Midnight Munchies

So this thread is pretty much what it says!

Maybe I'm just a weirdo but for some reason mostly every night I get what you would call the 'Midnight Munchies', and I will literally cook a whole meal. Even if I'm asleep at the time, I will sometimes wake up and not be able to go back to sleep until I get something to eat!

So does anyone else get the midnight munchies, or for that matter, do you cook a whole meal just to satisfy your cravings? Let me know!

Oh boy! I don't just get midnight munchies, I get 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, all day....ect munchies, and usually if we have something to eat like left overs or tv dinners I might go for that. Most of the time though I just snack but, I find that if I have something to drink I don't snack as much. I always have to have something to drink.

Yeah, I get those food cravings in the middle of the night, and sometimes really early in the morning too. I blame my newly found sleep schedule. It's messing up my whole daily agenda. XD I don't cook a whole meal though. Usually, I'll just fix a bowl of cereal, reheat some leftovers or grab some light snack food and be done with it. No reason to dirty up the kitchen just to satisfy some midnight food craving.

I had dinner at 7pm then I had a whole bowl of cereal at 12am then I had a bigger bowl of cereal when I woke up at 6am not to mention I can have a huge lunch at 2pm then be hungry again 2 hours later. I usually have a mug of coffee and a snack before I go to bed but as long as I have the coffee just before I go to bed other wise if I stay up to long after I have it it starts to work its magic.

Mine are only really when I stay up a little too late, or don't eat supper. Then I am unable to sleep untill my rumblies go away...

I usually have my breakfast somewhere between 12 midday and 4pm, my lunch at around 7-9pm and my dinner at some point from midnight to 6am. (Dinner only after 3am if work gets in the way)

I guess my equivalent would probably be morning munchies, but a guy has to sleep occasionally.

Sometimes I get hungry late at night, but if I eat past ten o'clock, I'll wake up with the runs. Damn irritable bowel syndrome. Always mocking me with liquid poo.

im all about the midnight munches...just about every night. i usually just fix myself a bowl of cereal or a sandwich. but there have been a few times where iv'e waken up, got some pans and skillets out and made a meal - usually some breakfast tacos. im a big fan of breakfast food...just not at breakfast time

One time I wanted Chinese food at midnight, so I made myself eggdrop soup. That was a rare instance. Usually, I'll make myself red tea and see if that does the trick until I get to sleep. But I do admit the occasional indulgence in chips and hummus/salsa. Or goat cheese and crackers (omg...). Or sardines and spicy mustard and crackers (<3). I actually have a pretty sensitive stomach, but I find that as long as I'm eating healthy, no problems. Fast food is too risky, so you won't find me getting that late night craving satisfied with Taco Bell.

Poptarts! Very easy to snack on, not really messy, all kinds of flavors, can be eaten plain or warmed up in the microwave, or the toaster, etc.

I also have been on a health kick and have been indulging myself on celery and peanut butter late at night. Also, any kind of the Chunky soup is good too. :3

But anyway, I get snacky on special occasions(once or twice a semester). But pretty much I don't have the money or opportunity to get too snacky. That's one way of looking at it. Another would be to say I'm snacky all the time. I eat noodle cups and spam and ect... Just because that is usually all that is available.

That shit is super stocked at my place. I don't eat to much of it, cause I have to watch my weight, but my roomie eats the hell out of it. We go through 50 single packs of Maruchan Ramen Noodles a month, and 20 cans of Spam.

My roommate wakes up often for a snack(fatass). I often get pissed when he does cause he eats all of my Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Poptarts. The only sweet treat I indulge myself in, and the bastard eat em.

I generally satisfy munchies with cheezits or popcorn, my late night munchies ALWAYS have me craving sweets, something with my sleeping pills I guess, I dunno, but whenever I'm getting the effects of them I get the oddest cravings for sweets.

I can't eat too many cheez-its without getting indigestion, though, and I can't really eat past 9PM or I'll never sleep, substantial amounts of food (i.e. a meal) seems to completely counteract the sleepiness of my sleeping pills.

I used to have a pet that would always beg for food past midnight. The asian kid that sold it to me said that it was very important that I never feed it past midnight, or something terrible would happen.

I didn't listen.

My cute and fuzzy pet turned into something gross and destructive. I eventually had to put down, because I didn't want the whole town to be overrun with the things. Shining a bright light on it seemed to work just fine, but I had to deal with cleaning up the green ooze that was left behind.

Totally agree with that Rocky, & I love the Brown Sugar Cinnamon pop tarts the most!

Ive nuked them a couple of times, though I'm not a big fan of Radiated food, but they are just sooooo delicious after coming out of the microwave!

Since I've been able to stay up until, like, 2 in the morning these days, I've been finding more and more reasons to snack.

Its about midnight, or close to it, when I go to the kitchen and almost prepare a meal, when its really just a collection of little bites. You know: chips, cookies, and soda pop. Its almost like clockwork, its so routine. But lately, my parents haven't been buying much. That leaves me stuck with... well, whatever hasn't been digested completely. Usually just bread and bolonga, but I'm okay with a few sandwiches, too. So long as I have a drink.

My own fault... I hardly ate anything today. Oh well.

I usually get the midnight munchies, and make a small snack. If I eat something large before I go to bed, I won't sleep, so it has to be light and snacky. My favourite midnight snack is usually Doritos and dip, but we rarely have that in, so fruit is good too.

I have half an orange left - yay me.

As for the ramen and spam, you do have to watch that crap, tis not good for you and I'd prolly be a fatass too if, I didn't have access to free gym equipment and very little time to eat.
