• car remote unlock
• tiny flashlight (comes in handy a lot)

By the end of the day my pants are sagging when they were almost hard to put on when I got them out of the dryer that morning. Are we technologically enough advanced to put all this shit into one thing?

I think it's very possible. Think of a slender phone model (much like the current ones on the market), with a scannable backside that acted as a credit card. Do away with cash (almost everyone takes credit card/debit cards now in the US). The scanner could also work as a door lock or car lock (although I see that being an issue already).

I feel like reducing all doors to activation by key cards would be a step towards being more secure in all ways, maybe having one key card that you can be given access to other doors by scanning them would eliminate keys all together. I think that credit and debit cards already eliminate the need to carry cash around but there are still things that you want to have cash for. But like Unknown Entity said, if you lose that card you're pretty much screwed

There's an iPhone case on the apple store that doubles as a wallet/card holder if you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS which could bring it down to phone/wallet and keys. If you only carried building keys you could do what what of my old bosses did and install card keys on all doors - one card, access to all.

So yeah, phone case with card/cash compartments, key being one of the cards in the card compartment. OOOOOOOOOR you could invest in a belt, awesome devices.

I myself don't have such problem, when going on college I always have a bag with me so if I have any additional "weight" it goes there, but usually I only care essentials, cash, mobile and my ID Card.

The best present day solution that doesn't require buying anything else is wearing a jacket that has pockets (though I think most do anyway). Jacket pockets are a good place to put a phone or spare things that do work so well in pants. Plus if you put anything heavy like keys or a wallet the jacket won't drag down like pants do. It all works out.

I don't generally carry anything in my pockets. I do always have my keys with me though, on a carabiner I clip to my pants. It's got my house keys, my car keys and my employee keytag.

I carry everything else in my purse unless I'm going somewhere where it makes more sense to keep everything necessary in my pockets. Then I just have my wallet. Inside said wallet is my license, my debit card, my two credit cards, occasionally random amounts of cash and coins, and receipts.

If I'm just around the house I tend to keep my phone in my pocket. Sometimes I'll have my camera in my other pocket when outside or out and about somewhere.

And, uh, that's it. If I have work I'll use a satchel for some extra stuff (like a book), and I'll also use that for my work keys. I have home keys, but I don't take them anywhere, preferring instead to just use the key under the mat yo (**** yeah New Zealand). When I go to the gym I'll just carry my gym pass in my hand, so I just leave that at home.
