Heya! Hows development going?

I said before that I'd like to help, but didn't know
what I could do. I don't suppose I could help out with bits of the story, and maybe a few additional characters, could I?

Could I also be in the game?

Class: Mysterious Shadow Dancer
Weapon: Twin Silver Blades, and mind powers
Armor: Light, changeable armor (black, with silver patterns)
Look: Paine like, but with long black hair, and less pointy facail parts. A small locket around the neck which says i may have had a saddened past, and a long black cloak, that don't make me look too man like - sexy in other words lol!
Stats: I'd like to have high Strength, Speed and Agility, with lotsa health.

Okay, for anyone who has read my journal, they'll know that I'm halting progress on the RPG for the moment. I'm not saying I'm quitting it. I will work on it again, and the project is certaintly not cancelled. I'm just going to stop working on it for an unknown period of time. Well, okay, not entirely unknown. I'll be working on this thing again somewhere in the next three weeks. So, yep. Real life got in the way, hehe. Character requests are not being accepted for the moment, but you are still free to post ideas in here.

Ok I gots smore ideas about some starting level bosses.

This could be a mission objective boss:

Name: Ghost Whisper

Bio: The spirits of who has not passed over draw in and assimilates this creature. Rumors say that this poltergist was never truly evil but the unpassed spirits that gather within it were bent on hate and revenge, causing this ghost to have no mercy on it's victims.

Name: Grudger
Type: Undead
HP:375
MP:55
Bio: A Knight that died by an opposing kingdom. He vowed that they would be killed off, even if it he had to come from the grave to do it. So now he preys on anybody that crosses his path..... Even you!

Name: Jr. Magius
Type: Spellcaster
HP: 125
MP: 75
Bio: A black mage under training. He's kinda weak.........

Name: Sr. Magius
Type: Spellcaster
HP: 325
MP: 150
Bio: This is the real deal! Knowledgable in the arts of Black magic, he is the mentor to his son.

Pretty much that's all i have in the noggin but I will spring up smore iders later on this week. Lemme know if they're any use to you !

Well, I'm back, and I'm gonna update the Contributors list now as I haven't done so yet. Progress on the RPG is back! Woo! Rocky, you're accepted, and Aerif, your FaceSets have won. And so that leaves us with...

a wiki page for the RPG. No, I refuse to use Wikipedia, obviously. Expect some more info coming from this "Unknown Page"...

Oh and by the way? Character requests are now officially CLOSED unless I find I need more characters. So please, stop sending them in.

By the Way, Secret Weapon, sure, I'll use your bosses/monsters. Though expect that not all will be used. I'll ask you if I need more, okay?

EDIT: Yes, for smart people, the unknown page is at the OldBean Wiki. However, it is not available as of the moment. Of course though, you can create the page yourself, or edit it before I do. Take notice though, that if I've already made the page, don't even bother coming to edit it unless there are spelling errors or anything grammatical that is wrong.

EDIT2: Submissions are open again. Only if you're a club leader or want to be a special NPC though. If you're a club leader it means you're asking to have your club joinable in the RPG too.

Yeah, Member VS Member will be included. Via...

...THE MISSIONS FEATURE. You can do missions to have some fun, for the sake of completion, get some rare items, and etc. Levelling up extra, too. That said, you can also do Club Wars if you enlist your Club as a joinable in the RPG. If you don't want your club to be battled, tell me about it.

Of course its nothing to insult clubs. Just for fun.

And yes I will upload a video eventually. I've made a few but they're not official ones. So, just wait so you see the many features!

I'll also release a hard mode version of the RPG as well. But when downloaded, when you play it will eventually ask you to input a password. You get that password sometime in the original RPG. Don't ask. They're not even out yet.

Another edition is...not being able to save your game!

WOAH, Zero, what the hell are you saying!? Well uh, you can save actually. Just your average fan game's "Save Your Game Anywhere" feature is gone. Yes, we now also use save points! In the form of but, a Save Point called SaveNathan. Nothing special. Go check out Silver's art topic and look for a sig/avatar that shows himself as a sprite. Thats basically SaveNathan.

When to expect a official demo? I dunno. Lets wait and see how it goes.

EDIT: TFF RPG has a third video release! This is an official release considering I'm posting it here. However please do understand that its not a trailer so don't expect it to be holy. Its just a cutscene between Silver and the...Mods!? With no sound BTW. For some reason HyperCam won't record with sound. I've even got the option enabled. And Windows Movie Maker doesn't work for crap for some reason. Until some time in the distant future, most vids won't have sound, me thinks.

Fellow Mods, please do not get insulted by this. Think of yourselves as the TFF version of the Turks.

Sadly though this first encounter with the Mods is only Oskar claiming that the Mods know better and etc...shame the more funny members aren't around yet. *hint hint*

And yes. I didn't ask OceanEyes to make her lines. I just did minor ones for her considering she wasn't going to say much. I only ask lines for major cutscenes. Such as this. (And blimey, it was fun watching you and Oskar act, Silver. ^^)

TFF RPG - Silver's Reasoning On Why Mods Suck

During Silver's "Silver Tongue" joke, a bit of dialogue is missing. Hes meant to say something about Oskar's "Rusty Silver Tongue". Not just a Silver Tongue.

One suggestion. If you're going to make us mods into something like the Turks, really go all the way with it. I'm not offended if you make us into baddies, but I will be offended if you make us into inept baddies. Or perhaps we can all be misunderstood and lovable and Silver's just an asshole.

Also, that file you have is a bit old. I sent the fixed one, just in case it needs a bit more of fixing, but it has to deal with the sudden change of clothing when my character switched sides. From a white lab coat to a fancy gray coat? Check that shared folder, Bean; I placed the fixed one there. Or, you can just ask me and I'll put it via Photobucket or direct-link it.

Though, more than the Turks, I suddenly realized: Mods are like the Judges of this world. Came that to mind during work. The main difference is no fancy armor.

Dexterity: High

Ability: Sacrifices one point of a random stat per battle to increase the rate of critical hits for physical/magic attacks


Class Name: General
HP: High/Moderate
MP: Low/None
Vitality: High

Ability: Uses up a turn to stock the number of times he can attack


Class Name: Analyst
HP: Moderate/low
MP: High/ Very Moderate
Spirit: High

Ability: Detects what magic element and status ailment the enemy is less vulnerable against.

Class Name: Striker
HP: Moderate
MP: Moderate/None
Dexterity: High/Above Moderate
Attack: Above Moderate

Ability: Counterattacks the enemy multiplied by the number of times they've attacked him.

Yeah.... pretty much this is all I could think of! I'll have s'more later this weekend. Hope this helps ^_^!

I could be a baddie. Maybe a bad guy that pops up every once in a while, kinda like the Turks from FF7. Anyways, here's some stats.

Name: Dak'Thar
Race: Orc
Class: Warrior
Age: 32
Height: 5 feet tall or 1.53 meters
Build: stout/heavy/muscular
Preferred weapon: 2H axe, or 1H axe and shield
Special Ability(s): Attacks sometimes ignore a certain percentage of armor, or a critical strike boosts speed for a certain number of turns, or a cirtical strike gives immunity to magic spells (including healing spells) for a certain number of turns. Or a combination of those.

This is just an idea I had of maybe a recurring boss. Each time the boss is encountered he gets stronger and the amount of turns that his special ability(s) last goes higher as well. My idea spawns from my love of World of Warcraft if you haven't already noticed. Anyways, use it, trash it, it's just an idea.

Clearly one of the admins are sickos by just leaving their magazines lying around somewhere, or somebody decided to embarass the admin! Wait...of course. This magazine unlocks a mission. Find out yourselves when the demo gets released...in the distant future.

This is just something to keep you company while I work on the RPG a bit more. Noting again, no one is becoming a main character unless I sent an invite and let them post here. Although if you meet the requirements I edited into my first post, you can join anytime. Noting on another thing, progress on the RPG may slow down once I start school again. It may or may not slow down, but, eh. Thought I'd mention that. Anyhoo, enjoy.

Either you may have someone with good talent make a spriteset/charset for your character, AND battlesets, OR you can just be cheap like the rest of us and use Charas Generator. ^^;

I was wondering...both the specific member boss battles and the complex battle scene animations are still covered? I haven't seen any improvement in that area...

I presume that for Mod/S-Mod/Admin battles, you'll probably use the boss sprites, as if the Mods had transformation powers (much like Breath of Fire did for the Dark Dragon boss characters). I hope it's otherwise, but I can't seem to ask much. All I know is Charas Project doesn't seem to be useful for certain characters (*coughhackwheezemeforexamplecoughcoughhack*), and given that using another program aside from Charas will seem to break uniformity...

Perhaps I'm overthinking it... Go Aerif Go!!!
