i recently bought myself a pair of pants that i seriously could not afford. but i figured i'd treat myself anyway.... (shut up all you guys shaking your head going 'typical woman...' i will END you >:F)

Most recent expensive "purchase" I made was paying for one of my semesters this year which amounted to 300KM, or 200$ if you will. Most recent purchase though was GameBoy + GameBoy Pocket + The Flash all of which I got for 12$.

I recently bought a Blendtec. Can't tell you how pleased I am with it. It was $399, and saves a lot of time in the kitchen. I make a lot of raw food recipes and a lot of smoothies, so it's important to me to have a blender that can truly pulverize nuts, seeds, frozen berries and bananas, leafy greens, and whatever else I throw at it into a smooth paste/liquid. No chunks. And it does!

I've wanted it for months, saved up, and had a bigger than normal paycheck last time, so.... I went for it. I'm really glad I did.

If I was to list my own purchases I'd be screwed as I have NO money since the big move. But apparently what is Cilla's is mine and mine is hers so (I've done very well out of that arrangement..).

Just chuck in a Star Wars 320gb Kinect 360, a scarlet-red PS3 which we're picking up after our trip to Melbourne next week (add that in too I guess) and my Vita. Add a years XBL and 30-35 games since April and you're looking at about $7k AUD all up. Melbourne is PRICEYYYY.

Before that, it'd have to be my truck. 2011 Ford Escape XLT, for right around $30000. Told the guy that I wanted to finance it for an extra thousand off, then cut a check for the full amount when the first bill came in. Felt so baller.

Its because your stock market is somehow proportionate to the NYSE but with a delay of a few months (or so Ive been told).

Also it used to be proportional but the mining boom here has rendered that moot. It's really a separate economy now.

Expensive is highly subjective.

The last truly major purchase I made was when I finished paying my car off earlier this year, paid something like $2500 in one swoop. I generally spend $50 to $100 at a time on various things, excepting bills of course.

I'm a natural miser so when I do have something I want/need that is more than that, I tend to research the hell out of it and decide exactly what I want. Then I wait for a sale/price drop/whatever.

Gamestop has a sale going on, buy any new Vita and get a 50 dollar gift card, which I'll use to get a 16GB memory card.

There is also a used version gravity rush at the local gamestop. So I'll probably pick that up as well

I've been watching eBay for like a week now. They are usually going for about 200 used. So plus the 50ish for the 16GB I would end up at the same price either way.

I bought a second hand DS for £150, because it was the only package that had the game I wanted with it (3D Mario). It is in near mint condition, but there were some photos of the previous owner still on the SD card. Easily remedied, though. *deletes* I have already blown a further £20 on a bunch of downloads: Mario's Picross, Tetris, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Flagman (I had the original Game and Watch handheld game when I was a kid), and a crappy Sudoku game with really annoying sound effects.

Rent it, please! Do not buy full price! I sorta regret it as I could have bought the other things I wanted to get, but I had no choice because I didn't know where to rent the game. The game has a lot of replay value though!
