There's somewhat a strange tradition in place I live in, on St. Ivan day we make a small fire and jump over it later on. When it reaches it's end we stomp barefoot on the ashes left behind. It's supposed to serve for health purposes, at least's that's what the older folks say, I don't really care, the only thing I know, it's fun to jump over a fire.

The idea for this thread occurred to me early this evening as I lit a huge fire, don't worry no one's hurt, it's just we had extra hay we didn't know what to do with. Anyway I was just wondering. is there some sort of strange tradition you participate in, it doesn't have to be religious, maybe something you've come up with and stick with it regularly, or just something that runs in your family.
