Ninja? or Black ops soldier?

This is my first official thread. Tell me if it's uninteresting.
I watched this crazy violent movie called Ninja Assassin (loved most of it) and I got to thinking: I wonder who would win if one of those guys were up against, say, a modern day black ops member. My family being ridiculously ninja-biased, I knew asking them that question would get the inevitable answer "Ninjas of course, where's your brain?" I guess it must be at modern day, with guns and all that.
So I tailored the test a tad. which one would be more likely to keep a girlfriend? The silent spy? The trained gunman?
What do you think?

Umm, well personally, I would go for the black-ops type as most likely to win a fight. I would love to think a Ninja would win, but in this day and age bullets can travel faster than even the fastest man.

Which would hold a girlfriend longer? Well, I'd go for the Ninja because of the mysterious and dangerous type, but since I'm a guy, that doesn't count. This is probably totally stereotypical, but I don't care because it matches every soldier I have ever met, and that is that they are usually quite cocky, boastful about their masculine achievements and totally obsessed with being butch, and they are possibly more likely to cheat in a relationship. Ninja would hold a girlfriend longer, IMO.

^That's probably the most logical response. But the question is kind of vague as in do you mean just which one would be able to hold a relationship and/or attract a girlfriend or which could keep the girl longer?

I don't even know about jelly... Ninja's are sexier (IMO) so going solely by shallow preference I vote Ninja. However, if we're talking longevity I second che's answer. Pardon me if this is a ramble, wtf o'clock has that effect on me.

You ever watched the movie. The only thing that can kill another ninja is another ninja. The ninja's you see in movies typically defy most of the basic laws that most of us follow. Enhanced speed, strength, shadows blending, etc. Ninja's move so quick you can't see. Even your most well trained Black Ops soldier has no chance. Maybe if he fought a real ninja from feudal times he would win. They have no special skills really haha other than being trained to fight.

*chuckle* no reason! (really, I just haven't met any. Black ops training is nowhere in my neighborhood and shinoichi wouldn't be seen at all, now would they?)
I personally think the ninja WOULD NOT keep the girl. Even as boastful/butch/annoying the black ops guys are, or are thought to be, the ninja is a spy. A SPY. He'll be sneakin' up on her all the time, she'll never know when he's going to show up. He'll probably want to know every little detail about her so he can sense any changes beforehand, maybe even, dare I say it - go through her garbage! she'll be a nervous wreck by the first month. I mean, a girl needs some space, right?
As for the battle, I want to see all versions of that.

This thread's original idea reminded me of a show on SPIKE TV called "Deadliest Warrior". They put experts on historical fighters/styles together and talk about who would win in a fight. I never watched an actual episode, but I did see the previews for a few episodes. They would have things like a Shaolin Monk against a Samurai Warrior. They even did an episode on specific weapons, where they compared the damage an axe made to a human body against that of a sword.

In regards to your actual question, I don't really know. The Ninja offers mystery, which I hear women like, but I don't think they bring much else to the table. Probably the Black Ops Soldier, because there are more of them around than ninjas. You don't see a lot of ninjas roaming the streets with their girlfriends. But you can't really tell who a Black Ops soldier is either, huh? Since they have to keep things secret.

If you mean a ninja from the movie 'ninja assassin', then the most definite answer would be the ninja. He can go invisible and move at incredible speeds. A black ops soldier wouldnt be able to shield himself from blades with just his gun. Ninja would have advantage in all situations due to his stealth abilities, thats why they are called ninjas, the first strike is meant to be the only strike (the deathblow). The whole bassis for a ninja is to kill silently. A soldier can adapt to strenious situations and perform well under constant pressure, but up against a ninja assasin, s/he wouldnt have a chance.

Which one would be able to hold a relationship the longest? Well that just depends on their personality. Both the ninja and soldier could very well be either loving and caring, or jersey shore wankers.

I think that a ninja would win in a fight. They are trained to fight while using stealth. The Black Ops member would not be know that the ninja was there until after the ninja strikes. On the other question, I think that a Black Ops member would be able to keep a girlfriend way better than the ninja could. The Deadliest Warrior is a good show. I don't think that they have put a ninja and a Black Ops member against each other. I have seen the ninja vs. spartan. That was a good one.

hmmm.... im a ninja guy, but imma have to go with the soldier.. the idea of a ninja and the intensity of their agility, hand to hand, mental, and accuracy training which takes decades to learn is the shit... and quiet as hell at that (bet not sneeze, cough, fart, or spit)... im talking this mofo can run jumping from house to house.....
realistically Blk Ops got technology to do just as much as they have to. they just get close enough or a good enough view of you and your fukkin head is blowed off. lol now thats fkkd up. u cant see, smell, taste, feel, or hear a mofo thats 1mile away looking at ur azz with a scope and a missile..

Like josh said Black ops would have the advantage of a real Feudal times ninja, but against a Hollywood ninja no chance.

I guess it all does depend on who's hunting who here. *Sigh* yeah, if he spotted him first, the black ops would shoot that poor little Asian guy before he saw it coming. But WOULD he see him? Aren't the shadows his friend - oh, yeah, I forgot night-vision goggles exist now. That's just the kinda thing a black ops soldier would have standard, isn't it? Goodbye, ninja.

I think more so the advancements of technology and experience passed down gives a black ops or any special forces soldier an advantage over a feudal ninja (shinobi as they were called back than) the shinobi were trained with ninjutsu or shinobi-no-jutsu which is pretty much a core training of how not to be detected with a lot less than what special forces have today to help them avoid detection, so strip them down bare and a ninja would surpass a black ops but give them their gadgets and a black ops has it hands down.

And a ginger ninja is just a nickname for people with red, orange or ginger hair no offense Ally.
