I don't think it is going too far, just far enough to keep everyone out of trouble. Your wedding shouldn't be ruined because of someone's opinion on how you spent your hen night.

I've never been to one, and I probably won't until my hen do (if I ever get that far that is). So I don't really have an opinion on them. I guess as long as everything remains "clean" in them, as in no kind of prostitution, then they are good in my book.
