lot harder.
