We've gone and bought ourselves a Tibetan Mastiff puppy... Kitty Purry sadly got stolen back in the Fall after she ran out the back door and hid before anyone could grab her. We put up tons of flyers with a cash reward, but they were all torn down within 2 days. Penny got really depressed over it- she was only getting up to eat and use the bathroom, -maybe- playing for an hour or so unless we took her to the beach or something. Most of the time, she slept.

So we got Porkchop. You know your dog is spoiled when you buy her a puppy brother XD .. My fiance and I had been dying to have another giant breed, though. He grew up with a TM in the Philippines and we each had Newfoundlands in the past, so we knew what we were getting ourselves into.

He just got his last round of booster shots today, and he's now 46 lbs. He'll be 4 months old on the 13th. He's such a sweet boy. He's extremely attached to Penny. He absolutely -hates- going on walks (or going anywhere period) without her. He drags behind until he realizes we're almost home, then he perks up and runs ahead to get back to her. When they're walked together, he -has- to walk right beside her. He'll even try to lean against her when it's cold to help keep her warm. He loves the snow and rain (he'll stay in the backyard all day long and sleep in it haha), already housebroken, and knows quite a few tricks. Eventually we'll put him in training classes and get him certified to be my fiance's service dog. But for now, we're really focused on getting him socialized as much and as often as possible to help minimize his protective instincts when we're out in public with him. He's doing really good so far!


tl;dr We got a new puppers and he looks like a little bear cub.

SPOILER!!:

I am the proud grandpoppy of five orphan puppies. Luca gave birth three weeks ago, but then got sick and passed away two weeks ago. She was only 7 years old. The grandpuppies looks so much like her, and have all of her specific markings, white tips on their tails, and a white spot on the back of their neck. One puppy in particular looks exactly like she did when she was a puppy.

So far, four have found homes when they become old enough to be given away. I am hoping to soon own the place I live in, so I will be able to take the last one, and keep a piece of Luca with me.

We took Porkchop to the dog park for the first time on Saturday after he got his last round of booster shots.

Naturally, he played in the big mud puddle and eventually laid down in it. XD

That Great Dane, I sometimes babysit him. He lives right around the corner from me just a couple of houses down and he -loves- coming over to play. He's very attached to me. I hadn't seen him in a little while, so he was super excited to see me and the puppies there. They all played in the mud puddle and made a huge mess of themselves lmao...

It took me a good 30 minutes to get all the dirt and dirty water rinsed out of Porkchop's fur and even after we got him washed and blow dried, we still had to brush his fur out really good to get the last bits out. Kind of a nightmare, really, but we didn't mind. He had a blast and did very well with all the other dogs that were there, and that's all that matters.

I have a Fern named Ferny Furnier that was given to me last November, as well.

Honourable mention goes to Sexy* Cat and Bella Cat, the cutest couple in the world, whom I cannot find pics of on this computer (Dinah is their adoptive mother and she's kind of abusive, but they get along better than she does with Wes).

*His name was Spooky when my nephew got him, because his folks couldn't exactly send an 8 year old to school telling his teachers that his cat was named Sexy, however,
my sis informed me of his proper name

I have a cat. She is such a cat. She's about 7 years old now, and I've had her for about half that time. She was with some friends most of the time that I was in the Air Force. She flew out to Arkansas with me for the last few months that I was there, and then drove back with me to Oregon. She actually behaves herself pretty well when traveling, though she does NOT like her travel bag anymore. I took her to the vet yesterday, and putting her in, she immediately began yowling. Once I got her outside though, she stopped. Essentially, she just deals with it, most of the time. Unless it's being a bit hungry. Then she starts yelling at me and tearing my shit up, until I feed her

I also noticed for the first time today that Roskin the potted plant is dying :/ I gave him some emergency water and pruning, I just hadn't noticed my sis didn't take him with her when she moved out
