I just got a new one, but you never forget your first...

MOBILE PHONE! (or cellphone if you prefer...)

After breaking my previous one, I got myself a new phone yesterday. It is a Samsung Galaxy Ace Android phone, and I really like it. It is taking a while to get used to the touch screen, but it's full of useful (and useless!) stuff.

This got me thinking about the very first phone I owned. It was a Nokia 3210 with a black and white (well, Game Boy-esque) screen, complete with Snake (remember that?) I bought it with some of my wages from my summer job working at the same office as my mum. With a later wage packet I bought a Scotland flag fascia (to express my Scottish heritage) from one of those 'gadget shops' which were popular at the time (there were two in the mall I used to frequent during my weekends, and four-hour breaks at college on Thursdays I had one year). When I upgraded to the next model up, the 3310 (which was pretty much the same thing, only smaller, and with smaller buttons...), I gave the old 3210 to my dad, Scotland cover and all (which he kept, being Scottish! ) My dad seems to get most of my old phones...

So do tell. Do you remember what your first mobile/cell was? Any memorable handsets...?

To this day I'm not sure why, but when I was second or third year of elementary my uncle send me Bosch 908 right from Germany. It was a neat mobile back then, rather "small" compared to it's competition, but since mobile phones weren't all that popular or available among kids I gave it to my parents. I think I still have it somewhere and it's still in working condition, but I guess that's quite normal since Bosch is well know for it's sturdy products.

I had a nokia 1100 as my first it was a solid phone it was that phone that convinced me nokia were the best brand, until one fateful night one it was unceremoniously knocked from my hands and flew through the air before smashing to the ground, evr\ery phone I had after that was crap.
I went through 6 phones before I got a nokia 6120 and it lasted me well after my contract ran up and I still keep it as a spare but I have recently upgraded to a Samsung GT blah blah blah and it seems to be ok it has a plastic touch screen not like most touch screens which are glass and shatter as soon it even looks at the ground but mine I have dropped a few times and it is ok still.

I had a small Sony Ericson mobile. It had colour screen, I don't think it had internet. I was 15 i think. I loved it. It was blue and cool. But someone stole it at a party. So then I had to use my sisters old crap phone., it just had a yellow screen and you could only call and text on it and you could hear the buttons crunch when you pressed on them. It was horrible lol.

I still have my first ever cellphone. Because I can't be bothered to get a new one.

The microphone has been busted for over a year now, and people have been bitching me about me not answering when they call (because it's no use obviously).

But I've been too lazy to buy a new one and learn to work with it.

I've been planning on buying an iPhone or something of the sorts for a while. I am curious to see how I will cope with the completely different way of handling the device. Touch screen and whatnot.

I cant remember, but it was some beast of a thing with an extendable ariel.and all the text messages were in caps and along one line across the tiny screen. Cant for the life of me remember but Ive had some serious mobile bricks in my time

This is my first phone. Some shitty little go phone that I picked up at wal mart in high school. Once I got a job I went, and got myself a new iPhone. It fell out of my pocket when I was cutting down a tree, and shattered when it hit the ground. Damn otterbox. Right now I currently have a blackberry. Not as many fun little apps as the iPhone, but it gets the job done none the less.

I had the ol' Samsung A300. Then I downgraded to some Nokia phone that weighed me down like there was a brick in my pocket. Snake. <3

I've been on Sony Ericsson's ever since. Had me a Sony Ericsson T610 for a long while before the K700i came to my hands. The T610 was my aunt's old phone that I was in love with, and mum gave me her K700i when she got her upgrade. I broke that one science class when I was leaning back on my stall and dropped about a metre onto my ass (the phone was in my back pocket). @_@

Currently, I have a Sony Ericsson W810i. I've had two of these as the first one was stolen. It's not given me many headaches, and looks barely used after the four years I've had it (I take good care of my stuff).

I got my first phone in '03, a Sony Ericsson t300. I remember it having an awesome mini-golf game on it, and a bulky camera attachment that took terrible photos!



I'm now using a Nokia e61i, which is about 4 years old now. Kinda bulky, but it's been very durable and takes decent photos...

Junior Year 2006, i told me parents i wasn't going to play football. So they bribed me with a cell phone since i was just about the only kid who didn't have one.

First phone I ever had, I think. Maybe the model before it. But I definitely owned that one. Had smartphones never come out, I would have loved to still own that phone. Such a beast.
