It was all right... You could really see the Guy Ritchie moments. But I digress this is no place for talks of movies. My question is this:

What do you do from your couch? More specifically I guess what I'm asking is what do you do to mellow out after a long day of class, bullshit, and money making??

I don't use a couch. I prop up a pillow against the couch, and lie on the floor. So I suppose I can't answer your question.

But the only TV I watch on a regular basis is the 6pm news, or, if I miss that, the late news at 10.30pm. Other than that, my TV-viewing is largely opportunistic. Often I'll prepare for and watch a film on TV, but I usually don't have the time when ads are factored in. Evening time is scarce enough as it is.

So I suppose I watch TV when it suits me. Too bad I don't have on-demand digital TV. But then again, that's why you have DVDs, video games, and the internet.

I generally fall asleep on my couch, because for some reason I find it more comfortable than my bed. As for what I do to mellow out after a long day, I usually play some video games. Go figure. I also tend to watch movies, mindless tv programming, and the occasional nap here and there.

I don't sit on a couch either. Sitting on the couch means sitting in the living room/lounge, and if I want to chill out, my room is where I go. I prefer it when it's quiet, away from the TV that is always too loud (my nan is going deaf... either that, or she can't see the volume indicator going up into its thirties and forties). x__x

I go to my room, and lay on my bed. The way my bedroom is set out is so that my television is at the foot of my bed, so watching something on BBC iPlayer or playing games or watching DVDs via the PS3 is very comfortable. I just prop my pillows and cushions up against the headboard, and lay down. If it's cold, I have a blanket/throw thing, and if it's really cold, I have my duvet. ^^



So... to chill out, the second I'm home from college I go to my room, get the laptop on, login to MSN and watch a movie or play a video game. Ahh... having the volume on twelve... <3

Ahh, twelve on televisions is reasonably low. It's loud enough for me to hear it wonderfully - having a small room amplifies the sound just a little. Just the volume downstairs is so loud, the sound is funny. When people talk, there is a background noise, and you can almost hear the speakers screaming for mercy.

When the house is empty, however, the music comes on louder. Louder.

One of the reasons I use TFF light. It makes you immune to these things.

If I'm mellowing out, I'm generally sitting in the old, broken recliner that I begged my mom not to throw out (and she subsequently put in my room). It's really comfy and unbelievably tacky, two things I love. There, I'm either playing video games or watching something on the television, probably some terrible reality show on VH1 or some sort of DVD.

Like for example, it's 3:43 in the morning, and I'm playing Bioshock. Ah, the joys of insomnia.

When I can't sleep, I turn to the powers of nyquil. I'm usually knocked out shortly thereafter and completely enjoying life the next day. I'll also pop a dvd into the 360 and watch that if I can't sleep.

I'm a big fan of passing out on my couch though. I used to do it all the time, but now my parents are finding new and unpleasant ways to wake me up at 7am. **** that noise.

At most i only use a couch for four hours a week when im playing Persona 4 on weekends. I have a ps3 in my own room and a 360 in my brothers so im usually sitting/lying or propped against a bed. The amount of time i use couches has dropped drastically since i watch tv a lot less( half an hour a week on average).

I'm in the same boat, but swap 9:27pm for 12:22pm and three children for one child. I'm probably more rested than you, but I agree... there isn't much rest when you have a kid!

If I'm out of melatonin or not crashing from addy then I'm normallly up till 3am watching netflix movies or playing h3. Sometimes I'll be youtube surfing, but that usually happens when I'm sauced up which can be another common occurance for me being up so early.
