Plain cheese pizza. You don't need anything else if it's done right.

Nothing beats it, especially from Grimaldi's in Brooklyn. Or Dani's or Alba's in Queens. Or even Famous Joe's down by Bleecker. And yes, I've been severely spoiled in my time.

I really can't eat Domino's or any other fast food pizza; there's no care involved and the ingredients are definitely not top quality. Up in Binghamton, it's just terrible. Even the little shops don't get it right when it comes to the dough or anything. It just comes off tasting very artificial, like cardboard or something.

On a side note, I like to go and try different styles of pizza in different cities, just to see just how much they differ. It's actually pretty interesting. I actually like the Old Forge (Northeast Pennsylvania) style quite a bit, though "white pizza" in that style is too much like a calzone. Still good though.

This article is actually very interesting about the regional differences in the US.

    You are exactly right.

Whilst, for most part, I've got no real problem with eating take away pizza's, there are a lot made in supermarkets that when you warm up taste like they were thrown together, and quite literally, they are. It's depressing. I see so many pizza's that look down trodden. Sad...

I'd agree with Pete on that. I can't really eat fast-food pizzas, either. Unless I'm just hungry and lazy... which happens a lot.

In St. Louis I generally just order Imo's pizza, though there's a variety of "high-quality" places I keep hearing about in the area I've been intending to try. Imo's is a franchise place doing "St. Louis style" (which just means thin, crispy crust) that used to be absolutly AMAZING but their ingredients have gotten really cheap lately, from the sauce to the cheese blend, and the cooks in most of the franchises have gotten horrible at giving a shit. Damn high schoolers.....

Like most other kinds of food, as long as it has plenty of cheese and meat, I'm happy. Give me a meat and cheese packed pizza any day. I hate most other things that you can put on pizza, such as mushrooms, pineapple, olives, and anchovies. Bleh. I can't stand them. It's not even the same if I pick them off. ><
Meat and cheese... now I'm hungry. -_-
