You could not like either, but then you just get weird looks and an awkward silence when someone has asked you which one you'd prefer. It's the most fundamental of workplace/meeting-your-girlfriends'-parents-for-the-first-time dichotomies.

I don't drink either. If I can't have a glass of water, then I think I would rather die of thirst than have either tea or coffee. My parents drink both, my sister drinks tea, and my brother drinks both. I think that both taste horrible.

My brother drinks the canned tea from Lipton (I think it's called Brisk). Mainly because he is too lazy to make some and then wait for it to cool.

I grew up on Kool-aid, and still drink it now. But water has always been my favorite thing. I really don't care about the looks people give or the weird moments of silence either. Let them stare in wonder!

Definitely a tea person. Coffee, actually anything with strong presence of caffeine gives me a headache and makes me wanna puke. As for what kind of tea, I prefer mint tea with lots of sugar, and honey.

Tea and coffee are both faggy drinks. People sitting around drinking soup out of a cup isn't civilized or proper. It's just retarded. The reason why unretarded people eat soup with a spoon instead of drinking it out of a cup is to lessen the chance of burning your tongue. And because they're not complete homos.

Though not all hot drinks are faggy. I like microwaving cans of diet soda. Hot soda and a metallic taste is just something too awful to pass up.

I'm a tea person, although I'll drink coffee too if tea isn't an option. But I prefer tea. I leave the bag in the cup for about five minutes, strain it, add my two sugars and a small amount of milk. If we have cream in the house, I'll use a little bit of cream - makes for a lovely, creamy tea. I also like green tea - it makes me feel better if I feel sick or bloated.

As for coffee, I like a weak one. Nothing too strong though. I love a good cappuccino, with the froth on the top and chocolate powder. Yum.

Nothing beats a tea though.

As much a conisure of soda as I thought I was, I've never tried that...but am strangly tempted.

As a young lad growing up in the south, Sweet Tea is one of the things you can find in every refrigorator. I however, do not like it... Warm tea? The kind the English drink? No...I don't drink that either.

Coffee I will drink, but only with a ridiculous load of creamer and sugar. (Coffee really messes with my stomach though so I generally avoid it...)

I hardly ever drink coffee and I only drink tea with arrowroot cookies (I call them baby cookies because of the baby picture on the front).

Usually I go for the tea though. 1 milk, 2 sugar. I started doing that when I got a sore throat and didn't want a double shot of milk in my tea. I liked the taste so I stuck with it. That was over a year ago. Plus it's really easy to make myself. All i need to do is boil water, put the bag in and get everything else ready as it it boils. Sometimes I wonder why I go to Tim Hortons every morning if it's so easy to make. Especially now because they raised the prices again to compete with Starbucks.

Tea for me, every time I need caffeine anyway. Coffee is too deceptive. It smells great when it's brewing, and makes you think it's going to be the most wonderful tasting thing you've ever had, but when you take a swig...BITTER! Sugar and cream/milk can only mask it so much, but you're still left with the horrible nastiness of the aftertaste.

I like my tea iced and sweet, sometimes flavored too, like peach or cranberry. Mmmm~ ^^

EDIT: As for Hot Chocolate, I've always get the instant stuff that you add water to.

I drink my coffee black, and it's enjoyable to me. But if I had to pick one to drink for the rest of my life, I'd go with tea. More variety. Btw, those of you who have only tried Lipton's various abominations are missing out. Tea is amazing.

I agree with IdiotWithHair. Coffee DOES scald the mouth SO MUCH BETTER than tea. Yeah, I like iced teas and such, but if I want something to wake me up in the morning, tea just isn't strong enough. I'm a voracious drinker of both, but I choose tea because one, what Ally said, variety. There's a good variety of coffee as well but most of them have a lot of extra crap added unless you like different flavored plain coffee beans. Second, it's better for you in a way. Coffee can fark you up if you drink it too often and in mass amounts...I would know. I definitely feel better chugging gallons of tea than coffee.

Long story short, I feel guilty drinking coffee on a regular basis.

Oh and tea doesn't make my breath do the MC Hammer dance.

Tea just has this weird taste in my mouth...and so does coffee. Unless the coffee came from Starbucks then I'll have a White Chocolate Mocha with either a shot of Peppermint or Irish Cream.

I drink coffee freely, preferably latte from Starbucks or McDonald's, but I can't stand tea. That said, I have recently discovered Chai tea, which I can stomach without sugar or even milk, as it is so sweet. The Chai Tea latte that Starbucks do tastes a lot like the Gingerbread latte they come out with at Christmas.
