What are some things that you absolutely refuse to talk about?

For me it's religion & politics. Religion because I live in the Bible Belt and a lot of my opinions usually offend someone - the few times I've let loose and talked about it. And politics, I generally have no opinion on other than the system is all jacked up.

In-Person: I have few times when I'm not in control of conversation, seeing I have a simple monopoly on supply and demand. The only times I exercise my veto on talk is when it is pressured. I'm not a very talkative person. As a fair representative of that group, I can tell you this is often caused by someone, whom, despite their eagerness to be loved, will simply not shut the **** up. I do not respond well to being pressured towards speech, nor do I like people who suffer from "Pressure of Speech". So quite often I will walk away from some of my more multiloquent acquaintances in medias-res.


Online: I don't have a "no-no" topic. I dislike talking to people about sports, metaphysics/religion, politics and ethics/meta-ethics/morals. I dislike arguments that end in a face-off with people, their delusions and whatever they've tacked their egos to. If it's friendly and laid-back, then I do not particularly mind discussing anything.

ditto, im the same way, i like to keep to myself and shut people out if they get too clingy and annoying :s probably because it happened to me in past experiences, so now i do it to others to protect myself

Oh yeah. Feelings. Those I don't like talking about either unless it's Feelings of Anger or Annoyance and then I'm like "I hate you, you're stupid, don't talk to me ever again."

I absolutely will not speak to anybody about my film-flam. My flim-flam is my own personal business, and I hate when people bring it up, but they always do. It makes me so angry that I just want to show them the red right hand of Eastwood.

I also will not talk about the weather. Weather is fickle and arrogant, and will change on a whim. The weather is a fancy-pants faggot, and I want nothing to do with it.
